The user provides the information about the user's life state. This information may include at least demographic information, ethnic information, social information and psychological information. The user may grant partners permission to access the information about the user's life. The granting of the permissions is performed and controlled by the user and may be limited to some information about the user's life. The partners are also members of the information delivery system. The partners are evaluated using a set of criteria before they become members of the information delivery system. The partners may use the information about the user's life to filter its information according to the information about the user's life.

One or more additional collectors can be instantiated in the system, for example, in response to an increase in recordable events detected in the CDN. The system can include an aggregator for aggregating the collected analytics with analytics collected from other edge stages of the CDN. The system can also include a data store that stores the aggregated analytics according to a configurable data model.

The method comprises: receiving, from a user, a request for a data post in said database; determining that said user should be allowed access to said requested data post based on a security context associated with said data post and said user; providing said user with access to said data post; and validating, by an external security system, at least one of the user and the data post, said validation being based on a validation field, controlled by the external security system and being associated with said user and/or data post. Hereby, the database can be operated with its native operational procedures, thereby enabling a very fast and efficient performance. The augment information is also selected based on the user profile associated with the mobile computing device. The augment information is to be transmitted from the server computer to the mobile computing device using wireless communication and is used by the mobile computing device to overlay the frames of the video stream being captured by the mobile computing device.

A directory server receives a search request from a client application comprising a search filter control defining a set of requested data, a sort control defining a sorting order of the set of requested data, and a range filter control defining a range of entries in the requested data. Data entries matching a search value defined in the search filter control and sorted according to sort attributes defined in the sort control are obtained from a set of directories associated with the directory server to form a sorted list of matching entries. A subset of data entries in the sorted list that match a range value defined in the range filter control are collected, and a response comprising the collected subset of data entries is then sent to the client application.

Abstract: A data marketplace infrastructure allows a data source company or a third party to automate generation of one or more applications in association a data feed. In contrast to custom, manual development of applications, the data marketplace infrastructure constructs applications that suggest applicability to the data feed. Factors suggesting applicability include without limitation similarity of data structures and similarity of subject matter. Based on an applicability determination, patterns of historical visual usage and patterns of historical business logic usage may be used to identify expressions specifying the visuals and business logic that may be copied to and used in a new application in association with the data feed. Furthermore, previewers can provide feedback to help tune which automatically generated applications are maintained in association with the data feed and which are discarded or altered in some way.

When a data line request is received, a determination is made as to whether there are currently sufficient data resources to perform an implicit data line read. If there are not currently sufficient data resources to perform an implicit data line read, a time period (number of clock cycles) before sufficient data resources will become available to perform an implicit data line read is estimated. A determination is then made as to whether the estimated time period exceeds a threshold. An explicit tag request is generated if the estimated time period exceeds the threshold. If the estimated time period does not exceed the threshold, the generation of a tag request is delayed until sufficient data resources become available. An implicit tag request is then generated.

Abstract: Many software applications allow users to consume and interact with a variety of data, such as files, photos, web pages, emails, and/or other content. Because the amount of content may be cumbersome to sift through, software applications may provide filtering and searching capabilities to aid users in finding desired content. However, the trial and error involved in current searching techniques may be time consuming and/or diminish the user's experience. Accordingly, one or more systems and/or techniques for presenting visual previews of search results are disclosed herein. In particular, a user may reference an identifier (e.g., “Bill”) that may be used as search criteria to retrieve corresponding objects (e.g., photos of Bill). A visual preview of the retrieved objects may be presented to the user. The user may quickly view visual previews of search results by referencing various identifiers without committing to a particular search result set.

In a string filtering process through the method, system, and device, when Hash mapping positions of the keywords of the data stream are a subset of the Hash mapping positions of the character words, it indicates that the data stream passes through the string filtering, and it is not required to store the keywords and further compare the keywords with the character words, thereby saving the storage space and improving performance.

One or more user types are identified for a search-based query, and may correspond to a number of user relevant results, and which user results are selected. A user profile can be determined for the respective user types for the search-based query, which may identify a proportion of the users that belong to that type, and how many results are relevant to that type. A set of relevant results can be identified for the respective user types for the search-based query, based on a number of results used by the user type. An improved ranking of the results can be determined for the search-based query, from the one or more sets of relevant results, based on user profiles and a desired user satisfaction metric for a desired number of users.

The disambiguated scans, geographic, temporal, and user-specific information, are obtained by the server that processes, and records the messages. These messages and a user profile—which may include updated user-specific behavior information, situational and ambient information, accumulated history of scanned code messages, and integration with outside database information—the server selects information to serve to the users' mobile devices from an information base.

The computer system dynamically builds the query expression based on both the received inputs and the available features provided by the service as indicated by the dynamic system model. The query expression also includes metadata structures representing those features of the service which are provided by the service. The computer system also queries across the dynamic system model using the dynamically built query expression to retrieve and provide the service features requested in the received user input.

Abstract: A robust knowledge-based management and sharing system organized by context for expertise-based or context-based searching and retrieval of relevant information is disclosed. The various embodiments and techniques described herein are used to organize a user's data and communications around the user's expertise or one or more contexts the user is associated with such as the user's projects, products, and customers. The organization of user data is derived from the user's competencies and interactions with others and is used to build and index user profiles in a manner that facilitates retrieval in search results for relevant search criteria. A linguistic processing pipeline is used to parse and index the user's data to generate the complete and partial profiles organized by context. Complete and partial profiles are generated, indexed, ranked, and stored by the system.

In one embodiment, the user profiles of the users in the mobile aggregate profiling system are tailored based on aggregate profile data relevant to current locations of the users. More specifically, in order to tailor the user profile of a user, aggregate profile data is obtained for the current location of the user. The user profile of the user is then filtered based on the aggregate profile data for the current location of the user. In one embodiment, the user profile is filtered at a server of the mobile aggregate profiling system. In another embodiment, the user profile is filtered at a mobile device of the user prior to sending the user profile to a server of the mobile aggregate profiling system.

Consistent with an embodiment of the invention, one or more attributes associated with a social networking profile of a member of a social network are analyzed.
