Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to workload-based dynamic throttling of video processing functions. Systems and methods are disclosed that dynamically throttle video processing and/or streaming based on a workload. Live video is captured from one or more sources (e.g., cameras) and stored. The video is then provided to a video processing engine and a video streaming engine. The video processing engine may perform one or more operations such as object detection, object tracking, and object classification to produce characterization data (e.g., bounding boxes, object trajectories, alerts, object labels, object counts, boundary crossings, intersection highlighting, etc.). System resource usage and performance of the video processing and streaming are monitored to produce workload data (e.g., metrics). Based on the policies and the workload data, the video streaming and/or processing is dynamically reconfigured by adjusting parameters provided to the video streaming and processing engines.

Abstract: A user interface (UI) includes a video display area for presenting video content, a text entry field, and a comment section. The UI also provides UI controls for enabling a user to select a portion of the video content and for generating a typed hyperlink in the text entry field that references the selected portion of the video content. A UI control for creating a new comment in the comment section of the UI that includes the typed hyperlink from the text entry field is also provided. A user can select a typed link in a comment and, in response thereto, the content type for the referenced portion of the video content can be determined based on data in the selected link. A preview of the portion of the video content can then be presented based upon the determined content type.

Abstract: An illustrative user interface (UI) remote streaming system obtains a UI dataset defining a user-customized UI that provides a client device access to multi-access edge computing (MEC) resources associated with data migration operations to be performed on tagged data resource of a plurality of data resources. Based on the UI dataset, the system streams data to and from the client device to direct the client device to present the user-customized UI to a user. When the system detects that a previously untagged data resource of the plurality of data resources becomes tagged by the user as data is streaming to and from the client device, the system changes a set of UI elements included within the user-customized UI to add an additional UI element for the newly tagged data resource. Corresponding methods and systems are also disclosed.

More particularly, but not by way of limitation, the present disclosure addresses systems and methods for presenting and accessing filters within user interfaces displaying media content items.

The set of instance layer data specifies a plurality of object instances within the scene, with each instance of the plurality of object instances corresponding to a position that an instance of a digital object is to appear in the scene. The set of instance layer data further specifies a first set of characteristics of the plurality of object instances that includes the position. A second set of instance layer data that indicates changes to be made to the scene described by the first set of instance layer data is obtained. A third set of instance layer data is generated to include the changes to the scene by overlaying the second set of instance layer data onto the first set of instance layer data. The scene is caused to be rendered by providing the third set of instance layer data to an instancing service.

Abstract: According to an aspect, a method for searching within user-generated reviews includes receiving, from a client device, a search query to search within a plurality of user-generated reviews relating to a plurality of entities, and identifying, in response to the search query, a set of user-generated reviews from the plurality of user-generated reviews that correspond to one or more search terms of the search query, where the set of user-generated reviews includes a user-generated review for a first entity and a user-generated review for a second entity. The first entity is different from the second entity. The method includes providing at least a portion of the user-generated review for the first entity and at least a portion of the user-generated review for the second entity for simultaneous display on a comparison layout of a user interface of the client device.

Abstract: An image display system includes: a display device; an image supply device coupled to the display device in such a way as to be able to bidirectionally communicate and supplying an image signal; and an operation terminal having a plurality of operation buttons. The operation terminal transmits an operation signal in response to an operation on the operation button. The display device displays a first image supplied from the image supply device and a second image generated by the display device. On receiving the operation signal, the display device decides a degree of priority of the first image and the second image. Abstract: A system and method for presenting video asset information to a viewer to assist the view in selecting a video asset for viewing is described. The video assets can be available from a plurality of different video asset sources, such as VOD (video on demand), PVR (personal video recorders) and broadcast (including over the air, cable, and satellite). Images from the video assets are displayed in a uniform manner, along with information about the video assets. The information includes data in a metadata category. The view can select one of the video assets for viewing, but also can navigate using metadata categories such as genre, actors, director etc. Moreover, the system and method includes an on-screen remote control that can be utilized in conjunction with a physical input device for navigation and viewing one or more video assets. This allows a much easier and natural navigating and selection process for viewers.

The method also establishes a second browser instance on a second virtual machine. The method may use the first browser profile sync and encrypt agent acting through a profile helper service to encrypt profile changes involving the first browser instance on an encrypted master profile and use the second browser profile sync and encrypt agent acting through the profile helper service to encrypt profile changes involving the second browser instance on the encrypted master profile. The method maintains a browser profile persistence for the first browser instance and for the second browser instance, using the encrypted master profile, on a single on-disk profile.

Abstract: The present disclosure describes techniques of processing information flow and synchronously displaying image s, mask frames and comment information. According to the present disclosure, a system processes a first information stream uploaded by a stream pushing terminal to obtain a frame image and mask frame data, the mask frame data corresponding to the frame image and identifying a timestamp offset indicative of a time difference between the mask frame data and a playing timestamp of the frame image. The system synthesizes the frame image and the mask frame data to generate a second information stream; and output the second information stream to a client for synchronously displaying the image frame, a corresponding mask frame, and the comment information.

