  • Patent number: 4930916
Abstract: A paper feeder roller wherein a motor transfers a driving force to a deceleration gear train. The deceleration gear train transfers this force to the shaft of a paper feeder roller which is rotated thereto. A plate connected to the paper feeder roller is rotatable about an axis so that the rotation of the plate rotates the paper feeder roller in and out of engagement with the deceleration gear train. When the paper feeder roller is disengaged with the deceleration gear train, the paper feeder roller can be rotated manually.

  • Patent number: 4931879
Abstract: In an image recording system for use in recording a sequence of coded signals on a recording medium, such as a CD-ROM in response to a sequence of image signals divisible into a succession of frames each of which is subdivided into a plurality of splits, the image signals are selectively subjected to interframe coding and intraframe coding in a coder to be coded into first and second error signals, respectively, under control of a coding control circuit. The intraframe coding may be carried out about a selected split at every frame, at every preselected period, or at predetermined positions of each scene. The second and the first error signals are rearranged into the coded signals by delaying the second error signal relative to the first error signal. Such a second error signal serves to reproduce an initial image on reproducing the coded signals and enables a reverse reproduction, a quick search, a high speed reproduction, and the like in a reproducing system.

  • Patent number: 4929937
Abstract: A circuit for generating an image signal having an image pattern creating device for successively reading data from a memory in step with a deflection operation. The image pattern creating creates an image pattern consisting of dots, the minimum width of which is determined by the storage capacity of the memory. A compressor detects the horizontal edges of the image pattern and delays the horizontal edges by a period shorter than the period corresponding to the minimum width of the dots thereby compressing the width of the dots.

  • Patent number: 4905279
Abstract: A remote control receiver which can be "taught" to recognize a remote control signal from any of a plurality of remote control receivers as its control signal. For this purpose, the transmitting code and the carrier of a remote control signal are analyzed and the transmitting code is stored in connection with the instruction content during a learning mode. Then, during normal operation, a received remote control signal is filtered by a band pass filter in which the filter band is set in accordance with the carrier of the remote control signal stored during the learning mode. The filtered signal is then decrypted with reference to the stored transmitting code, thereby permitting receipt of the remote control signal transmitted from a heterogeneous remote control transmitter. In this manner, the remote control receiver may be "taught" to respond to commands from a remote control transmitter the user is accustomed to using.

  • Patent number: 4872750
Abstract: A projected image displaying apparatus for displaying bright three-dimensional images on a display screen. In one embodiment, images in three colors, each in the form of vertically oriented stripes, are projected onto a transmissive diffusion surface with the stripes of the three images interleaved with one another, and preferably slightly overlapping one another. A lenticular lens may be employed to direct the three dimensional image to the eyes of the viewer. In another embodiment, the two-dimensional images are projected in a form of three energy beams, which may be infrared, ultraviolet or visible light, onto a light-emitting layer composed of repeating sequences of first through third phosphor stripes, each corresponding to one of the primary colors.

  • Patent number: 4866733
Abstract: A radio bus system formed by combining a spread spectrum (SS) communication radio bus system with an electrical power line bus system using a spread spectrum modulated signal of the same signal format as that used in the radio bus system. An information signal transmission system is formed which transmits an information signal between a controller and a device which may or may not be connected to the electrical power line bus system, the information signal to be transmitted being converted into a spread spectrum modulated signal by an SS modem on a transmitter side and being succeedingly converted into a radio signal in a radio transmitter part of the transceiver section on the transmitter side for radiating the radio signal. The received radio signal is then converted on the receiver side into a spread spectrum modulated signal in a radio receiver part of the transceiver section and converted into the information signal by the SS modem on the receiver side for transmission through the electrical power line.

  • Patent number: 4864589
Abstract: This invention is directed to various improvements in spread spectrum power line communications. One aspect of the invention relates to collision avoidance between varius "slave" unit transmitters trying to send messages to a single "master" unit receiver by detecting whether the transmission path is in use and refraining from transmitting if it is. Other aspects of the invention relate to controlling the frequencies of spread spectrum data messages transmitted, using gold codes to identify the slave units, and switching frequency bands on the powe line to avoid frequencies where there has been a deterioration of transmission. In each embodiment, the signal modulated over the power line is modulated by a signal which is synchronous with A.C. power flowing through the power line used for communications.

  • Patent number: 4862277
Abstract: An imaging device such as a video camera having a viewfinder for displaying an imaging signal to the photographer which indicates the degree of hand wobble (i.e., movement of the camera by the photographer). A hand wobble display circuit generates this imaging signal for the viewfinder by generating a field-difference or a frame-difference signal of the electronic viewfinder signal and displaying the difference signal on the viewfinder. The magnitude of the difference signal can be used to determine the degree of hand wobble.

  • Patent number: 4841366
Abstract: A cyclic noise reducing apparatus for reducing noise in video signals by positively feeding back an output video signal which has been delayed through a field memory circuit for storing and selectively delaying video signals by a field (n lines) or by a field plus one line (n+1 lines) and cyclically adding the output video signal to an input video signal. The delay time is selected using a delay time switch for switching during a vertical scanning period the delay time of the signal positively fed back alternately between n and n+1 line periods. Also, the video signal may be alternately delayed by n or n+1 lines by suspending the writing and reading of data to and from the field memory circuit for one line period during the vertical blanking period of each frame.

  • Patent number: 4752144
Abstract: A reciprocative typing control system in which a typing head is driven reciprocally for typing letters at periodic separations in response to a typing signal A following a delay D. A timing signal is produced each time the head is driven by a predetermined distance less than the letter separation and the timing signals counted. In the forward direction a typing signal is produced when the count equals the number of timing signals totaling the separation. In the backward direction the typing signal is produced when the count plus the number of timing signals in delay D equals the number of timing signals totaling the separation.
