Abstract: A protection circuit 10 provided with a current regulating section 14 with a first end connected to a power source line VDD and a second end connected to an input terminal 116A of an inverter 116. The current regulating section 14 applies a voltage of less than a threshold value voltage to the input terminal 116A when a surge current having predetermined frequency characteristics flows from the first end in a particular flow path, by generating induced electromotive force so as to generate a magnetic field to cancel out the magnetic field occurring due to the surge current, thereby impeding flow of the surge current. The current regulating section 14 applies a voltage of the threshold value voltage or greater to the input terminal 116A when a driving current not having the frequency characteristics flows in from the first end.
Abstract: An overcurrent protective wire wound resistor has a core, a second contact cap and a resistance wire. A first contact cap and a resistor connection seat are respectively mounted on two ends of a rod of the core. A low melting-point conductive layer is mounted around the rod and connected with the first contact cap and the resistor connection seat. A high-temperature contractive insulation layer is mounted around the low melting-point conductive layer and the first contact cap. The second contact cap is mounted around the contractive insulation layer. The resistance wire is connected to the resistor connection seat and the second contact cap. When current through the resistance wire abnormally increases, high temperature of the resistance wire melts the low melting point conductive layer to shrink the contractive insulation layer and open the low melting-point conductive layer and the resistor, thereby protecting the circuit connected to the resistor.
Abstract: An apparatus for stacking electrode plates includes a first and second transfer conveyor units, and an electrode plate support. The first transfer conveyor unit includes an addressing conveyor and a movable conveyor, and a power unit drives the movable conveyor upward and downward to vary the angle between the movable conveyor and the addressing conveyor. The second transfer conveyor unit has a plurality of conveyors located at different heights. The electrode plate support has a plurality of support plates which are placed vertically parallel to one another. The electrode plate support is moved upward and downward in a vertical direction via a conveyor device to move the support plates to positions adjacent to their own corresponding conveyors of the second transfer conveyor unit at different heights, and each of the support plates accepts an electrode plate from its own corresponding conveyor of the second transfer conveyor unit.
Abstract: Spin coating method for a recording medium having a hole in the center, including moving a tip of a feeding nozzle to an initial position at a distance X above a recording surface and a distance A radially apart from a periphery of the hole, feeding a coating liquid onto the recording surface for a predetermined period of time while rotating the recording medium at a predetermined speed, and moving the tip from the initial position along a radial direction towards an outer periphery of the recording medium while keeping the tip above the recording surface at the distance X. X satisfies X?2 [3 r ?/(2 g C)]1/3, where ? and C respectively are surface tension and density of the coating liquid, r is the outer radius of the feeding nozzle, and g is the acceleration of gravity. A satisfies A?r+X/3.

Abstract: In a robot for training a rehabilitator, the driving of actuators is controlled to generate the forces acting in six directions at the distal end of a bi-articular arm device to reproduce the relationship between the muscular output of the upper or lower limb of the human body and the output direction at the distal end of the limb. The rehabilitator can experience the relationship between the outputs of his or her limb muscles and the output direction at the distal end of the limb. Thus, the six actuators are run in operation along a predetermined sequence. One or more of the actuators, selected so that the direction of the force generated at the distal end of the first link will be the selected direction, is run in operation. The rehabilitator holding the distal end of the first link may physically experience the direction of that force.
