Abstract: A system and method for determining which program to display from multiple content sources at a power-on event of a content display device at a certain location is disclosed. In one embodiment, the method includes receiving metadata containing content information about multiple programming available from multiple content sources on an integrated network. The content information can be analyzed so as to determine if any of the programming satisfies rules pertaining to programming appropriate for the location of the display device within a home. The content information can be analyzed in advance such that when a power-on command is received at the content display device, a program that has been determined to satisfy the rules is displayed on the display device.

Abstract: A system and a method are disclosed for visually displaying data points using stacked bar charts on a display screen with limited display area. A magnification region allows presentation of detailed information for a stacked bar compared to other stacked bars displayed. A stacked bar within a magnification region can be further magnified to display additional information for individual bars within the stacked bar. An individual bar is expanded to a height suitable for displaying information associated with the bar. The stacked bar chart can be moved relative to the magnification region thereby changing the stacked bar displayed within the magnification region.

Abstract: Processing documents by highlighting a portion of a document displayed on a computer display, where the portion is highlighted when a cursor is in a predefined location of the display relative to the location of the portion of the document, where the portion is identified as a candidate for selection for a post-selection operation prior to the cursor being in the predefined location of the display, and where the highlighting is done independent of any input received via a computer input device to indicate the extents of the portion, and recording a selection of the portion when an input that is predefined to indicate a selection action is received in association with the portion via a computer input device.

Abstract: Systems and methods for integrated management and scheduling of events associated with both physical and digital mail are provided. A print stream processor utilizes recipient preferences to determine that a mail piece should be delivered by physical mail. The server then processes the mail piece print stream to extract time sensitive data such as a payment amount and due date. The server utilizes the identity of the physical mail piece recipient and the time sensitive data to provide a scheduling message to the recipient. Here, the scheduling message includes injecting a calendar entry to a centralized mail management system having an account for the recipient. Additionally, reminder messages are provided to the recipient based upon recipient and/or sender preferences. Similarly, entries relating to physical coupons or other offers sent to the recipient are placed on the recipient's calendar including offer deadline entries.

Abstract: A display information verification method, when display data of financial data is generated from the financial data and scripts for the financial data, includes: searching the scripts for an arithmetic instruction to process a numeric value in the financial data or a conversion instruction to convert a character string included in the financial data; and judging whether or not the arithmetic instruction or the conversion instruction detected in the searching is an instruction considered to manipulate the financial data. Thus, it is possible to detect the instruction considered to manipulate data from the scripts, and to avoid display including the manipulation of the data. In addition, for example, by using information of the instruction, which is stored inside in advance and is allowed to be used, it is possible to detect only the arithmetic instruction or the conversion instruction, which is not allowed to be used.

In general location-based, context-aware content can be displayed on tickers associated with a variety of communication devices, including mobile communication devices and “immobile” or stationary personal computers.

It also reduces the incidence of rivers and therefore enhances the aesthetic quality of the formatted text. The contents opted for display within a tokenized view may be prioritized according to a system of landmark values. The view is modified by user input using an explicit data structure of nodes and states within the device controlling the display, or by structuring in another system the underlying logic of the arrangement of code that is acted upon by a web browser.

A full screen editing mode provides a full page editing environment that, upon demand, reveals selectable controls that are relevant to editing or authoring a document to provide a simplified, non-distracting writing environment.

Abstract: Described herein are processes and devices that determine a high contrast setting on a client. One of the devices described is a high contrast mode detector. The high contrast mode detector creates an object in a web document and assigns a pre-determined value to a displayable property of the object. The predetermined value is different than a high contrast value that the client would use to display the web document object if a high contrast setting is enabled. The high contrast mode detector associates the object with the web document. The client generates a computed value used to display the object. If high contrast mode is enabled, the client applies the high contrast value as the computed value, otherwise the client applies the pre-determined value. The high contrast mode detector compares the pre-determined value to the computed value and detects the high contrast setting based on the comparison result.

