  • Patent number: 5956988
Abstract: The present invention is a novel device and method of shaping an end of a pipe. One end of a pipe is inserted into a shaped die in such a way that the outer surface of the pipe rests against the interior portion of the die. A piston is then inserted into the pipe in such a way that the outer surface of the piston rests against the interior surface of the pipe. The piston is then forcibly driven into the die against the pipe as to forcibly shape the pipe to a predetermined configuration. The present invention also discloses numerous embodiments to shape a pipe.

  • Patent number: 5901677
Abstract: An inlet pipe system for a multicylinder internal combustion engine, especially with two rows of cylinders in a V-configuration, has a tubular inlet distributor 2, from which first individual inlet pipes 4 through 9 proceed which extend in an arc around the inlet distributor and which lead to the individual cylinders of the two rows of cylinders. Second, shorter individual inlet pipes 12 likewise proceed from the inlet distributor and discharge into the pertinent individual inlet pipes. The inlet distributor and the first and second individual inlet pipes are formed by a one-piece part 1 which has a longitudinal hole 14 which cuts the second individual inlet pipes 12 for the cylinders of the two rows of cylinders. Into longitudinal hole 14 a drum controller 15 is inserted which for each second individual inlet pipe 12 has an opening 16 which can be brought into alignment or out of alignment with the pertinent second individual inlet pipe by turning the drum controller 15.

  • Patent number: 5899650
Abstract: An improved slab cart is disclosed for the transport of a slab including a slab of marble, granite, stone, glass, and heavy objects. A first frame assembly attaches to a first end of a slab and a second assembly attaches to a second end of a slab. The first and second frame assemblies are coupled to the slab in such a manner as to support the slab in an upright position. The first and second frame assemblies each have a pair of elongated frame members and wheels mounted thereto for further supporting the slab and allowing the slab to roll freely without damaging surfaces upon which the slab cart may roll. The slab cart of the present invention is further provided with clamps coupled to the frame assemblies for engaging the slab in clamping relation. A retaining pin couples the ends of each frame member of each frame assembly preventing the frame members from spreading when the clamps are engaged.

  • Patent number: 5899641
Abstract: An ejector for providing motive gas for conveying particulate solids from a solids supply vessel through a conveying pipeline includes a gas introduction stage and a solids introduction stage. The gas introduction stage includes a fluids mixing chamber having a principal inlet port for connecting to a source of high-pressure compressed gas, an outlet port connected to the solids introduction stage, and a secondary inlet port that is open to the atmosphere or other low-pressure gas source. The solids introduction stage includes a fluids/solids mixing chamber having an inlet port connected to the gas introduction stage, an outlet port for connecting to a pipeline, and a material receiving port for connecting to a vessel outlet. As the compressed gas enters the gas introduction stage, the high velocity gas induces atmospheric air or other low-pressure gas from the secondary inlet port, thus increasing the mass flow into the solids introduction stage.

  • Patent number: 5875779
Abstract: The invention is an arcuately reciprocating human sexual fitness machine having male and female seats from which the female occupant may pivot and reciprocate along an arcuate path forwardly about a horizontal axis toward and away from the other seat, and may also reciprocate along a horizontal path. Counterbalancing of the female seat provides a levitating effect as the seat pivots forward. The machine provides a device for a male and female couple to engage in intercourse while both are seated, and able to be in complete and uninterrupted frontal contact upwardly from the genital region. The female seat is provided with an integral upper high restraint, a remote abutting surface for contact with the occupant of the male seat and is bifurcated to produce an open center for sexual access with a sitting surface forward of the horizontal pivoting axis of the seat.

  • Patent number: 5841147
Abstract: The Intermodal Modular Spent Nuclear Fuel Transportation System uses standardized truck, rail, barge or ship mounted equipment to transport nuclear materials including Spent Nuclear Fuel (SNF) in standardized overpacks maximizing interchangeability of transportation components. One or more standard truck transportable SNF canisters or standard overpacks are transported in shielded, truck-mounted overpacks. SNF canisters are transferred, using a winch or other movement device, to empty positions within large rail or barge transportable overpack bundles constructed using a plurality of overpacks. An overpack bundle is supported and raised by a cradle assembly and further may be rotated horizontally right or left to allow truck docking from a direction perpendicular to the normal orientation of the rail car. The overpack bundle is axially indexed for positioning empty overpacks for loading.

  • Patent number: 5832759
Abstract: The vehicle detention device disclosed includes a pair of stopper blocks, a locking means, a pair of chains and a cover unit. One stopper block is fixed to a guide shaft and the other stopper block can be movably displaced to accommodate the size of the object tire. Locking means prevents movable stopper block from being displaced away from contact with object tire maintaining stopper block contact with object tire on either side of tire at ground contact point thus preventing rotation. A pair of chains is used to fasten object wheel to detention device when stopper blocks are placed in the engaged position. Key operated cover unit conceals access to mechanical components needed to release the detention device from the fastened condition thus preventing unauthorized removal of the device from the restrained vehicle.
