    Abstract: In an automated deboning device for deboning a bone-in leg of livestock carcass, a clamp unit 12 suspending the work w includes a servomotor 104, a threaded shaft 106 connected to an output shaft of the servomotor 104 and a lifting and lowering block 108 threadably mounted on the threaded shaft 106. A lifting and lowering roller 92 mounted on a lifting and lowering shaft 70 travels in a traveling path 94 to lower and transfer the work w to a next work station. By bring a swinging roller 84 mounted on the lifting and lowering shaft 70 in contact with the cam plate 170, 180, 182, the lifting and lowering shaft 70 is rotated by a setting angle so that the work w faces round cutter blades 22, 64. Thus, the pathway of the round cutter blades 22, 64 can be approximately straight, thereby simplifying and reducing the cost of the moving mechanism.

A storage unit of a controller stores three-dimensional position coordinates of a target operation course of each of the cutting blades. The target operation course is corrected on the basis of the two-dimensional position coordinates of the bone part obtained for each work in the image analysis process unit.

    Abstract: This description relates to a heat pump and a method of using the heat pump. The heat pump includes a hydraulic compressor that compresses a heat medium, an oil separation and recovery device that separates oil from the heat medium discharged from the compressor and returns the separated oil to the compressor, a condenser that liquefies the heat medium compressed in the compressor, a decompression device that decompresses the heat medium liquefied in the condenser, and an evaporator that causes the heat medium to absorb heat. The aforementioned devices are connected in series and the heat medium is circulated in those devices. The heat medium can be compressed at a compression ratio, at which a discharge temperature from the compressor becomes 150 to 200° C. An intake temperature control unit which can control the temperature of the heat medium taken into the compressor is on the intake side of the compressor.

    Abstract: A tempering treatment method whereby the temperature of meat, which involves a carcass prepared by slaughtering cattle or poultry and sterilizing and washing, is lowered as close to the ice storage temperature as possible to prevent a temperature rise caused by the actions of enzymes contained within the meat before transporting the meat to a refrigerated storage, which comprises surface-freezing the meat by blowing a cold air stream at about ?20 to about ?40° C. to the meat before conducting the tempering treatment, thus allowing the generation of freezing latent heat in the subcutaneous part owing to the surface-freezing (freezing the subcutaneous tissue), and then rapidly lowering the core temperature inside the meat due to the latent heat released at the melting of the freezing latent heat to thereby conduct the tempering treatment at a temperature of 0 to +15° C.

Compression space is formed by a male rotor and a female rotor, and operation gas is fed for compression to the compression space. A method of supplying lubrication oil prevents degradation of volumetric efficiency caused by return of lubrication oil, coming from a bearing and a shaft sealing device, to the low-pressure stage screw compressor. As a result, refrigeration capacity is improved and the amount of the lubrication oil is reduced.

    Abstract: A Rankine cycle system has a condenser, a refrigerant circulating pump connected to the condenser, a heat collecting device connected to the refrigerant circulating pump, and an expansion turbine connected to the heat collecting device and the condenser. The refrigerant circulating pump includes an expansion tank or pressure vessel, a refrigerant supply conduit connected to the lower part of the expansion tank and to the condenser, and a refrigerant discharge conduit connected to the upper part of the expansion tank. An open/close valve is installed in the refrigerant supply conduit. A pressure regulating valve installed in the refrigerant discharge pipe opens when a pressure reaches a specified value or higher. A temperature regulating device can heat the refrigerant in the expansion tank to produce a refrigerant vapor of saturated temperature or higher, which vapor can be introduced into the heat collecting device.
