  • Patent number: 11820475
Abstract: Autonomous underwater vehicles and systems are provided with fast stabilization and fine attitude control with a constant and high rotational speed flying wheel to rotate the vehicle's body with respect to its core and optionally a combination of reaction masses used in three perpendicular axes. The gimbal and the reaction mass inertial systems are used for fast response to any angular or linear disturbance coming from the ocean current or waves. When equipped for optical communications, the vehicle has an optical receiver and transmitter and controller that provides three levels of attitude stabilization: gimbal and the reaction mass inertial systems; isolated movable platform and fine optical beam steering for targeting the laser beam from the transmitter. The ability to maintain precise positioning allows multiple vehicles to be optically linked.

  • Patent number: 11804290
Abstract: Highblood levels of very low density lipoprotein lipids (VLDLs) and glycoprotein acyl (Glyc A) are known to increase risk of diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, inflammations, cognitive impairments, cancers and premature deaths in sedentary persons. The invention determines physical activity thresholds of daily steps and accelerations to reduce plasma concentrations of VLDLs and Glyc A. The method and device is an accelerometer recording and classifying numbers of steps and accelerations and comparing the person's steps and accelerations with those shown to reduce VLDLs and Gly A. The invention is characterized in that if the daily number of accleration maxima exceeds the given en threshold of 2980 steps in the acceleration range 1.3-1.7 g, the person has performed physical activity, typically known to reduce circulating VLDLs and Glyc A.

  • Patent number: 11780389
Abstract: A system and method for decoding an unknown automotive controller area network (“CAN”) message definitions. CAN data vehicle signal mappings are typically held in secret and varied by automotive model and year. Without knowledge of the mappings, the wealth of real-time vehicle data hidden in the automotive CAN packets is uninterpretable—impeding research, after-market tuning, efficiency and performance monitoring, fault diagnosis, and privacy-related technologies. This technology can ascertain the CAN signals' boundaries (start bit and length), endianness (byte ordering), signedness (binary-to-integer encoding) from raw CAN data. This allows conversion of CAN data to time series. Interpreting the translated CAN data's physical meaning and finding a linear mapping to standard units (e.g., knowing the signal is speed and scaling values to represent units of miles per hour) can be achieved for many signals by leveraging diagnostic standards to obtain real-time measurements of in-vehicle systems.

  • Patent number: 11725957
Abstract: To provide context-aware audio navigation instructions, a server device obtains sets of audio navigation instructions previously provided to users along with sensor data descriptive of a context in which the audio navigation instructions were provided and an indication of whether a driver correctly responded to the audio navigation instructions. The server device trains a machine learning model using this data, where the machine learning model identifies audio navigation instruction parameters for a particular context. In response to a request for navigation directions, the server device receives sensor data from the client computing device generating the request that is indicative of the environment surrounding the client computing device. The server device then applies the sensor data and navigation instructions to the machine learning model to generate a set of audio navigation instructions responsive to the request.

  • Patent number: 11687961
Abstract: Disclosed are embodiments for the aggregation and analysis of vehicle prices via a geo-specific model. Data may be collected at various geo-specific levels such as a ZIP-Code level to provide greater data resolution. Data sets taken into account may include demarcation point data sets and data sets based on vehicle transactions. A demarcation point data set may be based on consumer market factors that influence car-buying behavior. Vehicle transactions may be classified into data sets for other vehicles having similar characteristics to the vehicle. A geo-specific statistical pricing model may then be applied to the data sets based on similar characteristics to a particular vehicle to produce a price estimation for the vehicle.

  • Patent number: 11676081
Abstract: A method encompasses a damage evaluation session which may be initiated by an evaluation system user using a user device such as a smartphone. The evaluation session allows the user to identify a damaged section of a damaged product, and then displays a properly sized representation of the damaged section at the user device. This displayed representation of the damaged section is associated with a grid which defines a number of grid segments with each grid segment aligned with a respective portion of the representation. The method includes receiving a damage and location information input for one or more of the grid segments. Based upon the damage and location information input for the one or more grid segments, damage estimate data is retrieved from a repair data store and applied to produce an overall repair cost estimate for the damaged section.
