  • Patent number: 10772802
Abstract: A cutting device includes a first blade having a first sharp edge aligned in a first direction, and a second blade having a second sharp edge aligned in a second direction, opposite the first direction. The second blade is oriented adjacently in proximity with the first blade so that they may slide closely besides one another. The first sharp edge has a first concavely-curved indent, and the second sharp edge has a second concavely-curved indent aligned opposite the first concavely-curved indent. The first and second concavely-curved indents form an opening between the first sharp edge and the second sharp edge. The opening is adapted to receive a pill for cutting when the first blade is moved in the first direction and the second blade is concurrently moved in the second direction, which effectively splits the pill for precise dosing and reduced waste.

Abstract: A punch device for producing a partial cutout in a sheet medium capable of being folded over an axis of symmetry for a unique decorative effect is disclosed. The punch includes a seat body formed with a horizontal fissure and a vertical chamber communicated with the fissure. A cutting block is disposed in the chamber. One face of the cutting block is disposed with a cutter, while the other face of the cutting block is disposed with a channel passing through the cutting block. A pressing lever is pivotally disposed in the channel of the cutting block. In use, a paper or a sheet is pushed into the fissure of the seat body and then the pressing section of the pressing lever is depressed to force the cutting block downward with the die punching the paper or the sheet placed in the fissure. The sheet is perforated along half of an outline of a geometric shape or a design, such that the interior portion circumscribed by the perforation can be folded over the shape's axis of symmetry for a unique effect.

  • Patent number: 7013783
Abstract: A slide cam die including a slide cam base, a wedge-shaped slide cam sliding on a guide surface of the slide cam base and mounting a press tool such as a punch or a trimming blade thereon, and an actuating cam driving the slide cam in contact therewith. A press tool is mounted on the slide cam with an adapter plate interposed therebetween. With this configuration, when a pierce punch, or a flange block, or the like, needs to be removed for reasons such as the adjustment, the pierce punch or the flange block can be individually demounted without removing the entire slide cam. This results in reduced working time. In addition, since only the adapter plate is replaced, cost savings can be achieved by reusing the slide cam. Furthermore, a given slide cam can be used while still maintaining flexibility in design and use of the slide cam die.
