  • Patent number: 10369290
Abstract: The present invention provides a next-generation pre-filled syringe having a reduced number of components and requiring reduced costs and including a safety mechanism for preventing needlestick injuries. In the syringe of the present invention, elastic engagement members 11 of the cover 6 engage the injection needle 5 so as to prevent the injection needle 5 from being withdrawn from the elastic engagement members 11 of the cover in a retracted state toward the base end, and the elastic engagement members and injection needle are disengaged from each other as the elastic engagement members 11 are diametrically expanded/deformed. Further, the plunger 4 includes an integrated deformation-prevention part 41 covering the outer peripheries of the plurality of elastic engagement members 11 so as to prevent the elastic engagement members 11 and the injection needle 5 from being disengaged from each other as the elastic engagement members 11 are diametrically expanded/deformed.

  • Patent number: 9844633
Abstract: It is an object of the present invention to provide a syringe which is capable of preventing an accident such that a patient inadvertently sticks her/his hand with an injection needle when improperly performing a needle retracting operation. A sleeve (10) is fitted around a syringe barrel (2) so as to be axially movable from an administration position such that the injection needle (5) projects to a distill side to an accommodation position such that the injection needle (5) is accommodated. A coil spring (16) for biasing the sleeve (10) toward the accommodation position is provided between the sleeve (10) and the syringe barrel (2), and is held in a compressed state in a spring holder (17). The spring holder (17) is disposed in association with the syringe barrel (2) so as to release the coil spring by further pushing the syringe barrel (2) to the distal side after completion of the administration of a liquid drug.

  • Patent number: 9788993
Abstract: A plug member integrally includes a base portion (35a) attached to a plug holder (31) to be mounted on a mouth portion of a container, a plug (34) engaged with an engagement portion (31c) provided in an outlet passage of the plug holder (31), and a resilient connection portion (35b) resiliently connecting the plug (34) to the base portion (35a). Before the first use, the outlet passage is closed with the plug member. In the first use, the container is squeezed to increase the internal pressure of the container. Thus, the plug (34) is disengaged from the engagement portion (31c) by the internal pressure. The outlet passage is thereafter constantly kept open.

  • Patent number: 9555941
Abstract: There is provided a snap-on vial cap with a protective cover, which can be removed from a cap body by a constant removal force, and can hardly be attached to the cap body again, once being removed. A cap body 5 and a protective cover 6 are molded integrally by an insert molding method or a two-color-molding method, which generates moderate adhesive strength therebetween. An annular convex portion 12, 13 having a concave section 14 formed on the outer circumferential surface thereof is provided on the cap body 5, and an engagement portion 18 for engaging with the concave section 14 is provided on the protective cover 6, thereby enabling the protective cover 6 to be easily removed from the cap body 5 with good operativity while preventing the protective cover 6 from accidentally detaching. Alternatively, projections 23 provided on a top plate of the cap body 5 are engaged into a plug 4 to prevent the cap 1 from rotating.
