Abstract: Provided herein are compounds that inhibit IDO1 and methods of use thereof. Also provided are pharmaceutical compositions and medicaments that include the compounds described herein as well as methods of treating sarcopenia or age-related muscle loss.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a dermal drug delivery platform comprising: a primary wound dressing comprising three-dimensional polymer protuberances that extend upward from the dressing surface to engage the wound. The protuberances comprise at least one biocompatible and/or biodegradable polymer and medicinal nanoparticles. In one embodiment, the medicinal nanoparticles may be metallic and provide surface-area-enhanced galvanic action to drive medicinal ions into the wound bed. Various methods of making the disclosed dermal drug delivery platform, as well as three-dimensional methods of treating a wound using the platform are also disclosed.
Abstract: A syringe adapter is provided. The adapter includes a housing having a first end and a second end positioned opposite the first end. The first end of the housing has a connector configured to be secured to a syringe barrel. The adapter also includes a cannula positioned within the housing and a seal arrangement including a membrane or septum positioned within the housing and movable within the housing, the seal arrangement comprising a membrane. The assembly can also include a protective cap having a first open end and a second closed end. The protective cap can be connected to the housing via a snap fit and can be configured to receive the second end of the housing.

Abstract: The pyrazolidinedione derivatives were found to possess blood glucose lowering properties. These compounds were designed as potential PPAR gamma inhibitors, an essential molecular target for clinically used antidiabetic drugs. Owing to their promising anti-hyperglycemic activity, these derivatives may find useful applications for the treatment and/or prevention of obesity, diabetes type II and I, hyperglycemia and other diseases where PPAR gamma is implicated such as cancer, atherosclerosis and hyperlipidemia.
Abstract: A garment is provided to be worn post-surgery during recovery from urological surgical procedure. The garment is in the form of men's underwear or brief, with features provided to assist in recovery and comfort of the user. The garment includes a center flap that can be opened to provide access to a center pocket that is aligned with the user's crotch. The center pocket contains a moldable body that can be molded to a particular shape to support and hold the user's penis in a pre-determined orientation to facilitate the recovery process. The flap also includes a pocket that can contain a heating/cooling pack that is arranged to apply heat/cooling to the surgical site. The garment is also configured to accept and support a medical drainage tube to drain the surgical wound, and a drainage pump as needed.

Abstract: A filtering device for removing particles from a fluid of a patient is provided. The filtering device being implantable in the patient's body and comprising a cassette comprising a revolving member, said revolving member having at least two segments each holding a respective filter. Abstract: Certain embodiments provide systems, methods, and computer program products that administer pain management treatments remotely, according to a dynamic prescription. In some embodiments, the dynamic prescription provides for changes in a dosage of a medication or electrical stimulation, based for instance upon changes in the patient's pain tolerance level, biological indicators, or behavioral characteristics. In some embodiments, if it is determined that a dosage change is needed, the dosage change can be compared against the dynamic prescription to determine whether the dosage change is permitted within the scope of the dynamic prescription. In some embodiments, if the dosage change is determined to be outside what is permitted by the scope of the dynamic prescription, the updated dosage information can be provided to the patient's physician for authorization of the updated dosage.
