Abstract: In some embodiments, a pry bar is shaped to be conveniently worn along the belt by an operator such as a law enforcement officer. The pry bar includes a curved lever arm having a curvature that matches an operator's waist, and a prying ridge extending inward from a longitudinal end of the curved lever arm. The inward orientation of the prying ridge reduces the lever action of the pry bar, but allows the operator to conveniently carry the pry bar on the waist without snagging on external objects.
Abstract: It is one aspect of the present invention to provide an improved spatula apparatus configured to contact a substantial portion of container sidewalls. Another object of the present invention is to provide improved spatula apparatuses that are configured to hold and remove a larger amount of material from containers that have relatively small openings. An additional object of the present invention is to provide improved spatula apparatuses that are configured to conform to and remove material from a plurality of containers without requiring multiple swipes and other duplicative motions.
Abstract: A method and apparatus for removing ice and snow deposits from a vehicle during winter snow season. A hand-operated device for removing ice and snow deposits from a vehicle generally includes a handle, a blade, and one or more fasteners. A slotted aperture on an end of the handle is adapted to receive a coupling portion of the blade. Fasteners are positioned through the handle and blade at the slotted aperture to secure the handle and blade. The device enables a user to separate ice and snow deposits from a vehicle without damaging the vehicle.
Abstract: An implement for clearing debris from a drain cup or basket strainer in a sink includes an upright handle for gripping and operating the implement. A cutting member configured to cut up the debris and force it through the drain cup or basket strainer is mounted on a lower end of the handle. The cutting member includes a centrally disposed recess for the strainer basket handle or the basket attachment nut in the drain cup. A plurality of radially extending grooves are formed in a lower surface of the cutting member with cutting edges being formed on the edges of the grooves for cutting the debris and forcing it through the drain cup or basket strainer. The recess in the cutting member permits the blades of the cutting assembly to reach the base of the strainer without interference from the strainer basket handle or attachment nut.
Abstract: A tool for spreading viscous material comprising a sheet of resilient material having a inner face and an outer face, a handle attachment edge and a forward edge. The sheet being bent from the outer face toward the inner face along a bend line to form a V-shaped point to shape an offset corner blade and at least one substantially flat surface blade from the forward edge, and a handle for gripping the tool attached to the handle attachment edge of the sheet distal distally from the bend line.
Abstract: An apparatus for removing accumulated leaves and other debris from an overhead gutter of a building or the like, said apparatus including a blade adapted to skim a substantial portion of the internal skirt of said gutter to which leaves and debris are accumulated therein, and an elongated handle having one end adapted to be held by a user at a remote end substantially perpendicular to said blade.
