    Abstract: A method, system and computer program product for informing users regarding the rescheduling of a meeting. A counter, associated with a meeting, is set to the value of 1 when the meeting has been rescheduled for the first time. Upon a user (e.g., meeting initiator, meeting recipient) proposing to reschedule the meeting a further time, an indicator is presented to the user informing the user that the meeting has been previously rescheduled. Such information may be used by the user to decide whether to proceed with rescheduling the meeting. If the user decides to proceed, the counter is incremented and a meeting invitation is generated, where the meeting invitation includes an indication (e.g., number of times the meeting has been rescheduled obtained from the counter) regarding the meeting having been previously rescheduled. In this manner, the meeting recipients would have knowledge that the meeting has been previously rescheduled.

The system notifies all available golfers simultaneously and requires less effort. The system accepts only one substitute golfer for each request, based on whichever substitute responds first. The request contains the desired duration of the meeting, and possibly a list of attendees, location, and other details. These requests are maintained in a queue for the hard-to-schedule person. The hard-to-schedule person, or their proxy, reviews these requests and selects a suitable time for the meeting, thereby causing an update to be sent back to the organizer and the other attendees, thus indicating the appointed time for the meeting.

    Abstract: A computer-implemented method provides location-sensitive and time-sensitive calendaring to a wireless device, such as a cell phone, pager, PDA, etc. A user's calendar is maintained with a number of appointments, start times and end times for the appointments, meeting place and a list of attendees for the appointments. When the present time reading is within a predetermined minimum of a meeting start time of an appointment of a calendar user, the location of the user is determined based on the location of the wireless device. The location of the meeting place is also determined. Using historical data (of the user or others), the estimated time of arrival of the user at the meeting place is determined. If the estimated time of arrival is after the meeting start time, then a late message may be sent to the user and/or to the other meeting attendees.
