Parsing Data Structures And Data Objects Patents (Class 707/755)
  • Patent number: 8572082
Abstract: In a generation device, a term determiner, for reference terms and a similar meaning term that has similar meaning to any of the reference terms, determines if each of the reference terms and the similar meaning term are both included in a document data group. An extractor extracts a reference term and the similar meaning term of the reference term that were both determined to be included in the document data group. A priority determiner determines an output priority to the extracted similar meaning term on the basis of appearance of at least either of the similar meaning term and the reference term in the document data group. And a list generator generates a the similar meaning term list in such a way that the extracted reference term, the similar meaning term of the extracted reference term, and the output priority are associated with one another.

Abstract: An approach is presented for generating a log parser. Regular expressions are received and stored in a crowd-sourced data repository. An instruction is received to create a log parser based on a sample log. The sample log is received. Matches are identified between strings of characters included in the received sample log and regular expressions included in the stored regular expressions. Each match indicates a stored regular expression is capable of parsing a string included in the sample log. Based on the identified matches, the log parser is generated so as to include the regular expressions that match the strings included in the sample log.

Abstract: A powerful set of features can assist software developers in searching source code. Source code can be queried to find occurrences of source code elements mapped to domain concepts appearing in an ontology. Queries can specify a search for occurrences of particular operations performed on domain concepts within the source code. Query expansion can be used to locate related domain concepts as indicated in the ontology. Query keyword weighting can be used to emphasize one domain concept over another. Tools can be provided to create the ontology and associate the ontology with the elements appearing in the source code. Results can include user interface features assisting in navigation to a location within the source code associated with the query results.

Abstract: Text compression and encryption is achieved by using a predetermined dictionary not unique to the encoded text to substitute codes for words and phrases thereby obviating transmission of the dictionary along with transmitted encoded text. The codes of the dictionary are made of one or more text characters such that the message, once encoded, continues to be a legitimate text message and can travel through any data transport medium through which a conventional unencoded text message can travel. Non-word characters delimit codes and unencoded words in an encoded message. Advantages include message filtering and maintaining message threads of short messages, including SMS.

Abstract: Methods which use an ID domain to improve searching are described. An embodiment describes an index phase in which an image of a document is converted into the ID domain. This is achieved by dividing the text in the image into elements and mapping each element to an identifier. Similar elements are mapped to the same identifier. Each element in the text is then replaced by the appropriate identifier to create a version of the document in the ID domain. This version may be indexed and searched. Another embodiment describes a query phase in which a query is converted into the ID domain and then used to search an index of identifiers which has been created from collections of documents which have been converted into the ID domain. The conversion of the query may use mappings which were created during the index phase or alternatively may use pre-existing mappings.

Abstract: Systems and methods for generating dynamic communication contracts in a multi-tenant database system based on the datamodel of the user using the service. The communication contract contains objects, e.g., SOAP-objects, custom to the specific user's datamodel, including standard objects customized to the user's own security model and business purpose as well as entirely unique custom objects that are created by the user and available to only the user's organization. A database server queries the database for all objects available to that user (standard and custom), and all the fields on all those objects that are available to that user. The server iterates over the set of objects and each of their sets of fields and generates a contract that is specifically tailored to the user's own datamodel and field level security. The software validation utilizes one or more trusted platform modules (TPM) to secure multiple subsystems including virtual machines in the breakout system. Hash values for the software in the various subsystems are placed in Platform Configuration Registers (PCRs) of the TPM. The TPM cryptographically signs quotes, which are a collection of hash values from the PCRs. The breakout system produces an extensible markup language (XML) file with the signed quotes related to the subsystems and sends them to a network management system for verification. Abstract: Embodiments of the invention relate to a method for retrieving event data. The method includes receiving, by an event management device, an event query requesting event data corresponding to a filtering parameter, the filtering parameter being a non-indexed database parameter of an Internet Protocol database (IPDB). The method includes generating, by the event manager device, a Bloom filter value based upon the filtering parameter included in the event query. The method includes comparing, by the event manager device, the Bloom filter value with a Bloom filter index entry of an index file of the IPDB, the index file corresponding to the requested event data, the Bloom filter index entry indicating existence of the filtering parameter as part of the IPDB and reading, by the event manager device, the entry from the index file database when the Bloom filter value matches the Bloom filter index entry.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to processing computer documents. According to one aspect, a method for locating an electronic document may include acquiring a source document of a target document to be located, wherein the target document has a sending-receiving relation with the source document. Metadata information of the source document may be extracted. The extracted metadata information may be packaged to generate a link to the source document, the link being used for locating the target document. According to an example method and the system, it may be possible to directly and automatically locate the target document having a sending-receiving relation with a source document based on a link to the source document containing metadata information without manually analyzing and extracting the related information on the source document or changing the existing access right to the source document and the target document.

Abstract: A computer implemented method and computer usable program product for version control of source code. In one embodiment, a source code file is scanned for relationships between source code sections. A semantic graph with dependencies and metadata describing the source code sections is constructed. The dependencies indicate the relationships between the source code sections. If changes are received for the semantic graph, the semantic graph is modified with the changes to form a modified semantic graph.

Abstract: Management of metadata applied to life cycle inventory (LCI) and life cycle assessment (LCA) data is provided. Life cycle inventory data may be provided through a secure framework to a data hub where it may be validated and audited and where the received life cycle inventory data may ultimately be used to generate a life cycle assessment score for a given product. Life cycle inventory data may be provided via a structured data template provided by a supplier or obtained by a supplier via a requested unit business process model. Metadata may be applied to each LCI data item to allow the data items to be stored, sorted, search, retrieved and used for validating and auditing the data and for comparing the data to other data items of similar data types for eventual use in the generation of the aforementioned life cycle assessment score for a given product.

The method and system parse electronic information messages (e.g., e-mail, IM, SMS, MMS, social networking messages, etc.) using information theory for keywords and make search engine queries or database queries for electronic links based on the identified keywords. Hierarchical electronic links are added to the electronic information messages creating a modified electronic information message. This allows additional electronic information to be accessed from the modified electronic information message based on information content of the original electronic information message via pre-determined hierarchy.

Abstract: A “data breach” or loss of sensitive data can cause an organization to lose revenues or suffer other damages. Analyzing data to locate a breach and to identify its source, however, is difficult because the data can come from many sources in an unstructured format and, typically, there is a large amount of data to analyze. A forensic analysis system, according to one embodiment, collects unstructured data from disparate sources, like the Internet, and peer-to-per filesharing and social media networks, and generates structured representations of the data, called virtual profiles. The system forms relationships among the virtual profiles. The system uses the virtual profiles and relationships to reduce the amount of information to be analyzed while including additional information that is related for analysis. By analyzing a smaller amount of related information, a cyber forensic analyst is better able to identify a data breach or other suspicious or illegal activity.

The statistical engine is trained to recognize certain types of data and the pattern engine is programmed to recognize the grammatical pattern of certain types of data. The statistical engine may scan the sequence of characters to output first data, and the pattern engine may break down the first data into subsets of data. Alternatively, the statistical engine may output items that have a predetermined probability or greater of being a certain type of data and the pattern engine may then detect the data from the output items and/or remove incorrect information from the output items.
