Each knife edge rises, relative to the rotation axis, between a first blade-edge location corresponding to a minor blade radius and a second blade-edge location corresponding to a major blade radius and further includes beveled primary and secondary knife-edge portions along which the first and second knife sides mutually converge at, respectively, a first bevel angle and a second bevel angle less acute than the first bevel angle.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 23, 2010Publication date: July 28, 2011Inventors: Eric C. Publication number: 20110162504Abstract: A magnet holding jig comprises a platform and first and second holders disposed on opposite sides of the platform. The platform is provided with channels, the holders are comb-shaped to define digits and slits, the channels and the slits being aligned to define guide paths for permitting entry of a cutting tool therein, and the holders are also configured as digitate hooks. The holder hooks are in contact with a rare earth magnet block resting on the platform. The holders are pushed inward at their lower portions so as to elastically deform the digitate hook and move it backward and to bring the hook digits in pressure abutment with the magnet block, thereby holding the magnet block in place on the platform.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 5, 2011Publication date: July 7, 2011Applicant: SHIN-ETSU CHEMICAL CO., LTD.Inventors: Yuhito Doi, Takehisa Minowa, Takayuki Hasegawa, Takaharu Yamaguchi, Koji Sato

Patent number: 7971510Abstract: The invention relates to a method for setting the cutting gap on a cutting device for cutting food products. According to said method, the actual distance between the blade and the cutting edge is first determined and a desired distance between the blade and the cutting edge is subsequently set by an electric repositioning device, taking into consideration said actual distance.Type: GrantFiled: August 12, 2002Date of Patent: July 5, 2011Assignee: Weber Maschinenbau GmbH BreidenbachInventor: Günther Weber

Patent number: 7946907Abstract: A saw blade includes a circular core having a plurality of cutters disposed along a periphery thereof, and a central bore configured to receive an arbor of a rotating power tool. A plurality of gullets is located in spaced relation between the cutters, extending radially inward from the periphery. Each of the gullets includes a neck portion defined by side walls extending radially inward and extending divergently from one another into an arcuate base. The arcuate base extends along concave arcs to a linear base portion disposed at a radially innermost portion thereof, and which intersects a radius of the saw blade.Type: GrantFiled: April 20, 2005Date of Patent: May 24, 2011Assignee: Saint-Gobain Abrasives, Inc.Inventor: Andre Roland Georges Heyen

Publication number: 20110017043Abstract: A saw blade assembly has a thin saw plate and a pair of collars, one to each side of the plate. The plate and collars include a center spindle hole, the spindle holes aligning with one another, and a plurality of secondary holes. The secondary holes are used to insert a fastener through the three elements. Alternatively, the thin saw plate is used with two collars that are not identically configured. One collar includes a center bushing having a spindle hole. The center bushing is longer than the first collar is thick and extends outwardly to one side of the collar. The saw plate and a second collar each includes a hole that accommodates the diameter of the center bushing such that the plate and the second collar fit over the bushing. Secondary holes are included to allow for the insertion of fasteners through common holes in the three elements.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 2, 2010Publication date: January 27, 2011Inventors: Don L. Patent number: 7832436Abstract: A movable blade unit for wood cutting machine is mounted to the rotating shaft of the wood cutting machine and includes a blade and an inner ring which is located between the blade and the rotating shaft. A movable ring is connected to the movable blade unit and includes a flange, an outer collar and the inner ring, wherein the flange is connected to the outer collar which is rotatably connected to the inner ring. The inner ring is mounted to the rotating shaft and a gap is defined between the inner ring and the rotating shaft. The inner ring includes multiple sets of rotating members which are in contact with the grooves in the rotating shaft so that the inner ring is rotatable and movable relative to the rotating shaft with little or reduced friction.Type: GrantFiled: March 30, 2009Date of Patent: November 16, 2010Assignees: Kuang Yung Machinery Co., Ltd.Inventor: Michael Jeffrey Strother
