The liquid injection screw compressor has the male and female rotor pair of screw rotors, the rotor casing (1a, 1b) having a bore for receiving the rotors, a gas suction opening and a gas outlet that are provided in both end sections of the casing and communicate with the bore, and a lip section (4) projected from a bore surface (2) positioned more on the upstream side than a suction seal line (5) of the casing in order to prevent a back flow of the liquid from the bore surface toward the gas inlet side.

    Abstract: To shorten a long aging time required for meat processing and reducing the viable cell count of a carcass before being cooked, an electric stimulus is imparted by applying an AC voltage via from electrode needles to at least the neck and legs of the meat carcass. The AC voltage is turned on for a time Ton and then turned off for a time Toff, and the application of the voltage is repeated a predetermined number of cycles. The Ton period is not longer than the Toff period, although the first Ton period can be longer than the Toff period. The voltage is not higher than 100V, and the frequency is not higher than the commercial frequency (maximum, 60 Hz). The aging effect is improved by stimulating the entire meat carcass electrically from at most three points.

    Abstract: Liquid nitrogen is filled in a low temperature vessel; an ejector that sucks liquid nitrogen by blowing a cooling agent (liquid or gas) such as low temperature helium gas or liquid helium of pressure higher than in the space within the vessel is disposed in the vessel; the liquid nitrogen blown with the cooling agent is cooled by the cooling agent to become fine particles of solid nitrogen which fall down; and gas in a space of the vessel is discharged out of the vessel so as to maintain the pressure of the space higher than the atmospheric pressure. A gaseous phase of liquid nitrogen in an adiabatic vessel is depressurized to vaporize nitrogen in a liquid phase so that the temperature of the nitrogen reaches the triple point of nitrogen by lowering the temperature to thereby produce solid nitrogen by keeping the temperature at the triple point, and that the produced solid nitrogen is transformed into slush by stirring the content of the adiabatic vessel.
