  • Patent number: 5548860
Abstract: This invention relates to a ultra-speed conversion apparatus for floor treating machines which comprises a wheeled frame, an impeller member attached to the floor treating drive of the floor treating machines for rotation therewith, a plurality of floor treating element holders journaled through the impeller member and circumferentially spaced near the perimeter thereof. The floor treating element holders rotatably move in a track on the frame as the impeller member rotates. Ultra-speed floor treating elements are fastenable to the floor treating element holders which are capable of rotating in excess of 6600 rpm; whereas, the impeller member rotates at approximately 175 rpm. Because of such ultra speeds, the ultra-speed floor treating elements can burnish, strip, sand paper, wax, clean the floors including carpets and rugs more conveniently, faster, and more effectively than slower speed floor treating elements on floor treating machines not using this invention.

  • Patent number: 5511782
Abstract: A ball game device and method of using the same comprising a spherical body made of a resilient material preferably durable plastic or rubber and dimensioned to be kicked or struck on a playing surface either indoors or outdoors. The spherical body has eight equally-sized faces all of which are generally flat-surfaced for resting upon the surface. Each face has indicia displayed thereupon which describes and displays an outcome in a baseball game. Base members have words displayed thereon which correspond or are synonyms to the indicia displayed on the spherical body. The face facing upwardly on the surface after the spherical body comes to rest on the surface upon being struck, kicked, or rolled by the user determines the fate of the user in the ball game.

  • Patent number: 5456215
Abstract: A Protective Head For Animals comprises a pair of sheet-like pieces of material fixedly connected to one another and each having an eye opening. The protective head cover further comprises, in particular, an adjustable, flexible strap which slidably extends through the sheet-like pieces of material and is supported and guided by a strap guide which is fixedly attached to the undersides of the sheet-like pieces of material. The strap is adapted to allow the ears of the animal to nondeformably fit between the sheet-like pieces of material and the strap so that the strap does not cross over the ears thus cutting off the circulation of blood through the ears. The protective head cover urges the ears to rest essentially flat against the neck of the animal to allow the heat of the body to warm the ears.
