Abstract: Systems and methods are provided herein for enabling a first user to set up an alert that will notify the first user when the first user has caught up to a second user's progress in consuming media. These systems and methods are used to ensure that the first user is informed, while they are consuming media, that they have caught up to the progress of a second user. By providing an alert while the first user is viewing media, the first user does not have to remember the progress of the second user while viewing the media, alleviating the first user from worrying they will pass the progress made by the second user without realizing they have done so.

Abstract: A video library interface provides a listing of interactive videos and information associated with the videos and is dynamically updated as a user views the videos and makes decisions that affect the playback of the episodes. More specifically, an interactive video that includes different traversable video paths is provided to and interacted with by a user. Based on user interactions received during presentation of the video, different video paths within the interactive video are traversed. In addition, a video library display including a visual depiction of information associated with a plurality of videos is provided. The video library display is dynamically modified based on one or more interactions made by the user with respect to the interactive video.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method and electronic device for processing data. The electronic device can execute the method that can include: acquiring an interactive message, the interactive message being transmitted based on live streaming data; extracting first feature data from the interactive message; determining first pose data based on the first feature data; and determining a pose of a first virtual avatar based on the first pose data, and transmitting the first virtual avatar.

Abstract: A system provides a “virtual room” for remotely sharing content experiences via electronic devices at different locations. The system may enable synchronization of the content at the different locations, access control, be able to provide and/or experience interaction feedback regarding the content, control the interaction feedback that is provided and/or experienced, enhance the ability of people to distinguish the content from the interaction feedback, and so on. As such, people may be able to share content experiences more like they were present in a single location while remote from each other.

Abstract: Various aspects of the subject technology relate to methods, systems, and machine-readable media for scaling a network security policy manager. The method includes receiving a stream comprising replication logs at a subscriber node, the replication logs comprising changes made to a publisher node that publishes contents to a plurality of subscriber nodes including the subscriber node, the replication logs streamed in response to changes being made to the publisher node. The method also includes replaying the replication logs at the subscriber node to update the subscriber node, wherein a replication lag is lower than a replay lag by a predefined threshold. The method also includes storing the replication logs on at least one remote server separately from the subscriber node to increase the scalability of updating the plurality of subscriber nodes, at least one remote server located geographically proximate to the subscriber node.

Abstract: A map data analysis unit refers to map data for a game in which a plurality of players compete in a three-dimensional space to extract positional information on each player. A feature parameter extraction unit extracts a feature parameter related to the game. A spectating area analysis unit analyzes one or more areas in a map that should be viewed by spectators, based on the positional information on each player and the feature parameter related to the game. A map data generation unit generates spectating map data by associating information indicating the area that should be viewed by spectators with the map data.

Abstract: A system in which players participate as characters in a virtual game world via game clients executing on client devices. An observer mode is provided that enables users to navigate in the game world without requiring a game client so that a user can navigate the game world while not actively playing the game. When a user accesses the game in observer mode, a view of the game world is rendered from the viewpoint of an observer's character; the observer's character may not correspond to a character in the game and the observer's character may not be visible to the players in the game. The rendered view of the game world is streamed to a viewing application on a personal device. Navigation inputs allow the observer's character to move freely within the game world.

The processor is configured to receive center pivot irrigation system information corresponding to a center pivot irrigation system and to request map data. The processor is also configured to a user interface with a map of the center pivot irrigation system. The processor is additionally configured to render an alteration point marker at a first position, the alteration point marker representing an alteration point for the pivot, the alteration point corresponding to a first radial position of the pivot at which a change in operation of the pivot is set to occur. Abstract: Methods and systems for creating a cluster view person for genealogical studies. Methods may include obtaining a plurality of genealogical trees. Each of the genealogical trees may include a plurality of interconnected nodes representing individuals that are related to each other. Methods may also include identifying one or more of the genealogical trees that contain a similar individual. Whether two individuals are grouped may depend on similarity and/or quality thresholds. Methods may include creating an aggregate individual including each of the similar individuals in each of the identified genealogical trees. The aggregate individual may combine information from each of the similar individuals.

