  • Patent number: 4187964
Abstract: This invention is a combined closure cap and pour-out fitment of the type used to seal glass or plastic or similar containers and particularly containers containing dispensible products such as salad dressings. The combination contains a pour-out fitment which is applied to the container with the closure and which remains on the container after the sealing closure is removed for limiting the flow of the dressing or other products. The dispensing fitment is a separately molded disc-like structure with a center aperture and is adapted for being snapped into the closure prior to the application of the closure to a container. The fitment and closure combination seal the container without any additional sealing liner.

  • Patent number: 4167138
Abstract: An improved breaker head is disclosed for use on automatic egg breaking machines. These machines receive whole eggs from a conveyor or other egg feeder and crack, open and drain the eggs. This improved head has a cracking knife arrangement which engages the inner side portions of the egg shells. This facilitates egg drainage by permitting a more complete and a more rapid draining of the egg white, facilitates the yolk removal, and adjusts knife penetration in accordance with the egg size to protect yolks from knife damage in smaller eggs.

  • Patent number: 4146988
Abstract: An improved fishing rod tip-up or strike indicator is disclosed which is removably attached to a fishing rod for indicating a strike while, at the same time, releasing the fishing line permitting it to run free. The tip-up has a clamp for removably attaching it to the fishing pole and has a partially rotating flag wire assembly supported by a pivot pin. As a fish strikes the bait, pulling on the fishing line, it causes the flag wire assembly to tilt to an upright strike indicating position. In this vertical position the fishing line will slip away from the holder allowing the line to run free.
