The electronic document is associated with an approval data structure including entries that correspond to approval requests. A portion of an approval data structure is included within the content of the electronic document for presentation to a first user. A first user updates a first entry of the portion of the approval data structure included within the content of the electronic is detected. The update to the first entry corresponds to a first approval request for a second user to approve a portion of the electronic document. A first notification is transmitted to a second client device associated with the second user. The first notification indicates the first approval request. The approval data structure is updated to include data of the first entry.

Abstract: Described herein are systems and methods for extracting and combining XML files of an XFA document. The systems include processors and memory for efficient processing and data storage. The systems can identify XFA documents and generate XML files by parsing the XFA documents. The systems can identify XML nodes within XML files, with each node corresponding to a particular node type, and generate web forms including web nodes, with each web node mapped to a corresponding XML node. The systems can receive input corresponding to the respective node type and store an association between the input received for the web node and the node type and an identifier of an XML node to which the web node is mapped. The systems can update the XML files using the association and generate the populated XFA document by combining the updated XML files according to the schema of the XFA document.

Abstract: Methods and systems are provided that leverage existing information displayed or presented to a user by an app without requiring the integration of new libraries or requiring a user to use a specific app. Rather, methods and systems presented herein identify a task, select an app or multiple apps capable of performing the task, obtain information that may be required by the app or apps, determine a contextual understanding of what is displayed by the selected app or apps, and finally generate and automate the interaction with the app or apps such that the interaction with the app or apps is handled by an automation agent, allowing a user to stay focused on one or more tasks that the user needs to accomplish.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method of generating and processing electronic forms may include: generating and storing a plurality of prompts; receiving a first form request from a first user device; generating a first form including a first set of prompt instances; causing the first form to be displayed on the first user device; receiving a first set of user inputs, each of the first set of user inputs being associated with one or more of the first set of prompt instances; and storing the first set of prompt instances and the first set of user inputs while maintaining the plurality of prompts.

Abstract: An on-image navigation guide can be generated utilizing coordinates of table data of a table in a document image. The on-image navigation guide enables a user to populate a data entry form with the table data by interacting directly with the document image. The data entry form is configured with the same number of columns as the table and the document image and the data entry form share the same data structure. The on-image navigation guide is presented on top of the document image. As a user navigates the document image, a focus point of the on-image navigation guide moves from table cell to table cell, providing an immediate visual feedback on what is captured in a corresponding data entry field. The on-image navigation guide includes an on-image context menu and a pin through which the user can make adjustments and/or corrections without leaving the document image.

Abstract: A method for authorizing operation permissions of form-field values is disclosed in the present invention, including a step of authorizing operation permissions of form-field values and a step of selecting a grantee; the step of authorizing operation permissions of form-field values includes: S1: selecting a form to be authorized, and displaying fields in the form that need operation permission control; and S2: authorizing the operation permissions to each value of the fields respectively, where the grantee is one or more roles, the role is an independent individual rather than a group or class, one role can only be related to a unique user during the same period, and one user is related to one or more roles. The present invention can achieve respective authorization for the operation permissions of form-field values, and improves the fineness of system management. In this method, multiple authorized roles can be selected at the same time to batch authorization, thus improving the authorization efficiency.

Abstract: A server includes a memory and a processor to receive from a client device a screenshot of an application page from an application. The application page includes a form requiring data to be filled in by a user of the client device. A form template is extracted from the screenshot, with the extracted form template not including form field values. The extracted form template is compared to a private form template database for a match. The private form template database includes private form templates from different applications, with each private form template having form field values previously filled in for the user. Form field values from a matched private form template are provided to the client device for the client device to populate the form in the screenshot.

Abstract: In some implementations, a system dynamically adjusts an electronic form of an application based on user data and form data specified for the electronic form. Form data that specifies characteristics of the electronic form is initially received by a computing device. The form data specifies one or more rules configured to vary the content of the electronic form that is presented for different users. User data indicating characteristics of a user is then obtained by the computing device. An interactive element is then selected from among a set of multiple interactive elements based on the received user data and the rules in the received form data. A view of the electronic form is customized for the user by including, in the customized view, the interactive element. The view of the customized electronic form is then displayed by the computing device.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method for performing a data quality function includes receiving, at a data quality function process, at least one record from a source, where the record includes data, semantic annotations and data quality annotations associated with the data in the record. The semantic annotations are attributes that define the data including input format and output format and the data quality annotations are attributes that define data quality rules to be applied to the data. The data quality function process automatically maps the semantic annotations to data quality input fields and to data quality output fields. The data quality function process applies the data quality rules to the data using the data quality annotations to perform a data quality function. The data quality function process performs the data quality function on the data and outputs the data to a destination in a format defined by the data quality output fields.

