Abstract: A fishing device is provided for holding a distal end of a fishing rod above the surface of a body of water while also having a member for attaching a string of previously caught fish. The fishing device also has marks with which the caught fish can be measured.
Abstract: A one piece moulded wearable gimbal device has an apron 10, an engaging recess 11, and locating hooks 12. The engaging recess 11 extends from the center of the apron 10 downwardly and rearwardly into a portion of the support which is shaped in such a way that it may be positioned between the user's legs when the apron is under load so that the user has greater leverage on the fishing rod than would otherwise be available. Fastened across the recess 11 are one or more transverse pins 14 to support the rod. The locating hooks 12 extend from the top of the apron 10, and are of a size to enable them to be easily secured within a belt 13.
Abstract: The fishing rod holder has an entrance opening in its front wall portion located intermediate its opposite ends, with slot portions extending longitudinally from the opening in both directions. A supporting element of resiliently deformable material is seated in the upper section of the passageway, and a flexible retaining member is adapted for disengageable securement on the body across the upper slot portion. A fishing rod, with a mounted reel, can be assembled with the holder by inserting its lower end through the entrance opening, sliding the rod downwardly in the passageway while lowering its grip portion toward the supporting element, and thereafter affixing the retaining member in place.
