The graphics provider terminal packs the graphics information to obtain a message packet based on a preset graphics sharing agreement; and sends the message packet to a graphics exchange server through a persistent connection between the graphics provider terminal and the graphics exchange server. The graphics exchange server unpacks the message packet to obtain the graphics information and sends the graphics information to a graphics receiver terminal through a persistent connection between the graphics receiver terminal and the graphics exchange server.

A new version of the documentation may be generated. The documentation source including placeholders is read. Placeholders in the documentation are used to generate a user interface view. The user interface view is captured as a screenshot. The screenshot is inserted in the new version of the documentation at the location of the placeholder used to generate the screenshot.

Abstract: The functionality of a browser application is enhanced using a browser plug-in, which enables the browser application to access portions of a file system not otherwise accessible to the browser application. The enhanced functionality provided by the browser plug-in is used in one example by an image uploading web application. The browser application may also start a task in the background, such as a task for uploading several images, and then monitor the progress of the task even when the browser application navigates away from the page that initiated the task. The browser application may use a local web server running on the client device to perform tasks, including the rendering of images and monitoring progress of long running tasks.

When the DOM representation is modified, changes to the DOM representation may also be transmitted to the participant computers, rendered, and displayed. Events occurring with respect to the DOM may also be synchronized between the host and participant computers.

Abstract: Embodiments of the disclosure relate to generating a translatable and annotated multimedia or video presentation of a software program operation. An aspect of the disclosure comprises recording user interaction data that includes user interface gestures and text entries from a keyboard and other user devices while the program is operating. Embodiments of the disclosure transform recorded text and visual contents of the program to a selected format or language, annotate contents of interest, and merge recorded user interface gestures, transformed text and visual contents, and transformed annotations into the output presentation. The embodiments of the disclosure optionally generate an accessibility script in a selected format.

Abstract: An interactive multimedia presentation has a predetermined presentation play duration, a video content component (which may include video, audio, data, or any combination thereof), and an interactive content component. Methods and systems for playing the presentation include specifying a time when a particular media object is renderable. The time is specifiable using an application instruction that references either a first timing signal having a rate that is based on the play speed of the presentation, or a second timing signal having a continuous rate. One example of an application instruction usable as described above is an element associated with an XML data structure. An attribute of the element, such as the clock attribute, may be used to provide time values for the element that reference either timing signal. The attribute is used to maintain frame-accurate synchronization between the video and the interactive content components of the presentation.

Abstract: Common metadata exposure with digital images involves making image metadata types that are common across multiple image file formats accessible via an application programming interface (API). In an example embodiment, a browser exposes an image metadata API that may be called with reference to a preselected image metadata name. The browser determines an image metadata value that is associated with the preselected image metadata name from image metadata of a targeted image. When the image metadata value is returned to a caller of the image metadata API, the caller may consume or present the image metadata value in any manner.

Abstract: In setting, by using a format, a non-display region in image data obtained by an image reading unit, a format location information input unit writes in the image data, an image representing information on access to a format storage unit in an external apparatus where a format to be used has been stored. In displaying the image data, a format location information extraction unit extracts the format location information by extracting the image from the image data. A format obtaining unit obtains the format by accessing the format storage unit based on the information. Abstract: A method for providing network synchronization with a unified messaging system is provided. The method includes receiving and storing message data, such as voice data, for a specified recipient. An enhanced e-mail message is generated for the recipient. The message, which is in hypertext mark-up language (HTML) format, includes the message data and a synchronization link that points to a web server. The message is sent to the recipient through an e-mail server corresponding to an e-mail client associated with the recipient. When the client downloads the message from the server and renders the HTML, the synchronization link is fetched. As a result, the web server receives a hypertext transfer protocol (HTTP) request from the client based on the message and provides network synchronization based on that HTTP request.

Abstract: A method for collecting transcripts each storing an order in which portions of an application file were accessed by the file when the file was executed on one of a plurality of computing devices. The method includes receiving requests to download the file from directing processes each executing on a different one of the computing devices, and in response to those requests, downloading the file to the computing devices and instructing the directing processes to profile usage of the file. Then, transcripts created by the directing processes are received therefrom. A streaming model may be created based on the transcripts received. The file may be divided into a plurality of smaller files based on the streaming model. Many times graphical objects are displayed on ambient displays where users of the ambient display will create annotations to the graphical object to provide further comments, meaning, and/or context. Annotations on the ambient display may be recorded for later review. An effective way to present recorded annotations is through a hierarchical system that provides context to the annotations. Annotations may be defined as sets of annotations based upon a logical grouping (e.g. spatial density, temporal density, etc.). These sets can be displayed to users as annotation branches. This process of changing multimedia continues with the user's reviewing of additional select text segments. Select multimedia is modified instead of completely replaced as the user advances to an additional select text segment, leading to uniquely flowing presentations. Multimedia is visually modified through zooming, panning, resizing, highlighting, and/or other approaches. Select embodiments include similarly modified holographic imagery, advertisements, securities charts, and shifted text. In select embodiments, the user's reading speed adjusts visual modifications.

Abstract: A system and method for loading and playing multimedia information are disclosed. A navigator sends a series of play orders that each play order demands for playing a corresponding multimedia segment. A playing engine demands a loader to provide the corresponding multimedia segment according to related play order. A decoder is used to decode the provided multimedia segment for playback. Each play order may be delivered even the multimedia segment corresponding to its previous play order has not been played completely yet. The information discontinuity disadvantage can be eliminated since there is a smooth multimedia information stream provided for the decoder.

Furthermore, one or more selectable video thumbnails can also be displayed. A drag and drop input is received from a user in order to place on the playlist pane a selected video thumbnail from the one or more selectable video thumbnails. The video content corresponding to the selected video thumbnail is added in real-time to the video playlist while simultaneously continuing to play the video clip on the video display area.

Abstract: A synchronization process between captioning data and/or corresponding metatags and the associated media file parses the media file, correlates the caption information and/or metatags with segments of the media file, and provides a capability for textual search and selection of particular segments. A time-synchronized version of the captions is created that is synchronized to the moment that the speech is uttered in the recorded media. The caption data is leveraged to enable search engines to index not merely the title of a video, but the entirety of what was said during the video as well as any associated metatags relating to contents of the video. Further, because the entire media file is indexed, a search can request a particular scene or occurrence within the event recorded by the media file, and the exact moment within the media relevant to the search can be accessed and played for the requester.

Abstract: A system for and method of enhancing web page delivery and visitor tracking. The invention provides the ability to control redirection of Web traffic of humans. It can identify visitors to a Web page, track their movements, log critical information, and analyze the Web traffic in order to judge the success in driving quality traffic to some known goal on a Web site, such as a sale. The system tracks visitors via use of redirection with an image tag. The invention can also use unique image marker references to prevent browsers from accessing cached images.

Abstract: A system and method for analyzing time for a slide presentation that permits a speaker to coordinate available time with the number of slides to be shown and a method of operating the same is described.