Abstract: Live camera video of video game players may be captured. Portions of the live video that include the player's faces may be inserted into the faces of characters that are controlled by the players and displayed in real-time. The players may stream video output from the video game to respective groups of spectators. The game video output may include a competition area and a competition audience that includes audience portions based on the groups of spectators that receive the game video output from the players. An audience member may be associated with a spectator, and the spectator's username, profile picture, chat messages and other spectator input may be displayed adjacent to the audience member. A queue of waiting players may be displayed simultaneously with current gameplay in the competition area, and a queued character may move to the competition area when an open competition slot becomes available.

The system may provide, on a plurality of second devices of the users watching the television program, a user interface comprising the forum and one or more affinity indicators for expressing user emotions relating to the television program. The system may receive, from a second device of a user, user input indicating a comment or a user emotion relating to the television program through the one or more affinity indicators. The system may distribute in real-time the comment or the user emotion relating to the television program received from the second device of the user across other second devices of the users watching the television program.

Abstract: Described herein are techniques and mechanisms for personalized timeline presentation. Client devices may be presented with video content in association with a content management account. A video content item may be associated with more than one pause point, with each pause point indicating a time at which playback of the video content item was paused. Different profiles associated with the content management account may be associated with different pause points for the same video content item. Playback of the video content item may be resumed at one of the pause points when one of the profiles is selected.

Abstract: A user interface for a media system supports using gestures, such as swiping gestures and taps, to navigate frame-synchronized video clips or video feeds. The detection of the gestures is interpreted as a command to navigate the frame-synchronized content. In one implementation, a tracking system and a trained machine learning system is used to generate the frame synchronized video clips or video feeds. In one implementation, video clips of an event are organized into storylines and the user interface permits navigation between different storylines and within individual storylines.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for customizing consumer products. A display device may present a rendering of a customizable product to a user. The display device may also present a set of customizations on a scrollable axis. An input interface such as a touch interface may receive a selection of at least one customization from the user, and the rendering of the product may be updated to display the customizations selected by the user. An electronic file may be generated that includes product manufacturing details, which indicate the customizations selected by the user. The product may be an article of footwear, and a printer may print the selected customizations on the article of footwear.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and non-transitory computer readable media are configured to detect a concept reflected in a first media content item to which a user is provided access. It is determined that the concept has a threshold level of relevance to the user. The concept is associated with an element that upon selection causes a transition to a second media content item to which the user is provided access, the second media content item reflecting the concept. The element is presented in the first media content item for the user.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for disambiguating entities in a mobile environment and using the disambiguated entity to perform actions. An example method includes identifying an ambiguous entity reference in a screen shot of an interface generated by a first mobile application executing on a mobile device, determining a chronological window of content captured prior to the screen shot, and identifying a plurality of entities appearing in the chronological window of content. The method also includes disambiguating the ambiguous entity reference using the plurality of entities appearing in the chronological window and using the disambiguated entity to perform an action in a second mobile application executing on the mobile device.

Abstract: A graphical instruction data processing method and apparatus, and a system are disclosed, to help reduce a quantity of transmitted graphical instruction data, and lower a requirement on bandwidth. Aspects of the disclosure provide a method for processing graphical instruction data. The method includes obtaining, by a server device in a cloud interactive system, graphical instruction data of a frame, and determining whether the frame satisfies a key frame setting condition. Further, the method includes when the frame is determined to fail to satisfy the key frame setting condition, comparing the graphical instruction data of the frame with graphical instruction data of a current key frame, to obtain differential data, and sending the differential data to user equipment in the cloud interactive system. The user equipment reconstructs the graphical instruction data of the frame according to the current key frame and the differential data.

