  • Publication number: 20080184853
Abstract: A screw positioning sleeve assembly comprises an inner sleeve slideably received in an outer sleeve, so that the inner sleeve can be engaged with an ordinary tool rod or a screwdriver to screw or unscrew a screw. When screwing or unscrewing, a magnet in the outer sleeve can attract the screw. During the screwing and unscrewing process, the positioning sleeve can move towards the screw to make the magnet keep attracting the screw, thus preventing the screw from screwing or unscrewing falling off. It is noted that the rod body of the tool rod or the screwdriver can connect with the screw positioning sleeve assembly without any additional preformed structure. Therefore, the scope of applicability of the screw positioning sleeve assembly is enlarged considerably.

  • Patent number: 7311026
Abstract: A screw head and screwdriver for use in combination are provided to reduce the occurrence of stripping a screw head during tightening or removing the screw. The head slot employs slot walls that indent in some portion of the wall, the indent portion forming a ledge under which the screwdriver tip may be retentively captured thereby preventing the tip from lifting from the screw slot and stripping the screw head. The screw slot and driver also generally employ a tapered form, such that the slot widens from a central portion out to the outer circumferential edges. The narrow portion of the slot matching in form a narrow portion of the driver tip such that the driver tip tends not to slide off the screw head during use. Utilizing these inventive design concepts prevents the screwdriver tip from slipping off the head and resulting in the need to apply less downward pressure.

A slideable cap contacts the exposed surface of the first workpiece shortly after the process begins. Once the rivet is driven into the first and second workpieces, rotation ceases and the plasticized material hardens around the rivet. • Patent number: 6935824
Abstract: An improved tamper resistant screw and driver tool. In one embodiment, the present invention provides a tamper resistant screw and screw driver tool. The screw head features a unique tamper resistant design. The screw cannot be turned successfully with standard screw drivers, pliers, vice grips, wrenches or socket type wrenches. It is driven by a specially designed driver tool which, upon application, is centered on the screw head to avoid side-to-side slippage and is driven by angle-to-angle contact. The angle and depth of the drive tool can be changed to maximize the amount of torque delivered to the screw. This design not only discourages an individual from attempting to gain access to a restricted area, it will clearly indicate if the screw head has been tampered with by means of score marks and gouges.

  • Patent number: 6886431
Abstract: A screw has a head releasably engaged by a flat blade tip in such a manner so as to prevent the flat blade tip from sliding off of the head of the screw as the flat blade up tip drives the screw. The head of the screw has a blind slot defined by a pair of walls and which extends diametrically and completely thereacross, and a blind bore extending concentrically therein. The diameter of the blind bore is less than the width of the blind slot preventing damage to, or breakage of, a drill bit used to drill the blind bore during manufacture by preventing the drill bit from hitting the pair of walls during drilling. The flat blade tip has a projection depending centrally therefrom that is coplanar with, and is a continuation of, the flat blade tip so as to allow the projection to be readily formed by merely removing material from the flat blade tip.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a magnetic connecting tube for a screwdriver head with a main body, a push element, a spring element, a fastening ring, a block member and an engaging element. The main body having an engaging hole at one end thereof for receiving a hexagonal head which is secured by the engaging element in position. The main body includes under the engaging hole a through hole in which two permanent magnets are so arranged that the repulsive poles face to each other. When the hexagonal head is inserted into the engaging hole, it presses against the upper permanent magnet. In order to drive out the hexagonal head by means of the effect of the push element and the engaging element, the repulsive force between the permanent magnets is utilized to repel the hexagonal head out of the engaging hole. Meanwhile, the upper permanent magnet has the magnetic force to attract the hexagonal head such that the hexagonal head can be firmly attached and can't fall out of the engaging hole.