Abstract: According to certain implementations, a data-entry system synchronizes a region of an image with a data-entry field. For example, a data-entry interface may include data-entry fields. The data-entry interface may be updated to display an image of a document, such as a scanned handwritten form. The document image may include regions that are associated with respective data-entry fields. The data-entry system may detect a selection of a target data-entry field. Based on the detected selection, the data-entry system may determine an associated region of the document image. The associated region may correspond to the target data-entry field. The data-entry system may modify the displayed document image, and the modification may include a visual enhancement of the associated region. In some cases, the data-entry system determines the associated region corresponding to the target data-entry field based on metadata.

Abstract: A system for constructing a patient assessment user interface. The system comprises at least one processor, a data store, wherein the data store stores an assessment template in a format comprising a plurality of human readable attribute-value pairs, wherein the assessment template identifies the format of an assessment, a memory, and an assessment component stored in the memory. When executed by the at least one processor, the assessment component receives a request for an assessment form from a patient care giver tool user interface (UI), creates an assessment form based on the assessment template, transmits the assessment form to the patient care giver tool UI, receives assessment input from the patient care giver tool UI, and stores the assessment input along with associated portions of the assessment template in the format comprising a plurality of human readable attribute-value pairs in a column of a table in the data store.

The method involves retrieving form definition data for a requested form from a database. One or more overrides are optionally applied to the form definition data to modify properties of form elements. Form instance data for the modified form is generated and stored for reuse. The form instance data is transmitted to a rendering module at a client device for generation of a user interface form based on the form instance data.

Abstract: In an embodiment, a first level of confidence corresponding to a first data set presented in a pre-populated form is computed. A visualization suggesting a need for user review in association with the first data set is displayed when the first level of confidence is determined to not meet a first threshold value. In addition, a second level of confidence corresponding to a second data set presented in the pre-populated form is computed. No visualization is presented when the second level of confidence is determined to meet the second threshold value. In an embodiment, an impact associated with an academic course modification is determined and identified according to a user selection from a displayed set of scheduled courses. The impact may include a financial impact, a graduation timeline impact, or a workload impact associated with the modification.

Abstract: Media, method and system for creating software capable of performing the steps necessary to prepare a complex form, and more particularly to the use of annotations to specify dependency information for the fields of the form. Embodiments of the invention break down the logic of complex forms into the much simpler logic of individual form fields, greatly simplifying the implementation of the overall logic by allowing individual fields to be worked on independently, with clear delineation of structure and function between them. Embodiments of the invention further allow a user to specify the immediate precursors for a field, and then automatically determine a global calculation order for all fields that ensures that all of the precursor fields for each field being calculated have been previously calculated before that field is calculated.

Abstract: A method, system and computer-usable medium for classifying a source document using sub-documents identified in the source document. The method, system, and computer-usable medium are used to access the source document from electronic memory. The source document is electronically searched to detect markers indicative of whether the source document includes one or more sub-documents. Incongruities in the source document are located using the detected markers and the source document is split into sub-documents at the located incongruities. Each of the sub-documents is classified. The sub-documents are joined as a re-assembled source document with classifications including classifications for one or more of the sub-documents.

Abstract: Provided is an apparatus for communication between a webpage and an operating system. The apparatus includes memory storing a first software for an operating system and a second software for a web browser. The apparatus also includes processing circuitry that executes the first software to provide the operating system including a clipboard and executes the second software to cause the web browser to access a web page. Further, a software (the first software or the second software) executed by the processing circuitry detects a message that is buffered in a clipboard provided by the operating system, and determines whether the message is in a preset format that is indicative of the software executed by the processing circuitry being a destination of the message. The software executed by the processing circuitry then processes the message when the message is in the preset format.

A virtual transaction form including editable input fields visually organized in an initial format is displayed. In response to a request for a simplified version of the virtual transaction form, the form simplification server generates a simplified virtual transaction form including editable input fields that correspond to the editable input fields of the virtual transaction form. The editable fields of the simplified virtual transaction form are visually organized in a format different from the initial format of the virtual transaction form. The simplified virtual transaction form is displayed. The form simplification server may also receive a user-specified data element input into one of the editable input fields of the virtual transaction form. The corresponding editable input field of the simplified virtual transaction form can be populated with the user-specified data element.

Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for the automated templating of electronic forms. The templates can include user input fields corresponding to user input elements of the electronic form. The attributes of the user input field can be determined based on contextual data proximate to the user input element, such as the surrounding text. The templates can be used in various collaborative environments and electronic workflows.

Abstract: A PDF to Web form converter operates to establish an image of an uploaded PDF form as an HTML background image of a new Web page. The converter additionally operates to query the uploaded PDF form to determine the name and type of user-interactive fields present in the PDF form, as well as to determine the size and placement of the user-interactive fields. The converter then converts the PDF user-interactive fields to HTML fields having the same type and name, and having a size and pixel location that corresponds to the PDF field. The HTML user-interactive fields are placed atop the HTML background image to present to the user a two layer Web form (e.g., layer one: background, layer two: user-interactive fields) that appears substantially identical to the PDF form.

Abstract: An electronic document system, for example, includes a network portal that connects to end user devices via a network and generates graphical user interfaces on the end user devices. A database server stores data extracted by data capture entities (DCEs) associated with submitted electronic documents and approval routes for each DCE. An approval route includes steps identifying users and approval actions to be performed by the users. An application server determines an approval route from the stored approval routes for each submitted electronic document, and generates notifications for the users on the approval routes to execute the approval actions, and generates a visual representation of the approval routes in status pages via the network portal. Visual representations in the status pages are updated in real-time to indicate status information for the submitted electronic documents as the submitted electronic documents traverse respective approval routes.

At least one inmate communication from an inmate is automatically converted into an inmate digital communication for communication to at least one remote device. The at least one inmate communication is received at the communication processing system from a correctional facility. The at least one digital file is automatically converted into the inmate digital communication according to at least one sending template. The at least one sending template is based, at least in part, on at least one formatting requirement of at least one of: the at least one remote device, and a service provider of the at least one remote device. The inmate digital communication is electronically communicated to the at least one remote device.

Abstract: A system and method for creating and managing electronic forms is described. The system includes a processor configured to receive an image of a form and receive, via a network interface, form template information specifying at least a first input field. The form template information includes a first input field type selection and first field location information for the first input field. The first input field type is selected from a plurality of input field types and the first field location information is defined relative to the image. The processor stores the form template information within a memory. The electronic form is configured to be rendered by superimposing a representation of the first input field over the image of the form.

Abstract: A bipartite application implements a table auto-completion (TAC) algorithm on the client side and the server side. A client module runs a local model of the TAC algorithm on a user device and a server module runs a global model of the TAC algorithm on a server machine. The local model is continuously adapted through on-the-fly training, with as few as a negative example, to perform TAC on the client side, one document at a time. Knowledge thus learned by the local model is used to improve the global model on the server side. The global model can be utilized to automatically and intelligently extract table information from a large number of documents with significantly improved accuracy, requiring minimal human intervention even on complex tables.

Abstract: A system is disclosed for automation-assisted curation of technical information from technical support tickets into a technical information knowledge base. In one example, a method includes mapping information from a plurality of fields of a support ticket in a technical support reporting tool to a plurality of corresponding fields of a structured information file. The method further includes rendering the structured information file in a user-editable format in a user interface; saving user inputs to the structured information file, thereby generating a curated structured information file that incorporates the mapped information and the user inputs; and saving the curated structured information file to a searchable technical support information data store.

Abstract: An improved system architecture for making spectrum information available to one or more devices and for providing and using the spectrum information at a device. The improved architecture employs an arrangement of software processes that interact to provide a flexible and highly-configurable technique for controlling access to spectrum information. To that end, a spectrum information server executes a server process having a library of spectrum-related functions including, for example, functions for retrieving spectrum data from spectrum data sources and/or for processing retrieved spectrum data. The spectrum information server also executes one or more device host processes configured to communicate with at least one compatible device process executing on a spectrum-aware (SA) device. In an illustrative embodiment, a device process on the SA device may request spectrum information from a device host process on the spectrum information server.

Abstract: According to at least one aspect, a method for providing content items augmented with format elements includes receiving a request for a content item and generating a plurality of augmented content items based on a plurality of original content items and a plurality of format elements. In a first stage a first content item associated with a first original content item is selected based on normalized auction scores of the content items. In a second stage, a set of content items associated with the first original content item is identified. Selection scores for the content items in the identified set are computed based on respective normalization parameters. A second content item is selected from the identified set based on the selection scores and a bid amount. The second content item is then provided for display to a user.

