Abstract: Provided are a signaling monitoring method and system. In the method, multi-path network signalings are accessed, and one or multiple key control signalings are acquired from the acquired multi-path network signalings; the one or multiple key control signalings are analyzed to acquire and share whole-network key control information; and the multi-path network signalings are managed and distributed by utilizing the acquired whole-network key control information. Since each access point has an identical whole-network control table consisting of the whole-network key control information, the technical solution can distribute user plane signalings and control plane signalings per a user to each data analysis center according to the whole-network control table, thus ensuring the control plane and user plane signalings related to the user to be distributed to the same data analysis center.

Abstract: Systems and methods for measuring end-to-end data path delays between a Radio Equipment Controller (REC) and a Radio Equipment (RE) of a base station are disclosed. In one embodiment, a system includes a RE configured to transmit an uplink chirped sine wave signal from the RE to a REC on an uplink data path from the RE to the REC via an asynchronous communication network. The REC is configured to correlate a reference chirped sine wave signal and a received signal from the RE. The REC is further configured to determine an uplink data path delay from the RE to the REC based on results of the correlation of the reference chirped sine wave signal and the received signal from the RE on the uplink data path. In another embodiment, a downlink data path delay is measured in a similar manner.

  • Patent number: 10374847
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for indicating a modulation coding scheme (MCS) in LTE are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive downlink control information (DCI) from an evolved Node B (eNB) that includes an uplink grant of resources. The DCI may be configured and have a format that conveys an MCS table reference. The UE may identify the MCS table reference and, based on the reference, identify a legacy MCS table or a non-legacy MCS table. The legacy MCS table may be associated with quadrature amplitude modulation (QAM) up to a first order, and the non-legacy MCS table may be associated with QAM up to a second order, the second order being higher than the first order. The UE may modulate and code information for uplink transmissions using the identified MCS table.

  • Patent number: 10349438
Abstract: Channel availability is uncertain when employing an unlicensed carrier. In particular, it may be difficult to schedule grants in advance because of the uncertainty associated with future channels availability. Accordingly, scheduling UL and/or DL grants exclusively using self-scheduling or exclusively using cross-carrier scheduling for utilizing an unlicensed carrier may result in wasted communication opportunities. Aspects disclosed herein whereby an eNB may use licensed and unlicensed carriers to communicate downlink grants and uplink grants for an unlicensed carrier to a UE. In one aspect, the eNB may use an unlicensed carrier to communicate downlink grants for downlink communication on the unlicensed carrier, and may use a licensed carrier to communicate uplink grants for uplink communication on the unlicensed carrier.

  • Patent number: 10305802
Abstract: Method, apparatus, and systems for reliably transferring Ethernet packet data over a link layer and facilitating fabric-to-Ethernet and Ethernet-to-fabric gateway operations at matching wire speed and packet data rate. Ethernet header and payload data is extracted from Ethernet frames received at the gateway and encapsulated in fabric packets to be forwarded to a fabric endpoint hosting an entity to which the Ethernet packet is addressed. The fabric packets are divided into flits, which are bundled in groups to form link packets that are transferred over the fabric at the Link layer using a reliable transmission scheme employing implicit ACKnowledgements. At the endpoint, the fabric packet is regenerated, and the Ethernet packet data is de-encapsulated. The Ethernet frames received from and transmitted to an Ethernet network are encoded using 64b/66b encoding, having an overhead-to-data bit ratio of 1:32.

  • Patent number: 10284356
Abstract: A wireless communication device includes, in part, an analog interference cancellation circuit and a controller. The analog cancellation circuit includes a multitude of delay paths each including a delay element and a variable attenuator. The controller dynamically varies the attenuation level of each of the variable attenuators in accordance with the frequency response characteristic of that attenuator to remove a portion of a self-interference signal present in a signal received by the device. The device measures the frequency response characteristic of the communication channel, used in determining the attenuation levels, via one or more preamble symbols. A second portion of the self-interference signal is removed by the device using a multitude of samples of a transmitted signal and a multitude of samples of a signal to be transmitted.

  • Patent number: 10257092
Abstract: One embodiment provides a system that facilitates forwarding of packets with variable length names. During operation, the system receives a packet with a hierarchically structured variable length identifier (HSVLI) which comprises contiguous name components ordered from a most general level to a most specific level. The system performs a longest prefix match lookup by selecting an entry from a first data structure of entries. The entries indicate a name component, forwarding information for the name component, and a plurality of entry identifiers that chain an entry to another entry. If a size of the name component is less than or equal to a predetermined threshold, the system selects an entry based on the name component. If the size is greater, the system selects an entry based on a compressed key which can be a hash of the name component. The system also resolves collisions associated with the selected entry.
