  • Patent number: 10545938
Abstract: A software voting or prediction system iteratively solicits participant preferences between members of a set, with a binary tree built used to minimize the number of iterations required. As each member of the set is considered, it is pairwise-compared with select members represented by nodes already in the binary tree, with iterations beginning at a root node of the tree and continuing to a leaf node. The newly considered member is placed as a new leaf node, and the tree is height-rebalanced as appropriate. Red-black tree coloring and tree rotation rules are optionally used for this purpose. Yes/no preference tallies are kept for each member of the set throughout the tree-building process and are ultimately used for scoring. Height-rebalancing of the tree helps minimize the number of iterations needed to precisely score each member of the set relative to its alternatives.

  • Patent number: 10346338
Abstract: A computer-implemented method includes detecting, using a processor, an arrangement of a plurality of blocks that are interconnected, where each block of the plurality of blocks is a physical block representing a corresponding atomic service. It is determined, using the processor, whether each atomic service represented by a block in the plurality of blocks is configured to communicate with each other atomic service represented by an other block with which the block is interconnected in the plurality of blocks. Based at least in part on determining that each atomic service represented by a block in the plurality of blocks is configured to communicate with each other atomic service represented by an other block with which the block is interconnected in the plurality of blocks, a microservice represented by the arrangement of the plurality of blocks is defined. The microservice is deployed.

  • Patent number: 10339612
Abstract: An online social networking system extracts terms from an unstructured job title record. The system searches a job role taxonomy database with the extracted terms to identify job roles. For each job role identified, the system extracts a plurality of additional terms appearing in the unstructured job title record. For each additional term, the system maps the additional term to a standardized modifier, thereby identifying a job seniority modifier, a job specialty modifier, a job accreditation modifier, and a job status modifier for each additional term. The system creates a multi-dimensional standardized job title for the member profile or job posting by writing the job role, the job seniority modifier, the job specialty modifier, the job accreditation modifier, and the job status modifier to a standardization record in a standardization database.

  • Patent number: 10332120
Abstract: A method and a score management node for supporting service evaluation by obtaining a perception score reflecting a user's experience of one or more services delivered by a telecommunication network. The score management node receives a network measurement related to a current service event of service delivery to the user within a predefined time length from a previous service event, and determines a correlation level reflecting the user's perception of the current service event as correlated with the previous service event. A quality score is determined for the current service event, reflecting the user's perception of quality of service delivery and an associated significance reflecting the user's perception of importance of service delivery, based on the network measurement and the correlation level. The perception score is then calculated for the current service event as the quality score weighted by the associated significance and is made available for the service evaluation.

Abstract: Usage-based management of email rules is provided. An unused email rule of a set of active rules is identified. In response to detecting that the unused email rule is removed from the set of active rules, whether the unused email rule matches an incoming message is determined. Whether a count associated with the unused email rule exceeds a predetermined threshold is determined in response to determining that the unused email rule matches the incoming message. The unused email rule is restored to the set of active rules in response to determining that the count exceeds the predetermined threshold.

Such a system may match résumés and job descriptions with a scoring system, and may initiate communications between one or more candidates and a recruiter once an appropriate number of matches have been found. The system may then be configured to field responses to commonly asked questions from a question database, and notify the recruiter if a question is asked that it cannot answer, and may further be configured to proactively ask questions to the candidate if desired. This may allow recruiters to focus on the highest level of vetting, and on aspects of the recruitment process such as promoting the hiring company and salary negotiations.

  • Patent number: 10264470
Abstract: Disclosed is a system for collecting data and mapping wireless network coverage in a building such as a retail store. A mobile computing device is used by an employee to collect data captures and wireless coverage indicators in the retail store. The wireless coverage indicator includes data on the status of wireless network coverage in the location where the data capture was collected. The data capture and the wireless coverage indicators are wirelessly transmitted to a utility for mapping a building when a wireless network is available. If no wireless network is available, the data is stored in the mobile computing device until a wireless network is available. The utility for mapping a building uses information in the data capture to determine the location where the data capture was collected, and maps the data in the wireless coverage indicator to the location on a map of the building.

  • Patent number: 10255576
Abstract: A computer implemented system and method for identifying leaders in an organization. The system includes two repositories; first that stores information related to existing/known leaders and second that stores tacit and explicit knowledge related to the employees. The repositories store relevant attributes and attribute values of employees and known leaders according to their ranking in their field of activity, to form a digital persona. The digital persona of known leaders is then compared with the digital persona of an employee suitable for the leadership to form a leadership score. A leader is then chosen based on the leadership ranking which is based on leadership score. Thus, the employees, based on circumstances, may get more opportunities to prove their leadership abilities as the leadership ranking changes periodically.
