Work Engaging Portion Pivotally Or Rotatably Connected To Handle Patents (Class 81/478)
  • Patent number: 11045924
Abstract: A folding torque wrench includes a bar body, a connection rod the front end of which is pivotally connected with the bar body, a tubular body fitted on the connection rod and a torque adjustment mechanism having at least one elastic member and an adjustment member. A threaded section of rear end of the connection rod is screwed in a threaded hole of the adjustment member. The threaded section of the connection rod and the threaded hole of the adjustment member are formed as a first threaded section and a second threaded section. The first threaded section is at least double-start threads. When rotating the adjustment member by one circle, the adjustment member is moved in the longitudinal direction of the connection rod by a travel, which is over two time the pitch of the first threaded section. The torque value of the wrench can be quickly greatly adjusted only by means of rotating the adjustment member by few circles.

  • Patent number: 10875161
Abstract: A lockable torque wrench with adjustment indication includes a rod body, a handle, a plurality of rollers having a rolling pillar, a rotation ring, and a pressing member. The rod body is combined into the handle and rotatable to protrude or retract against the handle for adjusting the torque. The rotation ring is disposed on an extension tube of the handle and mounted around the rollers. The rotation ring is switched between a locked and a relax positions. The pressing member has combination portions at two sides of the extension tube, and permanently engages the rolling pillar. In an ascend position, the rolling pillar is pressed toward the rod body by the prestress force supporting the pressing member. When meeting a position limiting groove, the rolling pillar is pressed to lower in the position limiting groove, providing a switch sensation formed for the user.

Abstract: An electronic click wrench comprises a handle for applying torque through a shaft to a working head. The shaft includes torque sensing means for calculating the torque applied to a workpiece by the working head, and a trigger mechanism for sending a haptic feedback to a user by triggering a small movement of the handle relative to the working head when a set point torque is reached. The trigger mechanism comprises a permanent magnet that is normally anchored by magnetic attraction to a pole piece so as to resist separation when a force is applied through the handle, and an electromagnetic means actuable to reduce or cancel that magnetic attraction so as to permit separation of the pole piece and permanent magnet, thus generating the haptic feedback. Operation of the electromagnet may oppose the flux of the permanent magnet through the pole piece. Alternatively operation of the electromagnet may divert the flux of the permanent magnet away from the pole piece.

Abstract: Use of multiple-slope and/or multiple-offset mechanism or equivalent to address the issues with current mechanical clickers that have single-slope spring mechanism. The varying-slope can be a continuously varying-slope non-linear spring, or a combination of discretely varying multiple-slope springs. This invention is useful for clicker type torque wrenches, clicker type torque screw drivers, beam type torque wrenches, beam type torque screw drivers and shock absorbers. The present invention is equally applicable to clickers that click in both the CW (clockwise) and CCW (counterclockwise) directions or clickers that click only in one direction. The invention is generally characterized by placing a non-linear spring or combination of springs in the tool body to achieve multiple slope operation rather than using one single slope spring.