Abstract: A method, system and computer program product for sharing the contents of a presentation in a web conference. A web conference server in a web conferencing system extracts a document that is likely to be viewed by the presenter during the web conference prior to the presenter actually viewing the document. The web conference server processes the extracted document into a displayable screen image which is sent to the participant computers in the web conference to be cached. When the presenter computer actually displays the extracted document, the web conference server informs the participant computers to display the cached screen image. Since the screen image of the document has already been cached by the participant computers, the document will be more quickly viewed by the participant computers and will reduce the time lag between when the presenter views the document and when the audience views the same content.

Abstract: Disclosed are embodiments of a color management system and an associated method that display a visual representation of a digital version of a document and further annotate selected object(s) in the visual representation with corresponding statement(s) containing a natural language description of any color differences between the selected object and the same object in a different digital version of the same document. For example, a visual representation of the print-preview version of a document can be displayed and a selected object within the visual representation can be annotated with a statement containing a natural language description of any color differences between the selected object and the same object in the selected-for-print-preview version of the document. By annotating selected object(s) on the display in this manner, the embodiments provide an accurate indication of color variations between the two versions even in a non-calibrated and/or non-optimal viewing environment.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for direct printing of multiple views of 3-D objects in a PDF file is described. When a PDF file containing 3-D object data is sent to a printer, without using an application or print driver, the controller of a printer generates and prints a plurality of views of the 3-D object based on pre-defined viewing angle settings. The printer controller opens the PDF file, converts the 3-D PDF data to PS data based on the viewing angle, performs raster image processing, prints the bitmap images corresponding to the viewing angle, and repeats the process for all viewing angles. The plurality of views may be printed on separate pages, or on one page in an N-in-1 format. More generally, the method applies to direct printing of files containing objects that are capable of providing multiple appearances, where multiple or desired appearances of the objects are automatically printed.

Abstract: A document processing system for accurately and efficiently analyzing documents and methods for making and using same. Each incoming document includes at least one section of textual content and is provided in an electronic form or as a paper-based document that is converted into an electronic form. Since many categories of documents, such as legal and accounting documents, often include one or more common text sections with similar textual content, the document processing system compares the documents to identify and classify the common text sections. The document comparison can be further enhanced by dividing the document into document segments and comparing the document segments; whereas, the conversion of paper-based documents likewise can be improved by comparing the resultant electronic document with a library of standard phrases, sentences, and paragraphs. The document processing system thereby enables an image of the document to be manipulated, as desired, to facilitate its review.

The virtual repository items are generated for presentation along with their actual repository items. The computer system maps the virtual repository items to different virtualized sets of repository items according to the user-defined presentation scheme. The virtualized sets comprise at least one of actual repository items and virtual repository items. The computer system presents the virtualized sets of repository items in one or more different perspectives within the user-defined presentation scheme.

An electronic contract disclosure unit or ECDU includes a digitizing display that includes a video display for imaging to participants the various documents involved in the transaction and a digitizer for allowing participants to sign, indicate choices, and otherwise interact directly on documents and images presented on the display. A computer controls the progress of the transaction, controlling, for example, the order of presentation of documents to a vehicle purchaser, receiving signatures on the displayed documents, offering choices of various packages to the purchaser, and insuring that the transaction is carried out properly. The transaction is logged for future review which may include a video record.

The integration application retrieves at least one of a document and a list of documents associated with the first collected application data for display on a user interface and monitors the collected application data from the mapped location for a difference with a subsequently collected application data. Upon detecting a difference, the integration application removes at least one of a document and the list of documents from the user interface. The integration application may automatically notify a user of the difference using a visual indicator or an audio signal. The user can further output the digital photos that are edited and saved. Therefore, the invention enables its user to create a desired page format and digital photos.

The method includes the steps of inputting a title, selecting the type of invention, entering the graphic interface, inputting the name and function of each element to form an output data section, inputting the data having multiple sets of text areas, cooperating the input data having multiple sets of text areas with individual output data section, combining, trans-pasting and composing the corresponding input description to form multiple sets of output data sections.