Abstract: A virtualization system implemented within a cloud server enables the simulation of robot structure and behavior in a virtual environment. The simulated robots are controlled by clients remote from the cloud server, enabling human operators or autonomous robot control programs running on the clients to control the movement and behavior of the simulated robots within the virtual environment. Data describing interactions between robots, the virtual environment, and objects can be recorded for use in future robot design. The virtualization system can include robot templates, enabling users to quickly select and customize a robot to be simulated, and further enabling users to update and re-customize the robot in real-time during the simulation. The virtualization system can re-simulate a portion of the robot simulation when an intervention by a human operator is detected, positioning robots, people, and objects within the virtual environment based on the detected intervention.

Abstract: The exemplary embodiments relate to improving the user experience associated with a digital platform. A first user device configured to remotely access a digital platform may receive a first signal broadcast by a second user device. Two or more types of communication protocols that are available to use for establishing a direct communication channel between the user devices are identified. One of the communication protocols is selected and a communication channel is established between the user devices in accordance with the selected communication protocol. The first user device then receives authentication information from the second user and establishes a session with the digital platform based on the authentication information received from the second user device.

For various embodiments, the medical software tools platform and its associated medical software tools are presented on a surgical display (e.g., being utilized in an operating room) over an image stream provided by a surgical camera (e.g., in use in the operating room or with other endoscopic procedures). Various medical software tools can provide features and functions that can facilitate integration of equipment in an operating room or add medical context awareness to anatomic structures presented in the image stream from the surgical camera and provide archived information pertaining to the same.

Abstract: System, method, and computer product embodiments for controlling a display device's display settings from a computing device's touch-based user interface are described. In an embodiment, the computing device establishes a wireless connectivity with the display device. The computing device sends a command generated to query information related to the display setting. Then, the computing device receives the queried information from the display device. The computing device configures a graphical user interface (GUI) with the queried information to display configurations of the display settings on the touchscreen. The configurations include the display settings currently configured in the display device. The computing device further enables, within GUI, a displayed configuration from the display configurations to be calibrated by one or more touch gestures on the touchscreen.

The system is operable to electronically link the activity provided by the user with the particular segment of multimedia content in which the activity was captured by the system. The system is also configured to throttle the number of activities that are displayed to a user for any given segment based on (1) viewers linked to the user (e.g., groups, social media groups, etc.), (2) viewers that influence the user, (3) viewers selected by the user, (4) viewers that cause the user to be engaged with the multimedia content, and (5) a threshold number of activities set by the viewer or the system.

The computing system may cause display of a first user interface on a device of the first user, where the first user interface shows only the first subset of information with a first element displayed using a first format. The computing system may cause display of a second user interface on a device of the second user, where the second user interface shows only the second subset of information with the first element displayed using a second format.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatuses are described for automatically navigating a graphical user interface (GUI) of a media device. In embodiments, objects (e.g. selectable items) in device GUI menu screens may be located, identified, and selected by another device (e.g., a switch) using several types of image processing, image recognition, and automated screen navigation techniques. For instance, a device may receive an operation request, for example from a user, receive a video signal from the connected media device, extract a video frame, process the video frame using one or more algorithms, and automatically navigate the GUI of the device by transmitting one more navigation commands for application to the GUI. In this manner, multi-step, time-consuming manual GUI navigation to achieve a desired result may be reduced to an automated technique, allowing users to save time and frustration in navigating a GUI using a remote control to find a particular resource.

Abstract: Systems and methods are presented for reducing network traffic when retrieving media guidance data. For example, a media guidance application receives a first user selection to display a group of media asset identifiers (e.g., video-on-demand listings) and retrieves detailed information from a remote server relating to the media asset identifiers to display to a user. The media guidance application then may receive a user selection to display a second group of media asset identifiers (e.g., purchased media assets). If any of the media asset identifiers are common to both groups, then the media guidance application already obtained the detailed information and the detailed information does not need to be retransmitted in order to be displayed. Thus, the media guidance application only retrieves detailed information for media asset identifiers unique to the second group of media asset identifiers (e.g., they are only on the purchased media asset list).

Abstract: Methods, systems, and/or devices for controlling media presentation at a shared media presentation system are described herein. To that end, an electronic device defines a distance-related access restriction between a media presentation system and a second electronic device. The device selects one or more access control settings for the media presentation system to be controlled by the second electronic device. The device receives a request, from the second electronic device, to control playback at the media presentation system. In accordance with a determination that the second electronic device meets the distance-related access restriction, the device provides authorization for the second electronic device to access the media presentation system using media control requests that comply with the one or more access control settings selected by the electronic device.

Abstract: A system and process generate tailored movies based on user profile data. The system extracts a viewer's profile data and selects scenes for assembly into a rendered movie. Different viewers may thus see different movie storylines based on their individual profile data. Some embodiments may include an anti-piracy scheme which may watermark parts of the individualized movies. A blockchain may be used to determine whether a movie is generated for the user viewer or an unauthorized copy of someone's else's movie.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for maintaining various application installed in an image display device, and more particularly, to a method for operating an image display device, the method allowing a user to more conveniently select and execute applications in configuring selection menus of the applications, and to an image display device using the method. The method comprises: searching for applications which can be used on an image display device; displaying a first application list including selected menu items of the selected applications; and displaying one or more application key screens from among the applications which are included in the first application list. Accordingly, the user of the image display device can be provided, from the image display device, with application menus, which include menu items for running the applications that can be used on the image display device.
