  • Patent number: 10659317
Abstract: Techniques for dynamically adapting cloud applications are described. A current value of a Key Performance Indicator (KPI) of an executing cloud service instance of a cloud application is detected. A determination is made as to whether the current value of the KPI is unacceptable (e.g., either it is outside of an acceptable range or is within an adaptation region). If the current value of the KPI is unacceptable, a first application programming interface (API) is invoked to request a cloud service instance monitor to adapt the cloud service instance to operate within an acceptable KPI range. If the cloud service instance monitor was unsuccessful, the unacceptable KPI is escalated to the cloud service monitor for the type of the cloud service instance. If the cloud service monitor is unsuccessful, the unacceptable KPI is escalated to the application monitor.

Abstract: A service monitoring system executing on one or more processors may have operations that are determined by control information. Control over the operation of the service monitoring system can be exerted through the use of a graphical interface. The graphical interface may present the control information of a new or existing correlation search definition for user interaction. The service monitoring system may maintain a data store of key performance indicator (KPI) data, where a KPI value in the data store is produced by a KPI-defining search query that derives the value from machine data associated with one or more entities that perform a monitored service. In this embodiment, a statement in the ingested document is compared with a contradictory statement found in an ingested post of a threaded discussion. The statement and the contradictory statement are evaluated by the QA system. The statement in the ingested document is replaced with the contradictory statement in response to the evaluation revealing that the contradictory statement is correct and that the statement is incorrect.

  • Patent number: 9898270
Abstract: A system and method for facilitating execution of one or more data integration projects in multiple environments or an environment that undergoes changes. Each project has a set of project parameters, which are bound to environment variables. Each environment has a corresponding environment representation with environment variables and corresponding values. Each project is mapped to an environment representation. Values of environment variables are provided to projects with corresponding parameters. When one or more projects are changed to a different environment with a different corresponding environment representation, the environment variable values of the new environment representation are provided to the projects. When an environment change is reflected in the environment representation, the changed variable values are provided to mapped projects.

Abstract: A method includes analyzing, by a processor, a first version of a computer program. The analyzing includes identifying a first data processing element included in the first version of the computer program. The first data processing element references a first data source external to the first version of the computer program. The method includes generating a data source element that represents a second data source different from the first data source. The method includes generating a second version of the computer program. The second version of the computer program includes the generated data source element and a second data processing element that is based on the first data processing element. In the second version of the computer program, the second data processing element references the generated data source element.

  • Patent number: 9755913
Abstract: One or more processing devices access a service definition for a service provided by one or more entities that each produce machine data or about which machine data is generated. The service definition identifies the entities that provide the service and, for each entity, identifying information for locating machine data pertaining to that entity. The processing devices access a key performance indicator (KPI) for the service that is defined by a search query that produces a value derived from the machine data pertaining to the entities identified in the service definition. The value indicates how the service is performing at a point in time or during a period of time and indicates a state of the KPI. A graphical interface is displayed and an indication of at least one threshold, which defines an end of a range of values representing a state of the KPI, for the KPI is received.

Abstract: Contact centers strive to match the demands and preferences of their customers with the skills and abilities of the agents who process work items associated with the customers (e.g., contacts). However, the preferred agent may be unavailable, non-existent, backlogged or otherwise ineligible to accept the work item. An agent who is non-preferred but still qualified may be utilized to process the work item, such as an agent with adequate skills with respect to a particular attribute of the work item. Reports for the selection of the non-preferred but qualified agents are provided herein. A contact center may then utilize such reporting to identify underserved areas of their customer base.

  • Patent number: 9400778
Abstract: A computer-implemented method identifies textual statement relationships. Textual statement pairs including a first and second textual statement are identified, and parsed word group pairs are extracted from first and second textual statements. The parsed word groups are compared, and a parsed word score for each statement pair is calculated. Word vectors for the first and second textual statements are created and compared. A word vector score is calculated based on the comparison of the word vectors for the first and second textual statements. A match score is determined for the textual statement pair, with the match score being representative of at least one of the parsed word score and the word vector score.
