Abstract: An interface is provided between a running computer application and a system monitor. The system monitor handles notification messages generated by the computer application. The interface includes an import module to scan a source file, extract notification messages from the source file and store the notification messages in a scan file. The interface includes a manager module to display each notification message in the scan file in a table in a graphical user interface to allow modifications to the data in the table. The data is exported to an export stage. The export module performs any translation required to create a file of the notification messages in a format that is acceptable to the system monitor.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention relate to systems and methods for database registration. According to an embodiment of the present invention, a method for database registration includes receiving a user identifier of a user and then sending a query to a first database based at least in part on the user identifier. A first data value associated with the user is received from the first database. A second data value associated with the user is received from a data source, which is different from the first database. The first data value and the second data value are stored in a second database, which is different from the first database.

Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for providing selectable options to a calling party while the calling party is on hold. A call from the calling party is received and the calling party is placed on hold. While on hold, the calling party is provided with a plurality of selectable options. Each of the plurality of options corresponds to a predefined operation. A selected option request, corresponding to one of the plurality of options, is received from the calling party. The predefined operation corresponding to the selected option request is then performed. A system is also provided having instructions thereon for providing selectable options to a calling party while on hold.

Abstract: A system and method is described for augmenting cellular telephone signals for a cellular telephone. In an exemplary embodiment, a cellular battery is equipped with a sound generating device that stores one or more audio signals that are activated upon receipt of a telephone call. Optionally, the battery may store a library of audio signals that may be programmable and edited. The system and method of the present invention enables a user to choose audio alert sounds beyond the scope of those provided by the manufacturer of a cellular telephone.

Abstract: A method and system is disclosed for compressing a file comprising computer markup language. Contents of a file containing markup language, including a first and second markup language tag, are read. Data corresponding to the first and second markup language tags is identified and the first markup language tag, data and a placeholder are pushed onto a stack. A method and system of decompressing the resulting compressed document are also disclosed. The first markup language tag, data and placeholder are popped off the stack, and the second markup language tag corresponding to the first markup language tag is identified. The second markup language tag corresponding to the first markup language tag is generated, and the first markup language tag, data and second markup language tag are stored in memory.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention disclose an efficient and inexpensive method for detecting tampered products utilizing current off the shelf components. Features of some embodiments provide for a RFID labeling system that uses multiple RFID components attached to a single product unit being embedded in the product's label and one or more tamper labels. Such RFID labels usually comprise an adhesive label containing an RFID component, a destructible conducting path that acts as an antenna and a unique encryption. The RFID labels transmit the encryption when irradiated by an RF scanner. A complete inventory of multiple associated encryptions reported during an RFID scan of a product package provide positive indication that product has not been tampered with. A missing encryption indicates a faulty product seal or an event of tampering.

Abstract: A system and method for recharging secondary batteries. One embodiment of the present invention comprises a supervisory circuit, a voltage converter, a portable power source, and one or more of a holder and a socket. The holder is adapted to receive a specific type of secondary battery of a portable device. The socket is adapted to mate with a plug of a device-specific charging cord connected to the portable device. Each of the holder and the plug can be associated with a programming resistor that provides a voltage requirement of the secondary battery. When the secondary battery is either placed in the holder or is connected to the socket, the supervisory circuit communicates with the voltage converter to supply the appropriate voltage required to recharge the secondary battery. The voltage converter receives power from the portable power source. The voltage converter can convert the voltage of the portable power source up (i.e., increasing the voltage) or down (i.e.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus are disclosed for a technician to access an intranet through a systems interface to back-end legacy systems. Generally, a technician logs a computer into a systems interface that permits access to back-end legacy systems. Preferably, the systems interface is located on at least a first network address. Preferably, the systems interface includes a first server with middleware for managing the protocol interface. Preferably, the systems interface includes a second server for receiving requests and generating legacy transactions. After the computer is logged in, a request for access to an intranet is made. Preferably, the request results from the technician selecting an icon or engaging a software button. After the request is processed, a message is sent from the systems interface to the computer. The message causes the computer to launch a software application that seeks out a separate network address corresponding to the intranet.

Abstract: The present invention uses a software program to analyze all of the SS7 message traffic in a telephone network. By comparing point codes in the message data, the present invention can detect invalid and undesirable network inefficiencies in different types of telephone networks, including for example, wireline, wireless, or hybrid networks.
