Abstract: An agricultural device for working a field, a receiving system configured to receive data from an agricultural device, a system for collecting and storing agricultural data, and a method for aggregating data from an agricultural device. The agricultural device includes—a tool for working the field, a data aggregation system configured to collect a plurality of measurements at a time (T), a data processing unit, operatively connected to the data aggregation system, a memory operatively connected to the data processing unit, and a communication module operatively connected to the data processing unit. The data processing unit is configured to process each measurement from the plurality of measurements from the data aggregation system.

Abstract: Techniques for recommending side-by-side plantings of pairs of seeds include a server computer receiving agricultural data records that represent crop seed data describing seed and yield properties of seeds and first data for agricultural fields where the seeds were planted. The server receives second data for available seeds and automatically calculates a dataset of success probability scores that describe the probability of a successful yield on the target fields. Data is organized as pairs to facilitate comparison of actual plantings to optimized plantings that have a probability of success (POS), in terms of yield lift or increased yield season-over-season, for different yield values. Confidence values are generated and stored in association with the POS values and can be used as a basis of visual output to support planting and/or field management decisions as part of an automated intelligent agricultural decision support system.

Abstract: A user of a graphical visualization program controls what data is selectable through the program interface. Data for display may be grouped and assigned an opacity value. The opacity value may correspond to the number of data points within an n-dimensional grouping, a particular type or other grouping parameter. Two or more data groupings may overlap within the interface. The visualization program may set a threshold selectability level, for example based on user input. The input may be received based on an selection threshold slide bar within a graphical portion of the display. When a user selects a data grouping at a point where two or more data groupings overlap, the data groupings that satisfy the threshold selection level may be selected. Data groupings that do not satisfy the threshold selection level will not be selectable.

Abstract: A novel method for graphically organizing and displaying multiple pages of internet content based on how the page was accessed. Pages are determined to be indirectly accessed if they were accessed via a hypertext link or a trail of hypertext links. Pages are determined to be directly accessed if accessed via other means, such as a bookmark or via Uniform Resource Locator (URL). Page groupings are created for each directly accessed page, and each indirectly accessed page is categorized into a grouping associated with a directly accessed page containing a link through which the indirectly accessed page was accessed. The web pages are presented to the user in an interface that is a graphical representation of the page groupings, wherein a user selects a page to view by first selecting the page's page grouping and then selecting the page.

Abstract: A method includes receiving a user inputted lower-level hierarchical filter key, processing filter key relational data to identify higher-level filter criteria keys associated with the user inputted lower-level hierarchical filter key, updating higher-level filter criteria to include the identified higher-level filter criteria keys, and generating a list of results according to the updated filter criteria. A computer program product and computer system corresponding to the method are also disclosed.

Abstract: A software application platform which provides a user with the ability to customize, via the selection of a single color, the color for one or more user interface elements, such as the skin color, included on a graphical user interface in which the selected color is optimized by the application in real time based upon the average pixel hue of all image pixels displayed on the graphical user interface at any given time, and is further dynamically applied and displayed as a skin color surrounding the image pixels on the graphical user interface is disclosed.

Abstract: In a system for dynamic switching and merging of head, gesture and touch input in virtual reality, a virtual object may be selected by a user in response to a first input implementing one of a number of different input modes. Once selected, with focus established on the first object by the first input, the first object may be manipulated in the virtual world in response to a second input implementing another of the different input modes. In response to a third input, another object may be selected, and focus may be shifted from the first object to the second object in response to a third input if, for example, a priority value of the third input is higher than a priority value of the first input that established focus on the first object. If the priority value of the third input is less than the priority value of the first input that established focus on the first object, focus may remain on the first object.

Abstract: A system and method for using content on multiple devices includes a head end associating a first user device and a second user device with a user account and authorizing the first user device and the second user device to receive content. The first user device forms a selection signal corresponding to a first content. The head end communicates the first content to the first user device corresponding to the selection signal. The first user device displays the first content on a first display associated therewith. The second user device receives the first content and displays the first content on a second display associated with the second user device.

