  • Patent number: 7598466
Abstract: Disclosed is a thin key sheet in which the adhesive is prevented from being squeezed out and in which adhesive marks and bubble marks are hard to be visible. An adhesive layer is in a dot pattern formed by a plurality of dots spaced apart from each other by gaps, so when attaching a key top and a base sheet to each other through an intermediation of the adhesive layer, it is possible to allow air to escape through the gaps, and bubbles recognizable to a naked eye are not easily trapped by the interior of the adhesion layer or an interface between the adhesive layer and the key top. Further, since the adhesive layer is a screen print layer, a dimension of elements of fine pattern thereof can be on an order of microns, thereby making the fine pattern of the adhesive layer hard to be visible through the key top.

  • Patent number: 7595458
Abstract: An enclosure has an edge for defining a window opening. A keyboard is set in the window opening. A support member attached to the enclosure from the inside of the enclosure to receive the edge of the enclosure and the keyboard. A wall stands upright from the surface of the support member at a position outside the window opening. When coffee is spilled on the keyboard, the liquid flows into a space between the keyboard and the window opening. The surface tension of the liquid serves to prevent the liquid from immediately leaking outside the window opening through the gap between the edge and the support member. The liquid then starts leaking outside the window opening through the gap. The wall of the support member blocks the liquid. It thus takes a while before the liquid flows over the wall.

  • Patent number: 7586052
Abstract: An electromechanical switching device, a switching device arrangement and an electric connection module are disclosed. In order to make it easier to connect an electromechanical switching device, a switching device is provided with a base body, and with a connection module that can be connected to the base body and has at least one connection terminal for a main current path of the switching device. In at least one embodiment of the present invention, a modular construction is used instead of the integrated design used in previous switching devices. For that purpose, a number of connection terminals are combined into one or more connection modules for each switching device, and the connection modules can be mounted individually and independently from the base body of the switching device. This makes it possible to pre-wire the connection terminals without the actual switching device. Only afterwards does the base body of the switching device need to be mounted.

  • Patent number: 7579568
Abstract: In the switch, a terminal section and a contact section of a fixed contact are separately formed and the two sections are connected via a coil made of a conductive metal wire. After electrical connection is established between a movable contact and fixed contacts, a weak current with no arc discharge flows between the movable and the fixed contacts. This prevents build-up of oxide or carbide on the contact surface, allowing the switch to have stable contact operation and accordingly reliable electrical connection.

  • Patent number: 7579567
Abstract: An ergonomically designed switch for a halogen worklight. The worklight includes a switch housing attached to the worklight head and a push-action switch mounted in the switch housing for energizing one or more halogen lamps mounted in the worklight head. An ergonomic switch is operated by pressing on a switch button, which is formed to present an ergonomically sized engagement surface to the user. The size of the engagement surface is related to the typical size of a finger pad of the human hand. Through the simple expedient of providing a substantial switch button on the actuating shaft of the switch and sizing the engagement surface of the button to correlate with the size of the human hand, the ease and comfort of operation of the worklight is dramatically improved over worklights having awkward switch mechanisms long thought in the prior art to be unavoidable.

  • Patent number: 7569786
Abstract: The invention relates to an actuator for an electric push-button switch (30) comprising a housing shell (10) in whose shell opening (13) a holding plate (20) is placed. A holding suspension, together with outer stops (21) and outer counterstops (11) between the holding plate (20) and the holding housing permit the non-actuated holding plate (10) to be pressed into a defined outer position of rest (20.1). A push-button switch (30), which is arranged in the housing shell (10), is, together with its switching element (31), located in an extended position (30.1) that is effected by a switch suspension (33). The aim of the invention is to provide an economical space-saving design. To this end, the switch suspension (33) of the push-button switch (30) is simultaneously provided with the function of providing the holding suspension of the holding plate (20).

  • Patent number: 7569787
Abstract: An electromagnetic switch has a shaft and a movable contact member slidably supported by the shaft. The shaft is moved with a plunger when an electromagnet is formed of an electromagnetic coil receiving an electric current and attracts the plunger. The movable contact member is moved with the plunger and connects fixed contact members with each other to turn on the switch. The shaft has a shaft body and a projection projected from the shaft body. The movable contact member has a hole. The projection is inserted into the hole to pass through the hole, and the movable contact member is disposed on the shaft body. Then, the movable contact member is rotated so as to engage the projection with the movable contact member. Therefore, the projection prevents the movable contact member from coming out of the shaft.

  • Patent number: 7564003
Abstract: A detect switch (100) includes an insulative housing (2), a first, a second, a third and a fourth fixed terminals (11, 12, 13, 14), a moveable contact (3) electrically connecting with the third and the fourth fixed terminals, a driving mechanism depressing the moveable contact. The moveable contact has four periphery contact portions (32) each formed with a protrusion (33). One of the protrusions resists against the third fixed terminal in assembly. When the moveable contact is depressed to have a central contact portion (31) thereof contact with the first fixed terminal, the periphery contact portions tilt upwardly to leave away from corresponding fixed terminals for insulating the third and the fourth fixed terminals. The third and first fixed terminals are thereby electrically connected due to an engagement among the moveable contact and themselves.

  • Patent number: 7560652
Abstract: Angled spring contacts and switches made with contactors containing angled spring contacts are disclosed. The housing for the angled spring contacts has a generally cylindrical shape. The contacts are contained within the housing with their ends extending from the housing on either side. The contacts are formed by making bullet-shaped internal contacts that are joined by a spring. The spring is mounted to the two contacts to urge the two contacts away from each other at an angle to a longitudinal axis of the housing. This angle forces contact between each contact and the housing in at least two places, thus creating redundant paths between the contacts. Switches, such as plunger switches having a normal or OFF position, and an actuated or ON position, may be made with one or more angled spring contacts. The contacts have separate surfaces for electrical conduction and for arcing.
