Abstract: A seal for a ball screw is provided with a foreign material removing member having a hole of a shape corresponding to a sectional shape of a ball screw shaft taken perpendicularly to an axis thereof to prevent a foreign material from invading from an outside of a ball screw nut and a seal member having a hole of a shape corresponding to a sectional shape of the ball screw shaft to retain a lubricant existing inside the ball screw nut. The foreign material removing member and the seal member are mounted to the ball screw shaft, at each of both the axial ends of the nut, while being overlapped to each other in a state that inner peripheral portions of the foreign material removing member and the seal member contact an outer peripheral surface of the ball screw shaft and the ball rolling groove thereof. The foreign material removing member is disposed outside the seal member in the axial direction of the ball screw nut.
Abstract: A ball screw shaft, having a longitudinal cylindrical internal cavity, closed at its ends by means of inserted terminals or plugs, housing vibration controlling means in the form of a pair of plied cables fastened tensioned to the inserted terminals or plugs. One or more dissipater elements, having respective through holes for said pair of cables are provided positioned transversely free relative to an inner surface of said longitudinal cavity.
Abstract: A ball screw shaft, with increased vibration frequency and improved vibration dissipation, having a longitudinal cylindrical internal cavity, closed at its ends by means of inserted terminals or plugs, has in said cavity a filling of granular material with low density and high superficial roughness freely distributed and, moreover, according to a variation of the invention, said longitudinal cylindrical internal cavity has inserted therein a pipe made of composite polymeric material, whose outer surface is made adherent and integral with the inner wall of the longitudinal cylindrical cavity; said pipe having in its longitudinal cavity said filling made of granular material with low density and high superficial roughness.
Abstract: The present invention provides a ball screw having spacers which can assuredly be retained between balls and prevent direct contact between the balls. The ball screw includes a plurality of spacers (1) provided between respective adjacent pairs of balls. The spacers (1) each include a base plate (2) having front and back surfaces, and at least three projections (4, 6) provided on each of the front and back surfaces of the base plate (2). The projections (4) on the front surface is offset from the projections (6) on the back surface. The spacers (1) are each provided perpendicularly to a traveling direction of the balls with the projections (4, 6) on the front and back surfaces resiliently abutting against the balls.
Abstract: A recirculating-ball nut and screw set having mounted with lubrication means effective in improving the sliding characteristic and also realizing maintenance-free for lubrication. The lubrication means is mainly comprised of a lubricating plate accommodated in a holder attached to a ball nut. The lubricating plate is made with a tongue that will come into sliding engagement with a helical groove formed around a screw shaft. The lubricating plate is made of a sintered resinous component of porous structure in which cells are impregnated with lubricant.
Abstract: A ball screw includes a spindle element which has a first groove arrangement on an outer circumferential surface, a nut element which surrounds the spindle element and has a second groove arrangement on an inner circumferential surface, and a plurality of balls, at least some of which engage into the first groove arrangement and the second groove arrangement. The nut element is rotatable about an axis of rotation with respect to the spindle element, and, during the rotation of the nut element about the axis of rotation with respect to the spindle element, the balls which engage into the first groove arrangement and the second groove arrangement roll in the first and the second groove arrangement, while at the same time rotate about respective ball axes of rotation.

Abstract: There is provided a return pipe type ball screw capable of accurately positioning and fixing return pipes on and to a nut member even when a troublesome positioning operation is not carried out, and circulating balls endlessly and smoothly for a long period of time without the possibility that dust enters the interior of the nut member. In such a ball screw, ball passing holes formed so as to extend through the nut member are inclined at an angle equal to a lead angle of a ball rolling groove of a screw shaft, and each of the return pipes is formed by combining together a pair of return pieces adapted to be fitted in the ball passing holes.
Abstract: A ring-like lubricant supply device 6 is fitted into a recess 4 of a nut member 2. The lubricant supply device 6 contains a lubricant and is formed in an outer peripheral surface with notches 7. Tubular members 8 each having an outer diameter larger than the diameter of the notch 7 are inserted into the notches, pushing and widening the notches 7 in a circumferential direction. One end of the tubular member 8 is fitted into a recess 9b of a retaining ring 9 and the retaining ring 9 is fixed to a nut member 2.
Abstract: A ball rolling groove 1c is defined in an inner peripheral surface of A ball screwed nut 1 by a rolling process, not by a grinding process so that a ball screwed nut having small diameters or large leads can be manufactured. The surface of the ball rolling groove 1c is finished to be sharp without concave and convex by a plastic working by the rolling process, so that the surface is less rough. By rolling the surface by the rolling process excellent in durability, the precision of R shape of the ball rolling groove 1c can be made excellent.
Abstract: A rolling-body screw drive includes a threaded spindle and a threaded nut (10) enclosing the threaded spindle, a helically running threaded channel being provided between an outer circumferential surface of the threaded spindle and an inner circumferential surface (24) of the threaded nut (10), the threaded channel forming, together with a return channel (50) which connects the two end regions of the threaded channel, an endless circulatory channel in which an endless series of rolling bodies is accommodated. A deflecting element (32, 34) is mounted in a cutout (28, 30) in the nut adjacent each end region of the threaded channel. Each deflecting element has a deflecting channel (64) for transferring the rolling bodies between the threaded channel and the return channel (50) and between the return channel (50) and the threaded channel.
Abstract: In a roller screw, a plurality of rollers 16 interposed between a nut member 14 and a screw shaft 12 are composed of a forward-motion load roller group 17, the rollers 16 of which are arranged in such a manner that the center lines thereof are set at a given angle &agr; with respect to the center line of the screw shaft 12, and a backward-motion load roller group 18, the rollers 16 of which are arranged in such a manner that the center lines thereof are set at an angle &bgr;, which is different from the angle &agr;, with respect to the center line of the screw shaft 12; and, the forward-motion load roller group 17 and backward-motion load roller group 18 are disposed such that they are separated from each other.
