Abstract: A bat tube for use with a harvester pick-up reel. The bat tube is configured to resist torsional loads, without having to use fasteners that engage holes in the bat tube. Preferably, the external surface of the bat tube provides at least one key or keyway that engages a corresponding keyway or key in the band or strap portion of the tines. As such, once a tine is engaged with the bat tube, the tine is generally prevented from rotating about the bat tube. Additionally, by not using fasteners to engage holes in the bat tube, spacing between the tines can be varied. The bat tube allows for tine fastening and torsional resistance without drilling or punching holes, which allows for easily variable tine spacings. It also allows for improved crop gathering and crop entry characteristics over a typical round profile.

Abstract: Heated hand grips for motorcycles or other applications, such as snowmobiles, are disclosed. The hand grips enable better control and comfort for the user. The hand grips described herein have a better design for mounting on the handle bars, allowing for a better seal against ingress of moisture and for sturdier mounting of the control circuitry. The control circuitry itself is simplified, and the control knob has built-in detents for more tactile feedback to the user. The heated elements themselves include a temperature sensor for simplified wiring and immediate feedback.

Abstract: An adjustable armrest that attaches to zero-radius turning mowers includes a telescoping armrest and a clamping bracket. The armrest provides a horizontal support for an operator's arm and is covered with a layer of foam padding for comfort. The clamping bracket is attachable to a steering handle at a prescribed location. In this manner, after the operator attaches an adjustable armrest on each of the steering handles the forearms and wrists are supported and the armrests pivot with the steering handles in order to preserve the comfortable supportive functioning of the armrests.

Abstract: A remote control for a shock absorber has a gripping body with a first positioning element, a pivoting handle and a positioning assembly. The pivoting handle pivotally connects with the gripping body and has a proximal part and a distal part. The proximal part has an abutting surface facing and selectively abutting the gripping body and a core-fastening hole corresponding to the passing hole of the gripping body. The distal part has a communicating recess formed longitudinally through the distal part and also formed in a bottom of the distal part. The positioning assembly is movably mounted in the communicating recess and has a second positioning element exposed from the bottom of the distal part and corresponding to and detachably engaged with the positioning assembly. A rider is able to conveniently control a shock absorber during riding by using the remote control so that facilitates riding.

  • Patent number: 8408092
Abstract: Disclosed is a safety device on a steering handle, capable of controlling a direction-control wheel of a wheeled vehicle. The handlebar is engaged with the head part by its mortise with a tenon of the head part. When an outer bar end of the handlebar is hit, an inner tube of the handlebar will be pushed to disengage the mortise and the tenon to rotate the handlebar along. Alternatively, paired washers with wedge-shaped teeth can be utilized to engage the handlebar with the head part. When the outer bar end is hit, the washers are disengaged to allow the handlebar to rotate. Moreover, a hydraulic system or an inserting rod with a chassis groove system can be employed to maintain the original direction of the direction-control wheel when the handlebar is hit. Therefore, a sudden turn of the direction-control wheel and an fall-over of the rider and the vehicle can be prevented.

  • Patent number: 8353227
Abstract: A structure for sufficiently spacing a steering handle from a top bridge, thereby greatly improving design flexibility. A relief portion for allowing the deformation of a washer is formed to overlap a second contact surface and adjacent to a first contact surface as viewed in the axial direction of each bolt member. The first contact surface is located so as not to overlap the second contact surface as viewed in the axial direction of each bolt member. Therefore, a bending force acts on the washer to allow the deformation of the washer. That is, the washer can exhibit a spring function to relax the effect of the bending force. As a result, the steering handle can be sufficiently spaced from the top bridge to thereby greatly improve design flexibility.
