  • Patent number: 6273689
Abstract: An enabling an easy increase in the accuracy of a plunger stroke is provided in an electromagnetic pump, in which an inner yoke and a plunger constitute a magnetic circuit, and where an electromagnetic force acts on the magnetic circuit so that a magnetic gap between the inner yoke and the plunger is diminished. The plunger is reciprocated within a cylinder by the electromagnetic force and a restoration force of a spring. In such an electromagnetic pump, the stroke of the plunger is limited by two planes of respective members disposed opposite each other with the cylinder being disposed therebetween.

  • Patent number: 6213406
Abstract: It is sought to reduce combustion rise time at the start of driving, increase the combustion efficiency per unit heat exchanger volume and reduce the heater size. A ring-like fuel evaporating medium 4 is provided on an end wall of a combustion chamber formed in a combustion cylinder 1. The end wall has a combustion air lead holes formed, for forming a vortex flow, in its portion surrounded by the fuel evaporating medium. Fuel is supplied to a space in the vicinity of an upper part of the fuel evaporating medium. A combustion gas passage is formed by proving a first combustion gas collecting zone downstream a second combustion chamber adjacent to the first combustion chamber. A second combustion gas collecting zone 10 is provided around the first and second combustion chambers. The first and second combustion gas collecting zones 9 and 10 are communicated with each other by a plurality of connecting pipes. Combustion gas is exhausted from the second gas collecting zone 10.

  • Patent number: 6158787
Abstract: A rotary latch lock for the locking closure of a door, especially of a vehicle door of a tractor, including a rotary latch, a rotary latch spring coacting with the rotary latch as well as a stop piece, the rotary latch and the stop piece being pivotally mounted and capable of coacting in the bolting of the lock. The bolting is released by a lever system which has an actuating lever for acting on the stop piece. The rotary latch lock is provided with a lock base plate, the lock base plate being bent in a U-shaped configuration to include first and second shanks and a base shank, so that the actuating lever is articulated on the second shank, and the stop lever is articulated on the first shank, where the first shank provides a wall of the lock box.

  • Patent number: 6143572
Abstract: A pen-like device having a scriber for scratching a deep groove in a yellow colored, metal article object, such as jewelry, being tested for the gold content thereof, and an applicator provided on an opposite end of the pen-like device for conveying an acid solution, which is housed within the pen-like device, onto, around and in the groove to observe whether there is a color change to the testing area, on which the acid solution was applied, making the the testing area darker or black, where such a color change would indicate that the metal article or object is imitation gold, or has a gold content which is less than minimum karat requirement of the test.

  • Patent number: 6132834
Abstract: Pocket knife, having at least one side fabricated from a molded plastic material, includes a decorative element, for example a cross, inlaid flush with an outer surface of the side. The decorative element is stamped from a sheet of steel to provide a cross and a square frame which are positioned with respect to each other by two attachments. A greater portion of each attachment is pressed down, by stamping, from a curved first plane occupied by the cross and the frame to a lower second plane under the curved first plane. This greater portion is covered over by the molded plastic material. At least one portion of lateral flanks of the decorative element is disposed at an inclined angle in order to be partially covered over with the molded plastic material. Only one single operation is required for injecting the side of the pocket knife and for inlaying the decorative element in the outer surface of the side of the pocket knife.

  • Patent number: 6062572
Abstract: A metal gasket including a thin metal plate (1) provided with beads (3) and step members (4) each of which includes a coating layer having a property of high load resistance. The step member (4) is attached to the bead along a convex ridge of the bead (3), thereby increasing a quantity of compression of the bead (3), to cause a great surface pressure and decreasing an amplitude of stress in the bead (3) to improve a property of fatigue resistance of the bead (3). Also, the step member (4) is attached to the bead within a concave surface of the bead, thereby restraining the quantity of compression of the bead (3) to improve the property of fatigue resistance of the bead (3) and assuring the surface pressure on the concave surface of the bead by the step member (4).

  • Patent number: 5971682
Abstract: For correcting eccentricity of a tool chucked in a first part of an at least two-part toolholder, which first part is detachably connected via clamping means to a second part of the toolholder, which is clamped in a machine tool and rotates about an axis of rotation, setting means are provided by means of which the first part of the toolholder is displaceable relative to the second part. Radial eccentricity of the tool can thereby be corrected. Furthermore, between the first and second parts of the toolholder, two rings are disposed coaxially with, and rotatingly about, the axis of rotation. These rings have annular surfaces, one of which is inclined relative to the other at a certain angle. By mutual rotation of the two rings, the first part of the toolholder can be inclined relative to the second part, whereby an angular error of the tool can also be corrected.
