Abstract: This disclosure describes, generally, methods and systems for exchanging alternative currencies. The method includes creating, at an alternative currency platform, a plurality of user accounts and receiving, from a first user in the plurality of user accounts, an alternative currency exchange offer. The alternative currency exchange offer includes one or more offer terms and associated assets. Furthermore, the method includes extending the alternative currency exchange offer from the first user to the second user, in response to receiving acceptance of the offer from the second user, verifying the associated assets of the first user and the second user, and in response to verification of the assets of the first user and second user, providing settlement of the alternative currency exchange offer.

Abstract: Embodiments are in the field of mobile applications and wireless processing, especially of commercial transactions, and more specifically for enhancing the user experience in restaurants even while enhancing the service delivery model efficiency of restaurants. Embodiments include a computer accessible medium for processing commercial transactions, to perform operations that comprise identifying wireless devices and determining their respective locations in a vendor service area, sending an interactive order menu to the identified wireless devices, receiving and displaying order data from the wireless devices, processing the received order data, and accepting a payment for a completed order.

Abstract: A method for purchasing based on social collaboration is provided. The method includes receiving primary customer order information and executing a collaborative pizza ordering application having an order initiation window and collaborative order window associated with at least one menu item order. The order initiation window has a list of at least one contact and at least one communication channel. The collaborative order window has a response summary of the at least one contact. The collaborative pizza ordering application is configured to: receive at least one contact selection input of the list; receive at least one communication channel selection input of the at least one communication channel; display the response summary corresponding to at least one social response from the at least one secondary customer and at least one proposed order; and communicate a social order comprising the at least one secondary customer and the at least one communication channel.

Abstract: Visual diagram searching techniques are described herein. A visual diagram service enables users to efficiently search for data for item parts even in cases where the name of the item part is unknown. In one or more examples, search query input to locate item parts of an item is received via a user interface displayed by at least one computing device. A visual diagram of the item is displayed in the user interface. The visual diagram includes selectable portions mapped to respective item parts depicted in the corresponding selectable portion of the visual diagram. A user selection of one of the selectable portions of the visual diagram of the item is received via the user interface. In response to the user selection, search result data corresponding to the respective item part depicted in the selected selectable portion of the visual diagram of the item is displayed.

Abstract: Systems and methods for generating dynamically definable gift objects are provided. A gift service may train a gift object algorithm and a gift selection algorithm using sample datasets. A gift request may be received and the gift service may generate a gift object with an undefined set of gift object using the gift object algorithm. A redemption request may be received and the gift service may generate a custom set of gift selection options using the gift selection algorithm in response to the redemption request. Abstract: An online transaction with a merchant website is initiated and completed via a single input action by a user. An online transaction application retrieves a first portion of user credit card information from a first storage location and a second portion of the user credit card information from a second storage location, decrypts the first portion with a first decryption key and the second portion with a second decryption key, encrypts and temporarily stores the complete user credit card information, and publishes an order associated with user order information to a pub/sub message bus. In response to the order being published, a headless browser that is connected to the merchant website retrieves and decrypts the unified user credit card information; completes the merchant checkout process; and deletes, erases, or otherwise removes the temporarily stored complete credit card information.

Abstract: A biometric exit system controls exit of a person from an area with an asset. The system obtains a digital representation of a biometric for the person. The system receives an identification of the person using the digital representation of the biometric. Using the identification, the system receives permissions regarding whether or not the person may exit the area with the asset. If the person is permitted, the system allows the person to exit. Upon allowing exit, the system may transmit a message to the person. The message may include a confirmation of a transaction and/or one or more offers to which the person can respond.

Abstract: Systems and techniques for a design-aware image search are described. The design-aware image search techniques described herein capture a design on an item to determine additional items with similar or matching designs. An image of the item is used to create an edge image of a design, and shape descriptors are generated describing features of the edge image. These shape descriptors are compared to shape descriptors associated with other images to locate images that have similar or matching designs as compared with the input image. The design-aware image search system may uses these relationships to generate a search result with images or products having a design similar to the design on the input image.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a technique that enables customization of a vehicle. In an information processing apparatus, a controller presents vehicle units extracted from among a plurality of types of under units each of which is provided with a driving mechanism configured to cause wheels to rotate and a plurality of types of upper units to be loaded on any of the under units to a user, the vehicle units being combinable as a vehicle. Furthermore, the controller executes: accepting selection by a user from among the presented vehicle units; and calculating a fee in the case of providing the selected vehicle units.

Abstract: Systems and methods for that allow for the creation and management of a centralized gift registry are described. Gifts are added to the centralized gift registry from retailer-specific registries. A gift registrant may select one or more retailers. The centralized gift registry system may automatically submit a request for the creation of retailer-specific registries at each of the retailers selected by the gift registrant, based in part on information provided to the centralized gift registry by the gift registrant. This creation may involve the use of APIs at the centralized gift registry or the retailer-specific registries. A gift list is created and displayed. Gift givers may select a gift from the centralized gift registry.
