Patent number: 11072103Abstract: A system and method for extruding film with a thickened profile section. In some embodiments, the film forms bags with integral zipper profiles. Plastic film is extruded to form a tube. During extrusion, each thickened profile section is radiantly cooled in a preferential manner before thinner sections of the film freeze. A freezing control device includes at least one radiant cooling plate that is operatively aligned with a thickened profile section. The device also includes a cooling fluid recirculation system configured to maintain the plate at a temperature below the temperature of the extruded tube. The plate can be adjustably mounted on a base for positioning the plate at the desired orientation for cooling the thickened profile section of the tube.Type: GrantFiled: June 26, 2017Date of Patent: July 27, 2021Assignee: Inteplast Group CorporationInventor: Todd Shaw

Patent number: 10994908Abstract: A package for storing perishable goods. Film forming the package has an inner layer that defines an interior surface of the package and is formed from a polyethylene and a tack agent that has migrated to the interior surface to provide tackiness. The tackiness permits cold resealing of the package after it has been opened, without substantially adhering to the perishable goods so that the perishable goods can be non-destructively removed from the package. An outer layer of the film defines an exterior surface of the package and is formed from another polyethylene. The polyethylene of the outer layer is configured to block migration of the tack agent through the outer layer such that the exterior surface is substantially non-tacky.Type: GrantFiled: October 23, 2019Date of Patent: May 4, 2021Assignee: Inteplast Group CorporationInventors: Ting Li, Andy Lu, Ter-Hai Lin, Jeff Teng

Patent number: 10966475Abstract: A fixture, system, and method for coating a glove with a coating material are described. A fixture includes a support member and a clamping member movable relative to the support member to a closed position. The clamping member is configured to be at least partially received in a cuff of the glove. In the closed position, the cuff is captured between the clamping member and the support member. In this configuration, a majority of an external surface of the glove is exposed for being coated. A glove-coating system can include one or more fixtures on a conveyor that move the fixture around various processing stages of the glove-coating system. In certain methods of coating a glove, coating material is applied to the glove while the glove is suspended from the fixture. The coated glove can be removed from the fixture without being everted.Type: GrantFiled: April 27, 2018Date of Patent: April 6, 2021Assignee: Inteplast Group CorporationInventors: Ben Tseng, Chih Jen Hsu, Wenchao Hsieh, Jyh-Yao Raphael Li, Kelvin Yang

Patent number: 10737878Abstract: A liner for lining a receptacle has a front panel and a rear panel that define an interior and a top opening in fluid communication with the interior. A frangible sizing seal structure joins together the front and rear panels along the top of the liner adjacent a side of the liner. The sizing seal structure limits a size of the liner opening and is configured to be selectively broken to separate the front and rear panels to enlarge the size of the liner opening so that the top edge margin fits over a rim of the receptacle. In a method of making the liner, the front and rear panels are sealed together to form the frangible sizing seal structure.Type: GrantFiled: November 30, 2016Date of Patent: August 11, 2020Assignee: Inteplast Group CorporationInventors: William Edward Sweaney, Peter W.
