  • Patent number: 11193418
Abstract: The present invention relates to internal combustion engines, and discloses a double-cylinder internal combustion engine. The double-cylinder internal combustion engine of the present invention adopts a curved groove ball bearing mechanism to replace crank-connecting rod mechanisms since traditional internal combustion engines have a complicated structure, high material requirements, high processing difficulty, and the inertia effect and noises thereof are hard to be eliminated. Two inner rings of the curved groove ball bearing mechanism are fixedly connected, and a valve mechanism and an ignition mechanism are driven through a gear pair, so that the two sets of cylinders and pistons reciprocate in opposite directions to automatically balance reciprocating inertia thereof. Compared with the prior art, the present invention has simple motion forms which only consist of the rotary motion and the reciprocating motion, and low noises are produced.

Abstract: A hydraulic, pneumatic, gasoline, diesel, or electric tool may include a spindle that is adapted for rotational movement. A swing arm may be coupled to the spindle such that rotational motion of the spindle is transferred to the swing arm. The swing arm makes contact with a piston such that the rotational motion causes the piston to move along a linear path. The piston may interact with an energy storage medium when the swing arm moves the piston in the first direction, causing energy to be stored in the energy storage medium. As the swing arm continues to rotate, the swing arm may lose contact with the piston, thus allowing the energy storage medium to urge the piston in a second direction opposite the first direction to strike an anvil. The swing arm may be a multiple roller swing arm. The energy storage medium may be a compound spring assembly.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for opening and closing a cartridge holder of a beverage forming machine. The cartridge holder may have an opening arranged to receive and hold a cartridge with the cartridge holder in an open position, e.g., the opening may face a front of the beverage forming machine and be in an upwardly inclined position in the open position. A pivot pin of the cartridge holder may be moved along a linear path, and in response, a cam and cam follower may cause the cartridge holder to pivot and move to a closed position, e.g., in which the opening of the cartridge holder is in a downwardly inclined orientation.

Abstract: A continuously variable transmission (CVT) can include a rotary cam member defining an internal cam surface operably engaged with a cam follower assembly for generating a displacement waveform with a constant velocity portion. A ratio control assembly can restrain the cam follower assembly for reciprocal linear movement and can scale the reciprocal linear movement between at least 0% and 100%, inclusive, in response to an angular orientation of the ratio control assembly. An output assembly can convert the scaled reciprocal linear movement into rotary movement of an output shaft. A CVT method can include generating a periodic displacement waveform with a constant velocity portion, scaling the periodic displacement waveform between at least 0% and 100%, inclusive, with a ratio plate, where the scaling is in response to an angular orientation of the ratio plate, and converting the reciprocal linear movement into rotary output with a combiner.

A shift cam is caused to rotate based on the output of the motor. The shift cam has a cam profile surface. A cam follower rides along the cam profile surface upon rotation of the shift cam. Movement of the cam follower causes movement of a mode fork resulting in the mode clutch shifting between the engaged and disengaged positions. A sensor outputs a voltage to a controller based on a physical location of the cam follower. The controller activates the motor based on the voltage.

Abstract: A drive cam is rotated about a camshaft member upon application a drive torque of a drive source to the drive cam. A transmission device converts rotational motion of the drive cam into linear reciprocating motion and transmits the converted linear reciprocating motion to a control shaft member. The control shaft member is connected to a controlled subject and is linearly reciprocated together with the transmission device in an axial direction. A reverse input cutoff clutch transmits the drive torque, which is received from the drive source, to the drive cam. The reverse input cutoff clutch non-rotatably locks an output shaft of the drive source in response to a reverser input torque transmitted from the controlled subject through the drive cam.
