Abstract: An angled finishing knife for allowing an individual to apply drywall to difficult to reach areas such as around logs, corners, and various other areas. The inventive device includes a blade and a handle attached at an angle to the blade. The blade includes an application edge, a rear edge, a broad end adjacent the handle, and a narrow end opposite of the broad end. The narrow end is capable of reaching narrow areas for allowing the user to apply plaster, putty, or other material.
Abstract: A scraper for removing residual material from a container having a curved wall. The scraper includes a spatula component and a rigid handle component. The spatula component is made of a substantially flexible material having formed thereon rigid top and side members along the upper portion. The handle component continues onto the spatula component such that a rigid spine is formed therealong. This construction allows flexing of the lower portion about the rigid spine but restricts flexing of the upper portion.
Abstract: A paintbrush with scraper that includes a paintbrush having brush bristles attached to a brush handle, and a pivoting scraper blade that pivots into and is stored within a scraper blade recess formed within the brush handle, the pivoting scraper blade being lockable in a use position by a blade locking mechanism including a pivot member pivotally and slidably mounted on a pivoting shaft of a pivot shaft member, the pivot member having a pivot shaft guide passageway formed therein and a position locking pin extending therefrom; the pivot shaft member having the pivoting shaft extending therefrom and into the pivot shaft guide passageway, a mounting plate secured to the surface of scraper blade recess of the brush handle and two locking pin receiving channels formed therein; the position locking pin being positionable into one of the two locking pin receiving channels when the scraper blade is stored within the scraper blade recess formed within the brush handle; the position locking pin being positionable in t
Abstract: An ergonomic handle for a spreading tool designed to permit and encourage the user to grasp the handle with his/her fore and middle fingers extended onto the blade. The extended fingers are fully supported by an arch in the head of the handle, which combined with its comfortable gripping portion for the palm, thumb, ring and little fingers, allows proper alignment of the wrist and increased leverage on the blade while working the tool, yet minimizes fatigue, pain and the potential for injury.
Abstract: An ice scraper having a handle with a representational element mounted at its lower extremity, said representational element having a scraper blade incorporated in its lower extremity. The handle incorporates reinforcing means which extend downwardly into the representational element to rigidify the same.
Abstract: A T-shaped scraper for curved windshield and windows of a newer aerodynamically designed automobile comprises an elongated handle at the stem and a blade with an arc-shaped scraping edge which provides various scraping curvatures by varying the angle of attack. For more intimate contact between a wider portion of the scraping edge and the glass surface, a combination of the scraping induced normal force on the edge, elastic deformations of the edge and the custom profiled blade are used.
Abstract: A scraper tool includes a handle with an axial shaft with a bend connecting the shaft to a parallel shaft extension that has a triangular carbide blade attached thereto. The tool may be manual gripped by both hands of an operator simultaneously for scraping cylinder blocks.
Abstract: A cleaning device for scooping the paint left over in the channel or groove of a can of liquid paint by previous uses of the can, and for returning the collected paint, back to the interior of the can, while the device is pushed around the can to effect both the scooping action on the liquid paint and the deflecting action of the liquid back to the can. The device has a scooping section, made of stamped material, and having the shape and mold of the groove, so as to present a perfect match with the contour of the groove for effectively scooping the paint, and a deflecting surface for returning the scooped paint back to the interior of the can. It also has a long and flat handle section which is easy to hold. The device is meant to be low cost in manufacture, so as to proliferate in large and inexpensive numbers among paint users, paint shops and paint dealers.
Abstract: A container cleaning spatula includes a generally rectangular scoop attached to an elongated handle. A pair of tabs extend rearwardly from a rearward edge of the scoop. The tabs have outside edges that are collinear with the straight side edges of the scoop, and are coplanar with the edge portions thereof. The spatula is used to remove residual viscous material from a container by scraping a straight side edge of the scoop against the wall of the container. The spatula is also used to remove residual material from under an inverted U-shaped rim of a typical container by engaging a tab thereunder, and running the tab therealong.
Abstract: A scraper for removing deposits from an interior of a chimney. The inventive device includes an elongated handle having a scraping plate attached to a lower end thereof for engaging and scraping the interior surfaces of the chimney. The scraping plate can be rectangular, semi-circular, or quarter-round in shape so as to accommodate a plurality of disparate chimney interior shapes.
Abstract: A tool for facilitating cleaning of a sink and positioning of food debris into a garbage disposal. The inventive device includes a handle having a scraping assembly extending from a first end thereof for scraping food from a surface of the sink. A plunger assembly extends from a second end of the handle for facilitating positioning of food debris into a garbage disposal of the associated sink.
Abstract: A scraper and brush apparatus includes a brush having a number of bristles, a bristle retaining structure, and a brush body portion having a body portion surface having an engaging recess, a scraper assembly including a scraper plate having a scraping edge and having an engaging projection and a middle plate portion extending between the scraping edge and the engaging projection, the scraper plate being removably secured to the brush body portion with a fastener passing through the scraper plate middle plate portion and into the brush body portion and with the engaging projection fitted into the engaging recess. The engaging recess preferably includes a slot cut into the brush body portion and the engaging projection preferably includes a flange adapted to fit into the groove. The brush body portion preferably includes a handle portion and the recess is preferably located in the handle portion.
