  • Patent number: 11539602
Abstract: Systems and methods discussed herein are directed to monitoring an application pod of a network using a sidecar container. The application pod comprises one or more containers and the sidecar container, where each of the one or more containers hosts a service for traffic of the network. The monitoring comprises periodically executing checks of a plurality of checks on the containers. The sidecar container, based at least in part on the checks, determines that a container is non-compliant. Based at least in part on the container being non-compliant, the container is removed from service. The container may be fixed and placed back in service or may be replaced with a new container that provides the service.

  • Patent number: 11533238
Abstract: An online system receives time series data and analyzes the data for identifying trend changes or level shifts in the time series. The time series data may describe resource utilization of systems, for example, bandwidth of computer networks. The online system uses prediction models, for example, machine learning based prediction models using regression to predict data values for the time series. The online system determines error residue values based on difference between predicted data values and actual data values of the time series. The online system determines level change in the error residue to identify change-points representing trend changes or level-shifts in the original time-series. The online system takes corrective action based on the change-point information and the trend following the occurrence of the change-point, for example, sending alerts or instructions for causing reconfiguration of the systems such as the computer network.

  • Patent number: 11531917
Abstract: Techniques are described for a time series probabilistic forecasting framework that combines recurrent neural networks (RNNs) with a flexible, nonparametric representation of the output distribution. The representation is based on the nonparametric quantile function (instead of, for example, a parametric density function) and is trained by minimizing a continuous ranked probability score (CRPS) derived from the quantile function. Unlike methods based on parametric probability density functions and maximum likelihood estimation, the techniques described herein can flexibly adapt to different output distributions without manual intervention. Furthermore, the nonparametric nature of the quantile function provides a significant boost in the approach's robustness, making it more readily applicable to a wide variety of time series datasets.

Abstract: A method and device manager for controlling program components in a network device, wherein the network device is used for handling data traffic in a communication network. First, the device manager identifies, out of a set of predefined policies, a policy comprising rules which determine how the network device should operate when handling data traffic. Then, program components required to fulfil the identified policy are identified and existing program components present in the network device are determined. The device manager further pushes any of the required program components being absent in said existing program components, to the network device. Thereby, any network device(s) can be configured and/or upgraded automatically according to appropriate predefined policies, requiring a minimum of manual work. The predefined policies can also easily be modified or extended to deploy new and/or upgraded functions.

  • Patent number: 11520518
Abstract: A current technique to enforce a Zoning configuration is referred to as “Hard Zoning”. Hard Zoning is a technique in which network switches in a fabric inspect packets to ascertain if a packet should be forwarded or discarded, according to the communication between nodes allowed by the Zoning configuration. For the network switches to be able to perform this packet-by-packet filtering, Zoning information needs to be supplied to the network switches. However, current approaches involve sending duplicate data to switches. These approaches are very inefficient and cumbersome. Accordingly, embodiments comprise a Centralized Discovery Controller (CDC) that collects network information, generates, for a switch, its appropriate zoning information, and sends the switch-specific zoning information to that switch.

  • Patent number: 11503067
Abstract: Systems and methods are described for using secured groups for simulated phishing campaigns to obfuscate data for levels of privacy based on protected criteria classes. Initially, a group to resolve members of the group based on multiple users matching one or more group criteria is established. It is then determined that at least one criteria of the one or more criteria has been configured as one of multiple protected criteria classes. Responsive to the determination, the group is identified as a secured group. A query of the group is then executed to identify one or more users of the multiple users as members of the group based on the users matching the criteria of the secured group at the time of execution of the group and information of the one or more users resulting from the execution of the secured group is obfuscated in accordance with the protected criteria class.

  • Patent number: 11502911
Abstract: A network device is provisioned with a first data model of a first type and that models first properties for the network device, a second data model of a second type and that models second properties for the network device, and mappings that indicate mapped first properties among the first properties that are mapped to mapped second properties of the second properties. Upon receiving a request from a network for data for the first data model, the network device retrieves first data for the first properties of the first data model. The network device determines, based on the mappings, unmapped second properties of the second properties that are not mapped to any of the first properties. The network device retrieves, as dynamically augmented data, data for the unmapped second properties. The network device sends a request response including the first data and the dynamically augmented data.

  • Patent number: 11503127
Abstract: Techniques for performing prefetching for a ranking service in a microservice architecture are provided. In one technique, in response to receiving a content request, an entity identifier of an entity associated with the content request is determined, a host of a second service that is different than the first service is determined. The first service sends the entity identifier to the host of the second service. The second service retrieves entity feature data that is associated with the entity identifier. The first service identifies a set of content delivery campaigns, identifies the host of the second service, and sends the identity of the set of content delivery campaigns to the host of the second service. The host of the second service determines a ranking of the set of content delivery campaigns, a subset thereof is selected, and data about each selected campaign is transmitted over a computer network.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a device receives application experience metrics for a software-as-a-service application. The device generates, based on the application experience metrics, a predictive model that predicts application experience scores for a plurality of network service providers that provide connectivity to the software-as-a-service application. The device selects a particular network service provider for use by a location, based on an application experience score predicted by the predictive model. The device sends an indication of the particular network service provider to the location.
