Abstract: A pneumatic tire includes a tread portion provided with a pair of shoulder main grooves and at least one crown main groove between the shoulder main grooves to define a pair of middle portions between the adjacent shoulder main groove and crown main groove. The middle portions are provided with inner middle lug grooves and outer middle lug grooves. Each outer middle lug groove extends from the shoulder main groove to its axially inner end while decreasing its groove width. The outer middle lug groove are arranged with alternately arranged first pitches and second pitches, wherein the second pitches are larger than the first pitches. Each inner middle lug groove extends from the crown main groove to its axially outer end while decreasing its groove width. The inner middle lug grooves are arranged with substantially the same pitches.
