Abstract: A method includes positioning an effective amount of a thermal target material at a treatment site of a patient. The treatment site, that is, the location of the thermal target material, comprises a location adjacent to biological tissue to be treated. The thermal target material includes carbon molecules preferably in a carrier fluid. Regardless of the particular structure of the carbon, the carbon molecules in the material heat very rapidly in response to incident microwave radiation and radiate heat energy. The heat energy radiated from an effective amount of the thermal target material when subjected to an effective quantity of microwave energy causes localized heating around the thermal target material. This localized heating may be applied for therapeutic purposes. However, the microwave radiation necessary to produce therapeutically effective heating is insufficient to cause cellular damage in the biological tissue by direct absorption in the tissue.

Specifically, the SAPs according to the present invention which initially spontaneous assemble, surprisingly form stable solid scaffolds upon exposure to neutral pH buffer. Further these SAPs allow adhesion, proliferation and differentiation of murine and human neural stem cells and have self-healing propensity. Abstract: Provided is luminescent gold nanomaterial functionalized by N-(4-aminobutyl)-N-ethylisoluminol, methods of preparation and application thereof. The functionalized gold nanoparticle nanomaterial are formed by N-(4-aminobutyl)-N-ethylisoluminol bonding to the surface of the gold nanomaterial. The functionalized gold nanomaterial are prepared by directly reducing chloroauric acid with N-(4-aminobutyl)-N-ethylisoluminol, wherein N-(4-aminobutyl)-N-ethylisoluminol acts as reducer and stabilizer simultaneously. The preparation method is simple, fast and no need of special conditions. The preparation methods can be performed in a wide temperature range, for example, 15-35° C. The size and pattern of the functionalized gold nanomaterial can be specified by choosing the ratio of chloroauric acid to N-(4-aminobutyl)-N-ethylisoluminol. The obtained functionalized nano gold particles exhibit excellent chemiluminescence properties.

Abstract: A method of preparing nano-carriers is disclosed. The method includes mixing an organic solution of a drug and an organic solution of a biological agent separately with a predetermined amount of water having one or more dissolved surfactants to obtain a first mixture and a second mixture respectively. Subsequently, the first mixture and the second mixture are homogenized separately to obtain a solution of nano-crystals of the drug and a solution of nano-particles of the biological agent respectively. Thereafter, the solution of nano-crystals of the drug and the solution of nano-particles of the biological agent are together subjected to an ultra-sound homogenization to obtain a solution of nano-carriers. An interfacial extraction and/or a dialysis are then performed on the solution of nano-carriers to obtain the nano-carriers. Formulations of the nano-carriers are also disclosed.
