Abstract: A die block assembly of the present invention includes an upper die (20), an unloading plate (40), a plurality of springs (60), and a plurality of spacer blocks (80). A plurality of receiving holes (30) is defined in the upper die, for receiving the springs. A plurality of rams (34) depends from the upper die, for stamping a workpiece (95). The unloading plate is movably connected under the upper die, and defines a plurality of through holes (42) for accommodating the corresponding rams therein. Each spacer block is a stepped cylinder which includes a base (82) and a protrusion (84) extending upwardly from the base. Each spring abuts the base of the corresponding spacer blocker. A height of each base is slightly greater than a maximize clearance between the upper die and the unloading plate. The spacer blocks prevent spring fragments produced in the stamping process from entering the clearance.

Abstract: The cutting plate of a press for shaping sheets of paper or cardboard comprises a bottom beam receiving a support plate (1) on which a metal cutting plate (7) is placed, the support plate (1) has means for adjusting its position in a horizontal plane and means for fixing the cutting plate (7). The support plate (1), on a first side thereof, has at least one moving stirrup (15, 16), the said moving stirrup being adapted to take up a clamping position where it prevents the cutting plate (7) from sliding on the support plate (1) and an inoperative position where it enables the cutting plate (7) to slide on the support plate (1). The side opposite the first side and one of the adjacent sides are provided with at least one fixed stirrup (10, 11, 12, 13, 14) disposed so that portions of the edge of the cutting plate (7) can be slid into the said fixed stirrups and be gripped under the moving stirrups in the clamping position.

Abstract: A cut-to-length shearing device for cropping strips has a stationary lower blade carrying beam having a first lower shearing blade and a stationary upper blade carrying beam having a first upper shearing blade. A mobile blade carrying beam is positioned between the stationary upper and lower blade carrying beams and has a second upper shearing blade and a second lower shearing blade. The second upper shearing blade is complementary to the first upper shearing blade and the first and second upper shearing blades define an upper cutting plane. The second lower shearing blade is complementary to the first lower shearing blade and the first and second lower shearing blades define a lower cutting plane.

Abstract: A punch guide/receptacle for a dambar-removal tool set has a mounting fixture and an insert adapted to mount to an adaptive region of the mounting fixture. Apertures for punch teeth in the guide/receptacle are a part of the insert. In practicing the invention inserts may be removed and repaired. In one embodiment the insert has an upper and a lower row of apertures, and repair may be accomplished in some instances simply by reversing the insert in the mounting block.

Abstract: A cutting die for cutting corrugated board that includes a quick attach and detach securing mechanism. The blade securing mechanism allows a blade to be quickly and easily removed from a die board that forms a part of the cutting die, and allows a replacement blade to be quickly and easily inserted into the die board. The die board includes a first slit for receiving a blade and a second slit adjacent the first slit. The blade securing mechanism is associated with the second slit for spreading the second slit and effectively closing the first slit against the blade so as to secure the blade within the first slit.
