Abstract: A pneumatic tire includes first and second pairs of main grooves extending in the tire circumferential direction; and auxiliary grooves disposed in land portions located between the first and second main grooves which open to the corresponding first main groove or the corresponding second main groove and terminate within the corresponding land portion. Each of the auxiliary grooves includes a first auxiliary groove that extends from the opening portion to the bent portion and a second auxiliary groove that extends from the bent portion to the terminating end. A length a of the first auxiliary groove and a length b of the second auxiliary groove have the relationship 0.3a<b<0.8a. The angle ? made by the first auxiliary groove and the second auxiliary groove at the bent portion is in the range 0°<?<90°.
Abstract: A tire comprises a center land region 25 provided with center sipes 7 having open ends 7E13 connected with a first center main groove 13 and a first middle land region 23 provided with middle sipes 8 having open ends 8E13 and 8E14 connected with the first center main groove 13 and/or a first shoulder main groove 14. The center sipes 7 include hook-shaped center sipes 55 crossing the center land region 25, and the middle sipes 8 include hook-shaped middle sipes 45 crossing the first middle land region 23.
Abstract: A pneumatic tire comprises shoulder land zones and middle land zones divided by shoulder main grooves and a crown main groove. The shoulder land zone is divided by shoulder lateral grooves into shoulder blocks. The middle land zone is formed as a circumferential rib in substance. The middle land zone is provided with first and second middle outward slots which extend from the shoulder main groove toward the axially inside beyond the widthwise center line of the middle land zone, while gradually decreasing the width and inclining with respect to the tire axial direction at an angle ?1 and an angle ?2 (?2>?1), respectively, and terminate within the middle land zone. The open ends of the first and second middle outward slots respectively face the open ends of the shoulder lateral grooves at the shoulder main groove.
Abstract: A pneumatic tire includes a tread portion provided with a pair of shoulder main grooves adjacent to each tread edge and a pair of center main grooves disposed axially inwardly of the shoulder main grooves to define a pair of middle portions each of which is between the adjacent shoulder main groove and center main groove. The center main grooves have groove widths larger than the groove widths of the shoulder main grooves. The respective middle portions are provided with a plurality of inner middle lug grooves extending axially outwardly of the tire from the center main groove, and a plurality of outer middle lug grooves extending axially inwardly of the tire from the shoulder main groove. The total number of inner middle lug grooves is smaller than the total number of outer middle lug grooves in each middle portion.
