    Abstract: Systems and methods of indicating to a line worker when there is a defective zipper profile extruded onto a generally flat plastic web while moving in a feed direction in a re-sealable container production line. The system includes a sensor for detecting the defective zipper profile and a web distortion device that actuates in response to the sensor detecting the defect. The web distortion device keeps the web bunched together while it spools onto a roll support device located downstream thereby making it readily apparent to a line worker that the bunched segment contains the defective segment.

An adjustor for controlling a position of the caliper with respect to the mount is configured for adjustment to change the position of the caliper with respect to the mount in an unactuated condition of the brake caliper thereby moving the caliper with respect to the mount and adjusting the position of the first and second brake pads with respect to the rotor. The brake caliper also may have an adjustable brake pressure feature.

    Abstract: A multilayer release liner for use in a roofing system, that includes a roofing membrane and an asphalt or bitumen adhesive. The multilayer release liner contains a core layer including PET, surrounded by several outer layers including at least two tie layers adhered to the core layer, and at least two polyolefin layers adhered to the tie layers. The multilayer release liner of the present invention is highly compatible with silicone and does not contain any ingredients that may interfere with the adhesion or cure of a silicone coating. The liner of the present invention also provides an effective oil barrier and minimizes oil migration and discoloration of the multilayer release liner from the adhesives used in roofing systems.

When the liner is placed in a receptacle, the liner can be expanded by resiliently stretching the resilient segment so that the liner may apply a gripping force to the receptacle. The liner can include gusseted side panels. A mouth can be formed as a recess in the top ends of front and rear panels and extend through the gusseted side panels to define handle portions and form apertures in the handle portions that open to the mouth.

    Abstract: A system and method for extruding film with a thickened profile section. In some embodiments, the film forms bags with integral zipper profiles. Plastic film is extruded to form a tube. During extrusion, each thickened profile section is radiantly cooled in a preferential manner before thinner sections of the film freeze. A freezing control device includes at least one radiant cooling plate that is operatively aligned with a thickened profile section. The device also includes a cooling fluid recirculation system configured to maintain the plate at a temperature below the temperature of the extruded tube. The plate can be adjustably mounted on a base for positioning the plate at the desired orientation for cooling the thickened profile section of the tube.