Abstract: Systems and methods for managing electricity of an electrical supply grid electrically connected to a wind farm are disclosed. Some systems and methods may include identifying relationships among a plurality of turbines in the wind farm with a minimum spanning tree, calculating a power output relationship among the plurality of turbines with the minimum spanning tree, creating a finite state space Markov chain forecast model for the plurality of turbines in the wind farm, predicting a power output of the wind farm with the finite state space Markov chain forecast model, and modifying at least one of a generation of electricity and a distribution of electricity based on the predicted power output of the wind farm. Also disclosed are systems and methods for predicting the power output of a wind farm.

Abstract: A method for browsing in a virtual environment includes generating a plurality of tag data collections from multiple tag data sources. A plurality of virtual online browsing modes are presented using a computer having data storage. A browsing mode is selected by a user, wherein the browsing mode specified includes tag data and preference data. The tag data collection is analyzed for tag data associated with the browsing mode data. At least one specified tag collection from the plurality of tag collections is generated using the selected browsing mode. Associated tag data is determined from the specified tag collection and a user's tag data. A tag data group is generated from the tag data collection analysis using the tag sets, and a three-dimensional virtual environment is generated and presented on the computer using the tag data group, which may present the user with a plurality of goods and/or services.

Abstract: A computer user interface may be used to create and maintain semantic relationships between data objects on a computer system. Multiple sets of data objects identified by user selections, queries, searches, or other criteria may be presented in display panes on the user interface. Users may then select data objects via the user interface in order to view or create new relationships between the data objects. Based on the selection of the data objects and a determination of the associated data object types, a set of semantic relationships applicable to the selected data object or objects may be retrieved and displayed in the user interface. A user may subsequently select and create an appropriate semantic relationship between data objects, thereby not only establishing an association between the objects, but providing a specific and useful meaning to the association.

Abstract: Apparatuses for associating and displaying messages and contacts in a way that allows users to access either category of information is provided. One apparatus includes a processing element that associates the messages with corresponding contacts and also includes a memory element configured to store contacts and messages received or transmitted. The apparatus may also include a display such that the processing element may generate upon the display a visual representation of the contacts and messages. Messages are associated with corresponding contacts and are displayed according to the associations. For example, a message may be associated with a contact based on a common identifier of the contact and the message. Messages associated with a selected contact may be displayed, and contacts associated with messages that have been received or sent may also be displayed according to user inputs. Methods and computer program products are also provided.

Abstract: A digital media link embedding mechanism for generating one or more links for digital media objects embedded in network resources, such as HyperText Markup Language (HTML) or extensible markup language (XML) pages. Particular implementations of the invention allow network application hosting sites, such as blogging sites and social networking or media sites, to automatically insert revenue generating and/or informational links in proximity to digital media objects embedded by users into personal pages, blog entries, on-line forum posts, and the like. In one implementation, analysis to generate the media links focuses on data surrounding a given digitial content object to improve the relevance, or descriptiveness, of the links. Such media-related ad or search links may be more performant (relative to clickthru rates), since the concepts or keywords used to generate the ad and or search are extracted from data surrounding the digital content.

Abstract: A method to index locally recorded content at a media device includes extracting, at a remote service provider, event index data from an event being locally recorded at a media device and associating the event index data with locator code data of the event. The method further includes storing, at the remote service provider, the extracted event index data and the associated locator code data; searching the extracted event index data for a plurality of segments associated with the event, the search being associated with a search request; determining index display data for a presentation of the plurality of segments based on the search request; and transmitting, to the media device, the locator code data associated with the plurality of segments, and the index display data.

Abstract: A system and method for scrolling through a list of labels where the format in which labels are made manifest can be influenced by the current “search state” of the system. The current “search state” of the system can be influenced by a speed metric. The speed metric can be captured from the interactions between a user and a controller component for a device utilizing the system. In an embodiment of the system, search states are predefined in accordance to speed ranges that are associated with the search states such that a display component can provide a pluralilty of labels that are uniquely displayed over a multi-line display depending on display mode and scrolling speed.
