Abstract: A server system can operate to function as an automatic association of tags defining a system within a process. The operations include accessing tags and associated signals including a plurality of data values over time indicative of a physical property, behavior or measurement of a component of the process. For each signal, calculating a time-weighted average over a specific time period, selecting a specific number of different day periods sampled from the tags and signals, and for each tag, calculating a slope and intercept by calculating a linear regression of plurality of signals over the specific time period. Further, calculating a residual value of each data value of the signals over the specific time period, and calculating a normalized value of each residual value, and then calculating the absolute value of the dot product of the normalized residual value and the residual value of a subsequent number of tags.

  • Patent number: 11537673
Abstract: An apparatus includes an interface and a processor. The interface sends and receives data over a network. The processor uses the interface to transmit a first series of profiles to a first user. The first series of profiles corresponds to recommendations of users for a second user. The processor also uses the interface to receive a selection from the first user of a first profile of the first series of profiles. In response to receiving the selection from the first user of the first profile of the first series of profiles, the processor determines, based at least in part on the selection from the first user of the first profile, a second series of profiles. The processor additionally uses the interface to transmit the second series of profiles to the second user.

  • Patent number: 11527322
Abstract: A user interface to a medical database stores context information from previous queries and uses the context information as part of information selection criteria for a current query, without requiring the users to fully specify the information selection criteria in each query. The context information is automatically stored as a profile for each user, for each group of users and, optionally, for each institution to which a user is affiliated. In response to a current user query, a combination of the information selection criterion currently entered by the user and one or more information selection criteria previously entered by the user, group and (optionally) institution is used to query the medical database. Optionally, a user's group membership may be automatically determined, based on current physical location of the user and potential groups, for example as estimated from a meeting calendar or signals received by a wireless access point.

  • Patent number: 11500887
Abstract: Technologies for tuning performance and/or accuracy of similarity search using stochastic associative memories (SAM). Under a first subsampling approach, columns associated with set bits in a search key comprising a binary bit vector are subsampled. Matching set bits for the subsampled columns are aggregated on a row-wise basis to generate similarity scores, which are then ranked. A similar scheme is applied for all the columns with set bits in the search key and the results for top ranked rows are compared to evaluate a tradeoff between throughput boost versus lost accuracy. A second approach called continuous column read, and iterative approach is employed that continuously scores the rows as each new column read is complete. The similarity scores for an N-1 and Nth-1 iteration are ranked, a rank correlation is calculated, and a determination is made to whether the rank correlation meets or exceeds a threshold.

Abstract: Systems and methods for searching digital content are disclosed. A method includes receiving, from a user, a base search constraint. A search constraint includes search values or criteria. A recall set is generated based on the base search constraint. Recommended search constraints are determined and provided to the user. The recommended search constraints are statistically associated with the base search constraint. The method receives, from the user, a selection of a first search constraint included in the plurality of recommend search constraints. The method generates and provides search results to the user that include a re-ordering of the recall set. The re-ordering is based on a search constraint set that includes both the base search constraint and the selected first search constraint. The re-ordering is further based on a weight associated with the base search constraint and another user-provided weight associated with the first search constraint.

Abstract: A system for automatically generating textual information describing a vehicle being advertised for purchase is disclosed. The system comprises a processor and a memory communicatively coupled to the processor, the memory including: a vehicle identification number (VIN) decoder logic to decode a VIN to determine a vehicle represented by the VIN, a feature determination logic configured to determine a normalized list of features associated with the vehicle, and a vehicle text generation logic configured to generate textual information describing the vehicle. The memory further includes a feature prioritization logic configured to perform prioritization operations to determine priority values associated with one or more features of the normalized list of features. In some instances, decoding the VIN includes (i) determining attributes of the vehicle including make, model and year, and (ii) retrieving vehicle option codes from a first data store, wherein the vehicle option codes are associated with the VIN.

Abstract: A method, apparatus and computer program product for creating parse trees from mixed records is described. A mixed record is received including a first entry containing a first natural language phrase and a second entry containing a first structured data entry. Using the first natural language phrase, a first parse tree structure is created joining words in the first natural language phrase with natural links indicating their semantic relationship within the first natural language phrase. A first synthetic node is created which represents the first structured data entry. The first synthetic is joined to the first parse tree structure using a synthetic link to a node in the parse tree to produce a pseudo parse tree. The pseudo parse tree is sent to a question answer system for answering user queries by reference to the pseudo parse tree.

Abstract: Described herein are mechanisms to allow users to access functionality of applications in a suite of applications. In a first aspect, when a query relating to functionality of an application is received from a user, an index containing both top-level and sub-level functionality is searched. Results are ranked using a trained machine learning model using both context describing user interactions and the search results. A subset of the ranked results are presented to the user as options. In a second aspect the index can comprise entries describing functionality from other applications so that results presented to the user can include cross-application functionality. In a third aspect, the index can be searched using the context prior to receiving a query and adjusting the user interface based on the results. In a fourth aspect, the system can recommend other applications and/or devices that are better suited to a user's intent.

Abstract: Systems and methods are described for sharing a user interface between users. The system transmits live video simultaneously to a plurality of users. Then, the system determines a subset of the plurality of users, such that the subset includes two users that have a predetermined relationship. Then, during playback of the video, the system detects an object in a frame of the video corresponding to preferences of the first user. In response, the system determines whether the second user is researching information related to the object during playback of the video. If the second user is researching such information, the system streams a mirror image of a user interface with which the second user is performing the researching to the first user.
