Patent number: 6170377Abstract: A method for contactless inductive transmission of programming data to a programmable time fuse included in a shell for a single shot, semi-automatic, or fully automatic shell firing barrel weapon. While the shell is situated in a cartridge chamber of a barrel of the weapon, data is transmitted to the programmable time fuse from a programming device of the weapon via a transmitting coil arranged around the cartridge chamber of the barrel to a receiving coil arranged in the shell. At least a part of the barrel lying between the coils is replaced by a non-magnetic material and designed so that it does not form an electrically conductive short circuited layer that would prevent transmission between the coils.Type: GrantFiled: January 13, 1999Date of Patent: January 9, 2001Assignee: Bofors ABInventors: Rolf Larsson, Nils Johansson, Erik Fohrman, Björn Hagström, Sven-Åke Jern

Patent number: 6164341Abstract: In a weaving machine, the shuttles of the weaving machine are transferred over and across the warp threads of the machine. The method and apparatus have the object of preventing factors which adversely affect the weave result from occurring at high shuttle speeds. One or more air or gas streams (flows) are conveyed from the undersides of the warp threads and upwardly via the warp threads to their upper sides. With the upwardly conveyed air or gas stream, each shuttle is given a lifting movement which prevents burn damages, deformations and wearing of the warp threads due to a high shuttle speed.Type: GrantFiled: November 19, 1997Date of Patent: December 26, 2000Assignee: Texo ABInventor: Bo Lindblom

Patent number: 6167136Abstract: A method for securely storing analog or digital data on a data storage medium. An analog information signal is combined with a noise signal. The composite noise and information signal is encrypted with a key which is derived from the noise signal. The encrypted composite signal is compressed and then recorded on the data storage medium along with an encrypted value of the key. The storage medium data is read, decompressed, and decrypted using a decryption key derived from the stored encrypted key. The data is then converted to an analog signal and combined with a noise correction signal derived from said key to eliminate the noise signal added to the analog information signal before storing the signal on the data storage medium.Type: GrantFiled: May 16, 1997Date of Patent: December 26, 2000Assignee: Software Security, Inc.Inventor: Wayne W. Patent number: 6160292Abstract: According to the present invention, a circuit and methods for enhancing the operation of SOI fabricated devices are disclosed. In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, a pulse discharge circuit is provided. Here, a circuit is designed to provide a pulse that will discharge the accumulated electrical charge on the body of the SOI devices in the memory subarray just prior to the first access cycle. As explained above, once the accumulated charge has been dissipated, the speed penalty for successive accesses to the memory subarray is eliminated or greatly reduced. With a proper control signal, timing and sizing, this can be a very effective method to solve the problem associated with the SOI loading effect. Alternatively, instead of connecting the bodies of all SOI devices in a memory circuit to ground, the bodies of the N-channel FET pull-down devices of the local word line drivers can be selectively connected to a reference ground.Type: GrantFiled: April 22, 1998Date of Patent: December 12, 2000Assignee: International Business Machines CorporationInventors: Roy Childs Flaker, deceased, Louis L. Patent number: 6152187Abstract: A weaving machine arrangement includes a heald frame weaving machine and, arranged on both sides of the latter, two sets of accessory equipment. The warp thread set of the heald frame weaving machine is divided into a first set and second and third warp thread sets. The second and third warp thread sets are used in order to form extended turning-fold areas in the tubular-woven material. The accessory equipment forms patterns for the terminating positions of the weft threads in these areas, strong seaming functions are obtained in the tubular-woven material. Cut-off thread ends are anchored by heat action. The degree of automation is increased in relation to conventional manufacturing by virtue of the fact that the seaming function can be carried out in the heald frame weaving machine itself.Type: GrantFiled: June 21, 1999Date of Patent: November 28, 2000Assignee: Texo ABInventor: Bo Lindblom