Abstract: Systems, methods and apparatus are provided for generating electronic transactional documents using a form generating system. The electronic transactional document may be created using a design tool that allows a user to place data entry fields over an image or snap shot of a transactional document. Rules, default values, and attributes associated with the date entry fields may be established as the electronic transactional document is being created.

Abstract: A system, method, and computer program product are provided for updating a bill. In use, a replica of a bill is displayed. In addition, a selection of al least one parameter of the bill is received. In response to the selection, a user (e.g. a customer representative, etc.) is permitted to enter an updated value for the parameter. Further, the parameter of the bill is updated in the consequent billing cycle to reflect the updated value.

Specifically, a method is provided including subscribing with a server to send and receive information or data regarding a social incident, interest, and/or service of interest to a beneficiary. The method further includes defining a template for a report on the server to capture the information or data. The method further includes viewing and/or retrieving the report submitted by a user (via a client) of the general public that perceived the social incident, interest, and/or service of interest to the beneficiary. The defining the template comprises defining at least one information component that the beneficiary may be interested in receiving from the user regarding the social incident, interest, and/or service, and associating the defined template to the beneficiary.

The method may receive an external contract document in electronic form, wherein the external contract document comprises a plurality of text portions relating to a plurality of contract component types, respectively. The method may access a knowledge base describing a plurality of text patterns that identify with the plurality of the contract component types, respectively. Moreover, the method may process the external contract document utilizing the knowledge base to automatically identify the plurality of the contract component types for the plurality of the text portions in the contract document, respectively.

Abstract: A computer-implemented system may include reception of a user interface package at a client device, the user interface package including layout information and a data model, the layout information conforming to a user interface model of a backend service provider and the data model conforming to a business object model of the backend service provider. The layout is rendered at the client device based on the user interface model, data input to the rendered layout at the client device is received, the data is stored at the client device in conformance with the business object model, and the data is transmitted from the client device to the backend service provider.

Abstract: There is provided a form processing system including a form creation device and a printer, wherein the form creation device includes a layout generation unit that generates layout information denoting a layout of a form, a drawing instruction unit that causes a drawing performing unit in the printer to generate referential image data which corresponds to at least part of the generated layout information, based on the generated layout information, and an image transmission unit that transmits the generated referential image data to an OCR device, and the printer includes the drawing performing unit that generates the referential image data in accordance with an instruction from the drawing instruction unit.

Abstract: The present invention is a system to develop mobile applications from a mobile device that includes a database with a memory, a hosting space, an app-creation application with a plurality of options stored on a mobile application repository on said memory over a communications network or within the mobile device. A client device downloads and installs the app-creation application from the mobile applications repository over a communications network to create said mobile applications. There are four methods for mobile application development created by the mobile device that utilize this system.

The user-generated input based on formatting criteria. The formatting criteria provides N formatting types to be applied to the user-generated input, where N is at least two. An underlay field is provided for each of N?1 formatting types. One of the formatting types is applied to each of the N?1 underlay fields and the input field. The N?1 underlay fields are aligned with and the input field. Portions of the user-generated input are displayed within the corresponding fields while maintaining spacing of the user-generated input.

Abstract: A method for creating a field for a database object in a database system includes displaying, via a user interface, a page associated with the database object, and receiving via the user interface, a request to create a field for the database object. A plurality of field creation options for the database object are displayed, and a selection of at least one of the plurality of field creation options is received. The field for the database object in the database system is created based on the selection. A modified page including the field for the database object is then displayed via the user interface.

A data grid that shows the form field definitions for each of the form fields in the form is rendered for display. User input relative to the data grid is obtained, and the user input indicates a requested change to several of the form fields. The requested change to the plurality of the form fields is implemented in the electronic document in response to the user input.

Abstract: The Syndicated Web Services Client (SWSC) uses RSS/ATOM feeds, to facilitate asynchronous interactions between a computerized client and a web service, without requiring a duplicate copy of the web service application on the computerized client. Each user terminal generates title data to send to the server device when the title name is inputted, the server counts a number of users who create the title data for each title name based on the title data group to generate title compilation data indicating a relationship between the title name and a number of creating users. Further, a high-order title screen data is generated and sent to the user terminal when the server device obtains the high-order title reference request and the high-order title screen data is displayed on a screen in the user terminal.
