Publication number: 20100100568Abstract: The invention is in the technological field of digital imaging. More specifically, the invention relates to a method for automatic prediction of words when entering the words of a text associated with an image (6). The object of the invention is a method whereby a terminal (1) connected to a keypad (2) and a display (3) is used for selecting an image (6) and providing automatic assistance by proposing words when inputting text associated with the content or context of the selected image. The invention method is mainly intended to be used to make it quicker and easier to input text associated with an image using a mobile electronic device, such as for example a mobile cellphone or phonecam.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 3, 2007Publication date: April 22, 2010Inventors: Christophe E. Publication number: 20100070360Abstract: Disclosed herein are systems, methods, and computer readable-media for creating a speech search platform for coupons. The method includes receiving coupons from vendors, generating indexing information about the received coupons for use with speech searches, integrating the received coupons and respective indexing information into a database accessible through a Representational State Transfer (REST) Application Programming Interface (API) as part of a speech search platform for coupons, receiving from a user a natural language query through the speech search platform for coupons, identifying coupons in the database which match the natural language query based on location and a user profile, and transmitting the identified coupons to the user. The method can further include modifying the REST API to include coupon-specific parameters. Identified coupons can be transmitted to the consumer by notifying a coupon issuer that the user is entitled to a discount.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 19, 2008Publication date: March 18, 2010Applicant: AT&T Intellectual Property I, L.P.Inventors: Mazin GILBERT, Jay Wilpon

Publication number: 20100070057Abstract: An embodiment of the present invention relates to a method, system, or program that automatically associates background music with an image slideshow. The embodiment can receive a selected image collection, extract metadata from the image collection, and associate audio files with the image collection based on the metadata. The embodiment will then prompt concurrent playing of the audio file while the image collection is displayed. The metadata identifies a theme for the image collection which can form the basis for associating the audio file with the image collection.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 12, 2008Publication date: March 18, 2010Applicants: Sony Corporation, Sony Electronics Inc.Inventor: Nobukazu L. Publication number: 20100058186Abstract: A reproducing apparatus includes a storage section, a judgment section, an analysis section, a classification section, an input section, and a reproduction section. The storage section stores a plurality of pieces of audio data. The judgment section judges, based on a length of each piece of audio data stored in the storage section, an analysis time interval for each piece of audio data. The analysis section analyzes the audio data in the analysis time interval judged by the judgment section. The classification section classifies the respective pieces of audio data into a plurality of predetermined classification items based on results of the analysis. The input section causes a user to select the classification item of the audio data to be reproduced. The reproduction section reproduces the audio data belonging to the classification item selected by the input section from a reproduction start point within the analysis time interval.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 14, 2009Publication date: March 4, 2010Applicant: Sony CorporationInventors: Motoyuki TAKAI, Shinya FUKUTA, Takashi KINOUCHI, Takeshi Ozawa, Akira INOUE, Shusuke TAKAHASHI, Manabu Uchino

Publication number: 20100030775Abstract: A method for non-text-based identification of a selected item of stored music. The first broad portion of the method focuses on building a music identification database. That process requires capturing a tag of the selected musical item, and processing the tag to develop reference key to the same. Then the tag is stored, together with the reference key and an association to the stored music. The database is built by collecting a multiplicity of tags. The second broad portion of the method is retrieving a desired item of stored music from the database. That process calls for capturing a query tag from a user, and processing the query tag to develop a query key to the same. The query tag is compared to reference keys stored in the database to identify the desired item of stored music.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 13, 2009Publication date: February 4, 2010Applicant: Melodis CorporationInventors: Keyvan Mohajer, Majid Emami, Michal Grabowski, James M. Publication number: 20090299823Abstract: An information processing system includes a terminal device and a server device. When recommending subsidiary contents, recommended contents are extracted at the server, and recommended content information is returned to the terminal device. At the terminal device, a recommendation order is set regarding the recommended contents which the recommended content information indicates, upon which the recommended contents are presented, such that recommended content extracting processing and recommendation order setting processing is dispersed among the server device and terminal device.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 2, 2009Publication date: December 3, 2009Applicant: Sony CorporationInventors: Hideo Nagasaka, Nobuyuki Fujiwara, Tadaaki Kimijima, Toshimasa Miyoshi, Mamoru Tokashiki, Takashi Tominaga, Shigeru Inoue, Yasushi Miyajima

Publication number: 20090276402Abstract: Real-time metadata tracks recorded to media streams allow search and analysis operations in a variety of contexts. Search queries can be performed using information in real-time metadata tracks such as closed captioning, sub-title, statistical tracks, miscellaneous data tracks. Media streams can also be augmented with additional tracks. The metadata tracks not only allow efficient searching and indexing, but also allow insertion of content specific advertising during appropriate portions of a media stream based on the content of the metadata tracks.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 28, 2008Publication date: November 5, 2009Applicant: MOBITV, INC.Inventor: Todd Stiers
