  • Patent number: 10097453
Abstract: Methods for performing retransmission of data packets over a network. A node receives a data packet with a source and a destination address. The data packet is sent along a network path to the destination address, and information associated with the data packet is sent to a controller node that is independent of the network path. A controller receives information associated with a data packet from any forwarder node within a plurality of forwarder nodes each monitoring communications along separate communications paths. An indication of a receipt acknowledgement for the data packet is received from a second forwarder node that is separate from the first forwarder node and the controller node. The receipt acknowledgement is correlated with the data packet and based on the correlating, data associated with retransmission processing of the data packet is deleted.

  • Patent number: 10075309
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for indicating a modulation coding scheme (MCS) in LTE are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive downlink control information (DCI) from an evolved Node B (eNB) that includes an uplink grant of resources. The DCI may be configured and have a format that conveys an MCS table reference. The UE may identify the MCS table reference and, based on the reference, identify a legacy MCS table or a non-legacy MCS table. The legacy MCS table may be associated with quadrature amplitude modulation (QAM) up to a first order, and the non-legacy MCS table may be associated with QAM up to a second order, the second order being higher than the first order. The UE may modulate and code information for uplink transmissions using the identified MCS table.

  • Patent number: 10063467
Abstract: A tunnel endpoint of a virtual network monitors the flows between the tunnel endpoint and at least one other tunnel endpoint. The virtual network spans a physical network. A flow identifier for each flow is determined based on packet headers of packets in each respective flow. A path identifier for each flow is also determined based on the packet headers of the packets in each respective flow. Each path identifier indicates a route that the respective flow takes in the physical network to reach the respective destination tunnel endpoint. The path identifier and the flow identifier of the respective flows are then transmitted to a controller of the virtual network.

  • Patent number: 9900839
Abstract: Disclosed herein, among other things, are systems and methods for managing power consumption in a wireless network. One aspect of the present subject matter includes a method for wireless communications of isochronous data. A transmission of isochronous data is received using an electronic device having a battery. The method determines how many redundant transmissions can be received by the device within a predetermined time frame while limiting discharge of the battery, and adjusts reception of the redundant transmissions based on the determination. In various embodiments, a reduction in received redundant transmissions preserves energy and prevents complete discharge of the battery.
