  • Patent number: 6835221
Abstract: The present invention has an object to improve the efficiency of collection of solidification constituents and solids in exhaust gas and to prevent early blockage of the filter without damaging the vacuum pump. In an exhaust path 48a, a vacuum pump and exhaust gas filtration device are provided. This exhaust gas filtration device is constituted by a trap device, pre-filter and filter. The pre-filter reduces the exhaust gas flow rate flowing through the interior of the exhaust path by controlling the exhaust gas flow path in the vessel. The aforesaid exhaust path is constituted by connecting this vacuum pump, trap device, pre-filter and filter which are arranged in this order from the side of airtight vessel and connected through piping if required.

  • Patent number: 6833968
Abstract: An image pickup lens is provided in which various aberrations are satisfactorily corrected, and the optical length is not more than 6 mm, and moreover a sufficient back focus is secured. This image pickup lens is configured by arranging, in order from the object side, an aperture diaphragm S1; a first lens L1 having a meniscus shape with concave surface facing the object side, and having positive refractive power; a second diaphragm S2; and a second lens L2 having a meniscus shape with concave surface facing the image side, and having negative refractive power. The aperture diaphragm S1 forms an incidence plane. The second diaphragm S2 provided between the first lens L1 and the second lens L2 is inserted in order to cut out so-called flare, which is light which strikes the peripheral edge of a lens or similar and is irregularly reflected.

  • Patent number: 6834052
Abstract: The band management circuit of the present invention is utilized in a fiber-optic network that uses, for example, ATM-PDS, in order for an SLT to control the transmissions of a plurality of ONU, which are accommodated by this SLT. The band management circuit of the present invention stores one time in a table an identification number, which specifies a multi-point device for which transmission is authorized. An identification number stored in a table is generated by a table generating portion. The table generating portion sequentially generates the identification number of a number of transmission authorizations determined in accordance with a transmission band provided to respective multi-point devices. A write/read control portion sequentially writes to a table identification number data generated by the table generating portion.

  • Patent number: 6800183
Abstract: The invention is intended to provide a sputtering device in which a single sputtering chamber is equipped with a plurality of supports and a target-positioning mechanism for rotating the supports to position the targets into film-forming position. Each support is provided with targets that are different from each other. The same types of targets are mounted in the same order on each support. The supports are rotated to select the same types of targets needed to form a film and to position the targets relative to the substrate. A plurality of the same type of targets are used simultaneously to form a film. The supports are then rotated to select the next targets, and the next film is built up on the previous film. As the film is formed, targets that are not used in the film-forming process can be cleaned with a cleaning device.

  • Patent number: 6787873
Abstract: A first guard ring formed by high concentration ion diffusion is established around the transistor formation region of the semiconductor substrate. A second guard ring is established around the first guard ring with a prescribed gap therebetween. A metal film is formed opposing to each guard ring with an insulating film interposed therebetween; these metal films are connected to the opposing guard rings by interlayer wires. The metal films are each connected to external terminals providing a standard potential by individual metal wires from their respective electrodes.

  • Patent number: 6779673
Abstract: A container having an inverted active cage generally includes an enclosed base portion, a body portion extending upwardly from the base portion, and a top portion with a finish extending upwardly from the body portion. The body portion further includes a central longitudinal axis, a periphery, a plurality of active surfaces, and a network of pillars. Unlike the prior art, each of the plurality of active surfaces is outwardly displaced with respect to the longitudinal axis, while each of the network of pillars is inwardly displaced with respect to the longitudinal axis. The plurality of active surfaces, together with the network of pillars, are spaced about the periphery of the container in order to accommodate vacuum-induced volumetric shrinkage of the container resulting from a hot-filling, capping and cooling thereof.

  • Patent number: 6748427
Abstract: A broadcast material delivery architecture provides coordinated inclusion of supplemental materials with delivered broadcast material. A broadcaster broadcasts the broadcast materials to a plurality of users, the broadcast material being divided into a plurality of segments. Also broadcast is program data associated with the plurality of segments. A user terminal receives the broadcast material from the broadcaster and retrieving supplemental materials related to said plurality of segments of said broadcast material. To retrieve the supplemental materials, the program data are provided to a data server, which provides parameters for the supplemental materials to the user terminal. The user terminal uses the parameters to retrieve supplemental materials from one or more databases. The user terminal plays the supplemental materials in conjunction with the broadcast material.
