  • Patent number: 5377945
Abstract: This invention relates to a mount for redressably mounting a sign thereupon comprising a bracket member fixedly attached to an end of an elongate support member having essentially an angled cross section. The bracket member is mounted to a structure such as a bridge with the support member disposed generally horizontal relative to the ground such that the vertex is directed downward to display essentially a V shape. A tubular rotatable member having a square cross section is coaxially and rotatably mounted about the support member with a weighted pendulum swingably depending downwardly from the bottom wall of the rotatable member and with a sign support member extending upwardly from the top wall thereof to which a sign is fixedly attached. The support member provides two pivot points upon which the rotatable member rests with the sign in an upright position to substantially minimize swaying of the sign back and forth in the wind.

  • Patent number: 5356119
Abstract: A free standing versatile baby barrier system comprising individual modules each having a flat stiff mat-like horizontal component and a flat vertical component of similar width attached at one end near a mid-section of the horizontal component such that the width of the vertical component spans the width of the horizontal component. The vertical component is of sufficient height to prevent the baby from climbing over the barrier to the protected side, and the horizontal component is of sufficient length to require the baby to stand or crawl on the horizontal component thus securing the horizontal component to the floor by the baby's own weight. Individual modules may be detachably linked together with hinge members attached to the lateral edges of the vertical components of the modules, allowing for rotation of the modules relative to one another to conveniently adjust the barrier system.

  • Patent number: 5251368
Abstract: This invention relates to an internal locking puller device which comprises three pivotally mounted jaws, a cam ring which engageably slides along the jaws for camming together and apart the jaws for locking about bushings, bearings, seals, and the like, a disk-like collar to which the jaws are pivotally mounted, a T handle for adjustably controlling the movement of the cam ring, a slide rod, and a slide hammer slidably and reciprocally mounted on said slide rod for providing impacting force to remove the bushings, bearings, seals, and the like. The jaws have arcuate rearward portions with a pair of arcuate rails integrally extending from and along under edges thereof. The rails conform to the configuration of the arcurate rearward portions of the jaws so as to provide uniform locking strength across the jaws to virtually eliminate slippage of the jaws from internally about bushings, bearings, seals, and the like.

  • Patent number: 5174005
Abstract: The invention comprises of improvements in a locking puller device. The locking puller device has three pivotally mounted jaws and a cam ring which moves forward to pivot and lock the jaws about an object. The improvements comprise a flange-less, disk-like collar having axial slots therein to pivotally mount the jaws, a threaded sleeve which is threaded into a receiving member of the collar, and a T-handle which replaces the nut and which can be adjusted without a tool. These improvements vastly improve the strength and durability of the locking puller device and also are more user friendly. If the threads on the sleeve are damaged through use, the sleeve can be turned out of the collar and replaced with a new sleeve of various lengths, instead of having to also replace the collar which was fixed to the sleeve in the old locking puller devices.
