  • Patent number: 11188833
Abstract: The disclosure below describes a knowledge pattern machine that goes beyond and is distinct from a traditional search engine as simple information aggregator. Rather than acting as a search engine of the data itself, the knowledge pattern machine use variously layers of artificial intelligence to discover correlations within the queries and historical data, and to derive and recognize data patterns based on user queries for predictively generating new knowledge items or reports that are of interest to the user. Previous patterns and knowledge items or reports are accumulated and incorporated in identification of new data patterns and new predictive knowledge items or reports in response to future user queries, thus providing a stateful machine. The predictive knowledge items are updated in real-time without user interference as the underlying data sources evolve overtime.

  • Patent number: 11151532
Abstract: Techniques for exchanging data segments between data aggregators and data consumers. In an embodiment, a value of an arbitrary data segment selected by a data consumer is computed. In particular, an individual user value is calculated for each user represented in the data segment, wherein the individual user value is a weighted sum (or other function) of the one or more features of the data segment attributable to that user, plus an additive gaussian noise. The overall value of the data segment is the sum of the individual user values. An offer price for the data segment can then be calculated using the overall value. Once a request is received from the consumer to purchase the data segment at the offer price, the data segment can be exchanged between the aggregator and consumer. Thus, a data marketplace or platform for the exchange of data segments is enabled.

  • Patent number: 11144598
Abstract: The described technology is generally directed towards quasi-listing table entries that facilitate the efficient return of an object list in response to a query for relevant objects in a data storage system. A quasi-listing table entry is created when an object is created, and subsequently converted to a normal listing table entry. A normal listing table entry is converted to a quasi-listing table entry when an object is deleted, with the quasi-listing table entry subsequently deleted. When an object list request is received, a normal listing table entry can be used directly to add to the object list; only if a quasi-listing table entry is encountered (before it can be converted or deleted) does the object table need to be accessed to determine if the object actually exists. This eliminates most object table accesses, including those in remote geographic zones, thereby making object listing significantly more efficient.

  • Patent number: 11127066
Abstract: A computing system generates recommendations for users within the context of a network service. To account for objectives of various users associated with the network service, some of which may not reach optimality at the same time, the computing system generates values associated with each of the objectives separately. For example, for each objective, the system may train a computer model to produce a representative value. To generate a recommendation of an entity for a user, the system uses the generated objective values as inputs to an optimization algorithm. The optimization step may use linear programming or quadratic programming to generate a recommendation score, for example. This two-step process allows the system to account for multiple objectives and makes the system easily adaptable to change when the set of objectives is updated.

  • Patent number: 11093925
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for use in imposing chargeback probability scores on network transactions. One exemplary method includes obtaining at least one transaction detail of a network transaction between a consumer and a merchant. A computing device determines a chargeback probability score for the network transaction based, at least in part, on the at least one transaction detail. Chargeback data is transmitted to an entity associated with the network transaction, where the chargeback data includes at least one of (a) the chargeback probability score and (b) an indicator that the chargeback probability score fails to satisfy one or more thresholds, thereby permitting the entity to hold and/or decline the network transaction when the chargeback probability score fails to satisfy one or more thresholds.

Abstract: In an embodiment, one or more ad data sets are received at a first processor. The ad data sets may be partially encoded or encrypted to prevent the processor from viewing certain visitor information. The ad data sets are merged together around common users or order IDs. An attribution credit is applied to each advertising event, creating an attribution data set. The data in the attribution data set is aggregated according to each advertising event, and based on the aggregated results, an advertising recommendation is calculated and sent to the advertising entity.

  • Patent number: 11087337
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for evaluating aggregate merchant sets, which are often generated by a payment network. One exemplary method includes accessing, by a computing device, a monitor score and a volatility score for an aggregate merchant set representative of multiple merchants having at least one disparate parameter in a transaction data structure, fuzzy sets for the monitor score and the volatility score comprising linguistic values, and inference rules that use the linguistic values in logical operations. The method also generally includes determining degrees of membership of the monitor score and volatility score to the associated fuzzy sets and generating an evaluation index based on the inference rules and the degrees of membership to the fuzzy sets, thereby providing an indication of a propriety of the aggregation of said multiple merchants.

Abstract: Detecting trends is provided. The method comprises receiving, from a number of data sources, data regarding choices of people at a number of specified events and public places and determining, according to a number of clustering algorithms, trend clusters according to data received from the data sources cross-referenced to defined event types and place types. Customer profile data and preferences are received from a number of registered customers through user interfaces, and a number of customer clusters according to the customer profile data and preferences are determined according to clustering algorithms. Correlation rules are calculated between the trend clusters and the customer clusters. A number of trend predictions and recommendations are then sent to a user regarding a number of specified events or time frames according to the correlation rules.