Abstract: Minimizing bandwidth consumption in rendering dynamic content, such as video streaming. Traditional streaming video applications utilize lossy protocols that often result in degraded user experiences. A dynamic content encoder/decoder allows a server-based browser application to generate vector-based rendering instructions for processing by a client-based browser application. Additionally, as the dynamic content changes the content to be displayed, a server-based browser application generates updated vector-based instructions and encoded spatial and temporal differences to minimize the data transmitted to the client-based browser.

Abstract: The present technology is a video recording system and method of recording a video while applying special effects in real time prior to and/or while recording. The system includes a processing unit in communication with a camera and a memory unit. The processor receives a raw video data at a native speed rate from the camera or remote video stream, and an input from an interface. The system determines if the native speed rate of the raw video data is to be changed, and if so then modifies at least one frame in the raw video data to create a modified video data at a modified speed rate that is different to the native speed rate. The system then generates an output video recording data and writes it to memory. This allows for the continuous recording of video from the camera or video feed at different speed rates without altering camera operations or settings.

Abstract: Disclosed are a digital media asset selection interface and method. The interface may comprise a plurality of digital media assets that are displayed to a user such that the user can navigate the digital media assets in a first direction and a second direction, such as a horizontal direction and a vertical direction. In a more particular embodiment, the digital media assets are listed horizontally such that assets listed to the left of a selection pane represent a “past” aspect and assets listed to the right of a selection pane represent a “future” aspect. The digital media assets listed vertically are related to one another in some way.

Abstract: As part of a communication session, a wireless source device can transmit audio and video data to a wireless sink device, and the wireless sink device can transmit user inputs received at the wireless sink device back to the wireless source device. In this manner, a user of the wireless sink device can control the wireless source device and control the content that is being transmitted from the wireless source device to the wireless sink device. As part of transmitting user input to the source device, the sink device can generate a data packet with a data packet header that includes a timestamp flag indicating the presence of a timestamp field, and the source device can process the data packet based on a timestamp in the timestamp field.

Abstract: User devices such as electronic book readers may be configured to provide a particular device experience. This device experience may comprise settings of a user interface, states of one or more applications or modules executing on the device, timing of events, and so forth. Settings, state information, timing, and so forth describing the device experience may be stored as an experience template. This experience template may be distributed to other user devices, allowing those other devices to experience the same or similar experiences.

Abstract: One embodiment provides a method of identifying a location of a target object within a plurality of images, the method including: utilizing at least one processor to execute computer code that performs the steps of: receiving a plurality of images; receiving position information indicating a central location, wherein the central location comprises a location that the plurality of images were taken; receiving direction information indicating a position of a target object with respect to the central location, wherein one of the plurality of images contains the target object; and determining, using the position information and the direction information, a target location, wherein the target location comprises a location of the target object. Abstract: A system that incorporates teachings of the present disclosure may include, for example, a process that reduces a sampling size of a total population of on-line social network users based on a comparison of seed information to a population of on-line social network users. The reduced sampling of on-line social network users is compared to a social graph of the on-line social network users, wherein the social graph is obtained from an algorithm applied to the reduced sampling of the on-line social network users. An outlier is determined in the reduced sampling of on-line social network users based on a characterizing of a cluster of social network users. Additional embodiments are disclosed.

In one aspect, a first set of subjective attributes for a first entity is identified based on a reaction to the first entity. A classifier is trained on a set of input-output mappings, wherein the set of input-output mappings comprises an input-output mapping whose input is based on a feature vector for the first entity and whose output is based on the first set of subjective attributes. A feature vector for a second entity is then provided to the trained classifier to obtain a second set of subjective attributes for the second entity.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for detecting and ranking entities identified in screen content displayed on a mobile device. For example, a method includes receiving an image captured from a mobile device display for a mobile application and determining a window that includes a chronological set of images, the images each representing a respective screen captured from a display of a mobile device and having an associated timestamp. The method also includes identifying entities appearing in images in a first portion of the window using text for images in a remaining portion of the window as context to disambiguate ambiguous entity references.
